A group of survivors of Nazi death camps marked the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp during World War II in a modest ceremony Saturday in southern Poland. [SNIP] Police were also on alert after pro-Palestinian activists indicated that they would ignore a police order and go ahead with a rally planned to coincide with the Holocaust commemorations. Italy's Jewish community has complained that such protests have become occasions for the memory of the Holocaust to be co-opted by anti-Israel forces and used against Jews.

Interestingly woke TCM is playing " Shoa " ( Hebrew for catastrophe), a French documentary about the Holocaust. Also playing later, a documentary about the Nuremberg Trials.

Twenty years ago, while performing sleep study tests at a Jewish run hospital, I had the experience of working on several people with the tattoo numbers from camps from WWII. At first, I was surprised and somewhat scared to ask any questions, but one woman noticed me looking at the tattoo and started talking about her experience. I could have listened to her and asked questions for hours, but I needed to start the study. Needless to say, I was moved by her stories and felt I had a moment of time in history which only increased my admiration for everyone who lived at that time.

Kendrick Lamar was slammed by fans for having the 'worst halftime show ever' after he hit the stage at the Caesars Superdome for his Super Bowl halftime performance in New Orleans on Sunday. Fresh of his Grammy wins, the rapper, 37, didn't seem to carry that momentum into his performance during the showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. The LA native showcased his lyrical prowess as he started out the performance on top of a car before taking a swipe at his hip hop rival Drake.

The mainstream media spent an average of 46 minutes covering Donald Trump's January 6 pardons but just three minutes covering Biden's pardoning of his own family, new analysis has found. Between January 20 and January 22, ABC, NBC and CBS devoted 15 times as much airtime to Trump's pardons than they did Biden's, the analysis by The Media Research Center found. The anchors who led the coverage included ABC's George Stephanopoulos and CBS's Norah O'Donnell. Biden issued a series of preemptive pardons for family members James B. Biden, Sara Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John T. Owens, and Francis W. Biden in the final hours of his administration.

Target has been banned from participating in the Minneapolis Pride parade after the retail store decided to axe its DEI program. The retailer has long supported Twin Cities Pride, but after news broke of the company deciding to cut back on its policies, the pride organization's Executive Director Andi Otto banished the store and its $55,000 in funding. The parade organization took to social media on Sunday to share that the company's decision - announced in a newsletter on Friday - was 'the breaking point', even though Target was expected to sponsor the parade again this year.

Swedish authorities have launched a preliminary investigation into suspected sabotage and detained a vessel in the Baltic Sea after damage was reported to an undersea data cable between Latvia and Sweden. Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze said early Monday that the cable was “significantly damaged” but the operator was prepared, so “we have not suffered any loss of data or transmission.” [SNIP] This is the latest in a string of ruptures of undersea cables in a vast underwater network of conduits that carry gas, electricity and internet traffic to millions of people across Northern Europe.

Haitian migrants have turned to religion amid the looming threat of deportation under the presidency of Donald Trump - who accused them of eating their neighbors' pets on the campaign trail. [SNIP] The town was thrust into the national spotlight during the presidential campaign when Trump accused Haitians in Springfield of eating their neighbor's cats and dogs. Now, migrants in the community are concerned that they will be targeted and sent packing, as Trump authorizes ICE raids across the nation.

Just the other day, a local technical college near Stuttgart, Germany, rang Kai Höss with alarming news. Someone had been etching swastikas on the doors of the loos. This followed a number of student protests against Israeli operations in Gaza. Might Kai give a talk to the students? He did not hesitate. Days later he was addressing a packed assembly, reading a first-hand account of scenes from the death camp at Auschwitz. [SNIP] Kai speaks with a unique authority. The author of those accounts was not some terrified witness. He was Kai's grandfather Rudolf Höss, commandant of Auschwitz.

The corrupt ANC government just starved dozens of black miners to death to gain control over the diamond trade. The regime suffered a massive decline in popularity forcing it to cut deals even as it hiked welfare spending and taxes. [SNIP] President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday signed the Expropriation Bill into law. In a statement, the Presidency said the Bill allows for local, provincial and national authorities “to expropriate land in the public interest for varied reasons that seek, among others, to promote inclusivity and access to natural resources”.

The CIA has today revealed its belief that COVID-19 was likely leaked from a Chinese lab after years of denial under the Biden administration. A spokesperson for the agency said on Saturday that they now favor the lab theory. Officials said that there is no new evidence behind their shift in opinion - it is based on the same evidence they have been mulling over for months. 'CIA assesses with low confidence that a research-related origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is more likely than a natural origin based on the available body of reporting.

Mexican authorities blocked a US military plane from deporting illegal migrants on Thursday after President Trump's immigration crackdown began. US officials told NBC News that a jet filled with illegal immigrants bound for Mexico never took off after authorities south of the border rejected the move. The flight was one of three that were set to take off on Thursday, alongside two Guatemala-bound Air Force C-17s carrying over 150 people, as part of what Trump has described as the largest mass deportation effort in US history. Deporting migrants to foreign countries requires permission from the incoming nation's government, which Mexico declined on Thursday.

