A man from Mississippi has been charged with a hate crime after he allegedly badly damaged a Satanic display at Iowa's capitol building in Des Moines in December. The damaged display included a statue of the pagan idol Baphomet. [SNIP] Michael Cassidy, a former Mississippi congressional candidate, was charged after the vandalism with misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.
He said at the time, "My conscience is held captive to the word of God, not to bureaucratic decree. And so I acted."
That charge was upgraded, according to court documents reported on by the Des Moines Register, accusing Cassidy of committing felony third-degree criminal mischief.

He should receive the same penalty the BLM rioters received for vandalizing statues and monuments in 2020: Nothing.

Now we are giving protection to Satan’s spawn that has been stripped from American patriots. Topple a monument to any Founding Father and absolutely nothing happens. It is celebrated. Touch what has been considered truly evil since the beginning of time and you will face immediate prosecution. We either are a country of laws or we are a country of men and it is clear we have abandoned the law in favor of a pernicious agenda that is destroying us driven by leftist political ideology. It is being done to show us they have the power to prosecute without restraint.

So-called Satanists in this country don't worship Satan. They're all former Christians upset they were forced to go to church as children who are now acting out.
Their entire reason for existing is to troll Christians. They're all atheists who don't believe in God, Satan or any other divine beings. It's performative art.

Still need to get a jury to find him guilty, in Iowa. Luckily he is not on trial in NYC or California.

#7, the "garbage" who live in Iowa voted for Trump in 2020. They have a Republican governor, two Republican senators, and all four of their House members are Republicans.

He should be able to use a simple, no-brainer defense: "The devil made me do it."

You shouldn't damage other peoples' stuff just because you dont like it. At the same time, it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

"Hate Crimes" must be destroyed! "Hate" is a "thought sin." You DO NOT want government making any aspect of thought illegal. It\s an inescapable slippery slope. That said, it's a way the Feds have of getting around double-jeopardy legalities. If the perp walks on the principle crime, just charge them for "hate" for a second go. It's un-Constitutional, since the first trial considered any pre-meditation.
Is being against "hate crime" laws in and of itself a "hate crime?" Dang, I'm in Thought Police jail now! /s

#8 No, it all comes down to free, uninhibited sex. Since the Garden of Eden the forbidden fruit was sex. LGBTQ+ is all about sex. Man/child love is on the horizon..Teach your children well.

Oh, but.... during the 2020 Summer of George riots our ruling class told us that destruction of property was not violence, but peaceful protest.
