The Ohio House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon voted to override Governor Mike DeWine’s veto of legislation that would ban child gender transition hormone therapy and surgeries as well as boys in girls’ sports.
In a 65–28 vote, the chamber, after convening for a special session, rejected the Republican governor’s attempt to kill the SAFE Act. The bill now heads to the state senate, which will be in session on January 24, for an override vote. In a statement following his veto, DeWine explained that he’d be announcing subsequent action specifically regarding child gender transition procedures, but not hormone injections and puberty blockers.

The migrant buses into sanctuary New York City aren't stopping.
And now they've run out of hotel space as winter kicks in and the sanctuary city with its "right" to housing for all comers takes it on itself to find some place to house them.
So now the kids are being thrown out of their own school, James Madison High School, where Chuck Schumer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg are alums, for the sake of the migrants.
It's like COVID is happening all over again, and kids are being told to sign in to Zoom classes if they can, they need to request it first. LibsOfTikTok believes it was actually planned.

Teachers working for the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) cheered as Hamas terrorists raped and murdered Israelis on October 7, according to recently divulged transcripts of a UNRWA Gaza online group.
More than 3,000 UNRWA teachers in Gaza belong to the social media group, which is hosted on the instant messaging platform Telegram and was exposed by the watchdog group UN Watch. The digital forum contains posts celebrating the massacre of October 7 just moments after it began.
“This is the motherlode of UNRWA teachers’ incitement to Jihadi terrorism,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch.

Democratic consultant and political commentator James Carville said Tuesday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360″ that former President Donald Trump will underperform” with voters in Iowa.
Carville said, “Moderates, do they show up? If so, it probably helps Haley. More than 60,000 moved to the Des Moines suburbs since the 2016 race. Right? They’re not all Republicans. But do those that are Republicans show up? What will we see the suburbs around Cedar Falls, around Dubuque? The flip side is across the top up here, across the bottom down here, those are the evangelical rural counties that Ted Cruz beat Donald Trump in 2016. Trump is expected to run it up there.

Dave Calhoun, president and CEO of aircraft manufacturing giant Boeing, admitted to employees in a meeting Tuesday that the company is "acknowledging our mistake" after the door plug of a 737 Max 9 blew out in midair during an Alaska Airlines flight last week, just minutes after the plane had taken off from Portland, Oregon.
"We're going to approach this number one acknowledging our mistake," Calhoun said in the meeting, a Boeing spokesperson confirmed to CBS News. "We're going to approach it with 100% and complete transparency every step of the way. We are going to work with the NTSB who is investigating the accident itself to

The cockpit door aboard last week’s troubled Alaska Airlines flight surprised the flight crew by swinging open seconds after the fuselage suffered a potentially catastrophic rupture, according to the chair of the federal agency investigating the incident.
National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy said during a news briefing Monday that the cockpit doors flew open immediately after the paneled-over exit door popped off of the fuselage. A flight attendant had to try three times to get it to close again, Homendy said. “The cockpit doors flew open immediately and at this point the flight attendant in the forward portion of the aircraft was standing. The cockpit door flew open,

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been hospitalized since Jan. 1 for complications following a surgery to treat prostate cancer, officials at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said Tuesday.
The news of Austin's treatment and condition came after a tortious week during which Austin was hospitalized, but the Pentagon refused to say why. Austin underwent the initial prostate cancer surgery on Dec. 25, during which he was under general anesthesia, according to doctors from Walter Reed.
On Jan. 1, Austin experienced complications from the surgery including nausea and severe abdominal, hip and leg pain, which was later identified as a urinary tract infection. On Jan. 2, he was

A federal appeals panel expressed deep skepticism Tuesday toward Donald Trump’s argument that he can’t be prosecuted for trying to overturn the 2020 election, raising the potentially extreme implications of absolute presidential immunity.
Trump’s lawyers argued that his federal election subversion indictment should be dismissed because he is immune from prosecution. But the three judges on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit panel questioned whether this immunity theory championed by Trump’s lawyers would allow presidents to sell pardons or even assassinate political opponents.
Special counsel Jack Smith’s team argued that a president is not above the law, warning that allowing presidential immunity from prosecution

A push by the Biden administration to make dishwashers and washing machines more efficient was shot down by a judge as "arbitrary and capricious," after 11 Republican-run states brought legal action over the rule changes.
In a ruling on Monday, U.S. Appeals Court Judge Andrew Oldham said that it was unclear whether the Department of Energy (DOE) had the statutory authority to regulate water use in such appliances, and that the new rules it had proposed might not lead to less water use.//snip//"There is no fourth branch of government sanctioned in the United States Constitution," Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, among those to bring the review, wrote following the court ruling.

In an escalation of earlier reporting that showed multiple "journalists" working for the Associated Press and The New York Times participating in the October 7th attack on Israel, live-stream footage has now been uncovered that illustrates even more direct coordination with Hamas terrorists. As RedState originally reported, Hassan Eslaiah, who was freelancing for CNN, Reuters, and the AP, filmed himself riding into Israel on October 7th carrying a grenade. Another "journalist" was also implicated, though the Times defended his work despite evidence he had advance knowledge of the attack.
The claim from the Times was that these "journalists" had simply been caught up in quickly unfolding events

China’s state-run propaganda newspaper Global Times declared President Joe Biden “inadequate” and his administration “disorderly” on Monday over the secret hospitalization of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin – a criticism levied nearly five months after the still-unexplained disappearance of now-former Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu.
Austin was reportedly hospitalized on January 1 over what the Pentagon described as “complications” from an undisclosed “elective medical procedure.” The Pentagon chief reportedly did not tell President Biden – who was on vacation through January 2 – that he had been hospitalized. Austin reportedly also failed to inform National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan or his Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks, who was

WASHINGTON — Police and fire trucks showed up Sunday night at the house of Tanya Chutkan, the federal judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s election interference case after she appeared to be the target of an attempted "swatting" attack. Police confirmed to NBC News that they responded to false reports of a shooting at a house that a witness identified as Chutkan's home. A law enforcement official also confirmed that it was Chutkan’s home and that she was home when police arrived at her residence. A police report obtained by NBC News said that officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call just after 10 p.m. ET
