President Joe Biden smirked and refused to answer questions from reporters on Wednesday when pressed about his son, Hunter Biden, defying a congressional subpoena.
Biden’s remarks came after Hunter Biden skipped a closed-door deposition with congressional investigators, likely paving the way to contempt of Congress proceedings that House Republicans have been threatening if he did not comply with the subpoena.

Police arrested 75 people for blocking Interstate 110 in Los Angeles on Wednesday as part of a pro-Palestinian protest demanding a “ceasefire” in Gaza — one that would leave the Hamas terror group in power, with over 100 civilian hostages taken from Israel.

Joe Biden gave some brief remarks on Wednesday. You knew that reporters were going to be asking him about his son defying a congressional subpoena and the impeachment inquiry that's starting against him. Biden didn't sound well. He seems to be having more of this coughing and more slurring of late. (X Video) But after just a couple of minutes of remarks, Biden tossed the press out and refused to answer questions about the impeachment or his son blowing off the subpoena.

For at least half a century, the Left has been luring this nation into a deadly dance. Like the sirens of Greek myth, their music hits all the right notes: true equality, fairness, justice for all, health, peace, etc. Because the music is so beautiful, and the steps to the dance so familiar, again and again, we’ve accepted their invitation and blindly followed their lead.
This simple political dance can be done to many types of “music,” for it has only three steps. We have seen its familiar choreography in efforts against racism and crime, in steps to preserve our national security, in efforts to support agriculture and education, etc.;

WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump’s election interference case in Washington will be put on hold while the former president further pursues his claims that he is immune from prosecution, a judge ruled Wednesday.
The decision from U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan raises the likelihood that Trump’s trial on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election, currently scheduled for March 4, will be postponed as the appeal of a legally untested argument winds through the courts.
The issue is of paramount significance to both sides given that a court ruling in Trump’s favor would presumably derail the case and because a protracted appeal could result in a significant postponement of the proceedings,

Kirby said Biden was merely expressing concern about civilian casualties in Gaza. He also reiterated Biden's support for a two-state solution after Netanyahu indicated he planned to keep Israeli troops in Gaza long after the fighting ended.

Chutkan agreed Wednesday to pause pre-trial deadlines and further proceedings pending the appeals court’s decision. “[T]he court agrees with both parties that Defendant’s appeal automatically stays any further proceedings that would move this case towards trial or impose additional burdens of litigation on Defendant,” Chutkan wrote Wednesday.

And two, Jack Smith, the special counsel appointed by the Biden Justice Department to prosecute Trump, is taking self-described "extraordinary" measures in a rush to put Trump on trial before the 2024 presidential election. The two things are not unrelated. And nothing could more effectively illustrate the contrast between Trump's rising political fortunes and the administration's effort to imprison him before the election.

Political polarization in politics is a feature of our political system today, but it wasn’t always this way. Conservatives began to dominate the GOP in 1964, and in 1968 the historic Democratic establishment began to be discredited and undermined. These gradual forces came to a head in 1972. The culminating clash has been the source of a half-century of competition and conflict.
Before 1964, there was a broad centrism with liberal and conservative wings. Moderate Republicans and conservative Democrats could find a lot of common ground. Liberal Republicanism was gradually weakening, and the conservative Democrats of the South were steadily losing ground and legitimacy.

One of the critical questions emerging among the Western commentariat regarding the Israel-Gaza war is what to do with the Hamas terrorists captured by the IDF. Should these be detained as POWs and treated tolerantly, as specified by the Geneva Conventions of 1949? A second question on which the answer to the first depends entails the professional nature and capacity of the captives, that is, are they indeed “soldiers “as understood by the term — members of a nation’s armed services that conduct military operations? Are they members of a resistance “army” who continue to abide by the rules of war, treating captives humanely,

Then he says, "There is not enough money in any country in the world to actually solve this problem."Kerry has little understanding of money or how it's created. He's a multimillionaire because he married a rich woman. Now he wants to take more of your money to pretend to affect climate change.

