The plagiarism controversy surrounding Harvard’s president is the most recent episode in which elite academia appears to be playing directly into the hands of ex-President Donald Trump’s populist Republicans.
First, the presidents of three top universities equivocated in a congressional hearing about the seemingly obvious question of whether calling for genocide against Jews infringed their universities’ codes of conduct Now, Harvard leader Claudine Gay is embroiled in a controversy over plagiarism that is posing the question of whether the academic standards that are applied to students also cover those at the top of the ivory tower.

America used to be in a race to the top now we are in a race to the bottom, dropping standards willy nilly in order to claim diversity.

Plagiarism is bad. Jew hatred is worse. But it's not the real reason they are in trouble. Indoctrinating the brightest young minds with anti-Americanism, poisoning them with ideas hostile to millennia old mainstream civilizational values, further lacing it with an atmosphere of intolerance and hatred..these are the real unforgivable sins.

In any organization, the top people should be setting the example. Military units can not function unless the leader is strong, brave and willing to face enemy fire with the rest of the troops. That's why our military is failing today and that's why our universities are falling apart due to poor leadership and rot from within. The US Government is the most serious example of this deterioration since the democrats put Biden in a position for which he is not capable.

I have to ask why they are having this problem.
The answer they created the problem themselves and too many liberals who are alleged to be intelligent stood by and watched or cooperated in them doing it.

College presidents should be role models. CNN is just clueless.

The plagiarism is bad enough but the episode exposes the fraud that is the process.
This is a very good review: "The Real Claudine Gay Scandal"

Harvard knew.
Harvard had to know, and they "Socially Promoted" her.
Because, democrat insurrection.
They're different, they're special, old stupid rules
that have protected society for generations don't apply.
All of the institutions you are suppose to be able to rely on
are rotten to the core.
That's the revelation.

The leaders of liberal thought used to be role models - when liberalism and a classical education meant listening to and understanding history, philosophy, dialog, and the value of Judeo-Christian western civilization. Now liberalism is exactly the opposite with identity politics and one-sided hubris and its leadership rigorously imposes a reality of rules 'for thee but not for me'. Harvard might actually have to start spending some of its many billions. Because they have torched their vaunted reputation.

I have a dream...
I dream of a world, where people of all races, man or woman, may sit at the table of learning for the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
I have a dream... Where the vast infection of partisan academia has passed into the dustbin of history, and places like Harvard, Yale, MIT, and other sit like ghost towns, crumbling monuments for rejected ideology. Places even vermin would shun. I have a dream...

Here's why she got hired: the most important job of our 'Elite' universities is to take the best and brightest of our young generation---and the DEI enrollees---and fit them with the slave-collars of indoctrination and resentment. She's a pro at that!

Those elite universities have huge endowment and get tons of money from the federales so they don't care. Their mission is to destroy any sense of honor and decency in this country to establish some evil empire in the future.