Less than a month into 2025, the ‘Year of the Snake’ is already living up to its ominous reputation. For Russians, it is the symbol of upheaval in the Chinese zodiac: the revolutions of 1905 and 1917, the Nazi invasion of 1941, Stalin’s death in 1953, and the Soviet collapse in 1989 all fell under its shadow. Now, some fear history is once again coiling to strike. Why? Donald Trump’s abrupt shift in tone towards the war in Ukraine.

NASA has ended its diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEI) programs after all federal agencies were directed to 'terminate' the initiatives. Staff received an email Wednesday from acting administrator Janet Petro, which said the space agency is 'taking steps to close all agency DEIA offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump's executive orders.' The order is titled 'Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions.' NASA's email admitted that 'these programs divided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and resulted in shameful discrimination.'

I don't even know where to start with this one. Every time this woman opens her mouth, she says something dumber than the last time she spoke. Yes, you may have guessed that I'm talking about the most obnoxious person in politics at the moment, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas). Apparently, Crockett was the guest speaker at the 125th Anniversary Program at Grace Baptist Church in Connecticut over the weekend, and while I've only seen a minute or so of her speech, it didn't come across as very Godly or Christian-like. In fact, it's extremely racist and offensive. But considering the source, are we surprised?

The cuts made to the so-called “foreign aid” agency USAID (which doesn’t actually have humanitarianism as its primary purpose) in the first days of the Trump 2.0 administration affected various global vaccine initiatives, many of which were pet projects of self-styled philanthropist Bill Gates. In an attempt to ensure these projects remain federally funded, Gates has reportedly been quietly lobbying the administration behind the scenes to protect the billions that flow to his “non-profit” ventures. Putting aside the ultimate question of why Bill Gates isn’t under a federal prison, why do we allow creatures like this to slink around the White House trying to convince Trump,

A federal judge on Tuesday ordered the White House to restore the Associated Press’s access to presidential events, saying that the decision to impose limitations violated the news organization’s free speech rights. U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden ruled that it was unconstitutional for the Trump administration to punish the AP because it refused to change its style guidance for the Gulf of Mexico, which President Trump renamed the Gulf of America. McFadden ordered the White House to restore the AP’s access to the Oval Office, Air Force One, “and other limited spaces when such spaces are made open to other members of the White House press pool.”

But now that Trump is going so overboard, Congress can, has every legal authority to take those powers back, and that’s what we aim to do.” Host Brianna Keilar asked, “On the tariff issue, you’ve been in the Senate for more than

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem took part in early-morning deportation raids in Arizona Tuesday, almost getting kicked by an illegal alien as he was detained in the back of a police vehicle. Noem, who takes part in the raids to remind criminal aliens that there's a new sheriff in town, was speaking with a suspect who had just been cuffed and placed in the back of the SUV. "Do you understand the charges against you?" she asked Jose Escobar-Robles, who was being picked up for reportedly illegally funneling money to Mexican drug cartels. Escobar-Robles's response was muffled, but Noem replied, "Yeah, well, you're gonna be prosecuted."

The federal judge who blocked the Trump administration's use of a 1798 wartime law to immediately deport Venezuelan nationals canceled a planned Tuesday court hearing to review the case after the Supreme Court handed a win to the president. In a minute order published Tuesday morning, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg announced that the previously scheduled Tuesday afternoon hearing would be vacated in light of the high court's ruling, which determined, among other things, that the "appropriate venue for such proceedings is the Southern District of Texas," or wherever plaintiffs that are subject to potential removal are currently being held.

Democrats love to portray themselves as the compassionate ones. They just want to help people, especially the poor and downtrodden. When you ask them about illegal immigration, they will tell you that these are just poor people looking for a better life for themselves and their families. That's why they were perfectly okay with a wide-open southern border and letting millions of people into the country. It was all about compassion. However, as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to dig into the twisted story of America's finances, we are finding out that the compassion ruse is just that, another Democrat party scheme.

As violence and domestic terrorism by Trump haters against Elon Musk and Tesla escalate, many on the left are trying to excuse extreme acts of vandalism. WASHINGTON — The White House warned Monday that President Trump would veto a bipartisan bill that would mandate congressional approval of all tariffs should it arrive on his desk. Trump’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) said the measure introduced last week by Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) “would severely constrain the President’s ability to use authorities long recognized by Congress and upheld by the courts to respond to national emergencies and foreign threats.” The Trade Review Act also “eliminates leverage over foreign trading partners, inhibits reshoring and supply chain resilience, fosters market uncertainty, and introduces procedural micromanagement,” the OMB Statement of Administration Policy added.

Americans have seen a lot of Tim Walz lately as the failed vice-presidential candidate has held town halls nationally criticizing national Republicans. In a telling interview, he admitted to the New York Magazine this week, “90% of the time, I can be really good, but about 10% of the time, I can be a train wreck.” And in an interview with Jake Tapper that was itself something of a train wreck, he rejected the conclusion that every American with a pulse now acknowledges: that Walz and other Democrats should have forced Joe Biden off the presidential ticket in light of his obvious cognitive decline.