There’s apparently no end to how far the mainstream operatives will go in their quest to destroy the virtues of the West, and a USA Today article published last week is a prime example.
The man behind the piece, Daniel de Visé, essentially implies that anyone not born into tremendous wealth doesn’t have a chance at success, and those who are rich only got that way by mere circumstance and birthright, overtly implying that capitalism has caused this problem and that, we must work

With the passing of Rosalynn Carter, former President Jimmy Carter lost his lifetime partner, and my deepest sympathies go out to him and his family. The former first lady’s death, however, reminded me of something relevant to election integrity that many Americans may not realize: Organized voter fraud in Jimmy Carter’s first run for office stole his election.
The only reason Carter ended up in office when he did is because he claimed publicly that he had won and went to court to fight to overturn the election. Apparently, that’s considered a criminal act in Georgia today and can get you charged with violating the state’s racketeering law.

The new Argentinian president is a radical, a far-right outsider and a right-wing reactionary, if the press is to be believed. But he’s not at all the demon that the mental-case media claims he is. Javier Milei is the type of elected official – note that we didn’t say “politician” – that this country needs. In fact, every nation on the planet could use a Javier Milei.
“No country declined as rapidly or as severely as Argentina,” Investopedia said a year ago in a post explaining the country’s relationship with socialism. “In 1989 the average inflation rate in Argentina approached 5,000%, and in March 1990 it peaked at over 20,000%.”

Kamala Harris has been heckled during a holiday speech at her home by a Democratic lawmaker demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.
The Vice President was accosted by Delaware representative Madinah Wilson-Anton who unrolled a banner that read 'ceasefire' during the event on Monday.
Harris was speaking at her and second gentleman Doug Emhoff's residence at the US Naval Observatory in Washington, DC, where they had been hosting festivities for officials when she was interrupted. 'Madam Vice President, I am a rep from Delaware. Did you know in Bethlehem they are not celebrating Christmas?

Democrats are at a crossroads when it comes to Joe Biden. If he's going to pull out for 2024, one would think it has to be soon. If he doesn't, his numbers right now are awful against former President Donald Trump, the leading candidate for the Republican nomination. Trump's winning in five of the six swing states, with his lead increasing since July. Even CNN had to admit he was up in Michigan and Georgia by some significant numbers. You know the Democrats and the Biden team have to be tearing their hair out behind the scenes that Trump might win. So, it looks like the talking points

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with defense contractors during his visit to Washington, DC, this week, amid a bid for $61 billion in U.S. taxpayer support for Ukraine, according to a video he posted on social media. I met with leaders of US defense companies and expressed my gratitude to every American worker who manufactures weapons that help us safeguard our people and defend our land.
I appreciated all American companies that attended last week’s US-Ukraine defense industry conference.

Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight” that she believes Democrats are fighting for freedoms that Republicans are taking away with book bans.
The former speaker claimed books in school that have been classics “are now burned.”
Wagner said, “Some of the priorities for these Republican lawmakers in a vacuum. The most egregious things really stand out. Among them their war on reproductive freedom and the most recent comments from their informal head, their front runner, Donald Trump, who wants to replace Obamacare.”
Pelosi said, “Yes, imagine that. When he was president he said repeal and replace. He had no replacement, he just wanted to repeal

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò delivered an address to the “Is the Pope Catholic?” conference this past weekend forcefully stating that Jorge Maria Bergoglio is a “false prophet” who fits the description of the one spoken of by the prophet Daniel during the time of the “final persecution” of the Church, to whom no Catholic owes “any” obedience or collaboration but rather steadfast resistance.[Snip]“We know that John Podesta was working on behalf of Hillary Clinton and Obama--and the globalist elite in general--to promote a ‘colored revolution’ within the Church that was supposed to oust Benedict XVI from the papacy, elect an ultra-progressive pope,

Hamas leaders who had lived in luxurious exile in Qatar have left for unknown destinations as of Tuesday and have switched off their phones, according to the Israeli Kan channel’s Arabic news service, Makan.
According to Makan (via Google translate), a “number” of Hamas leaders have left Qatar “for an unknown destination,” though they are presumed to be going to Lebanon, Iran, or Algeria.
The Jerusalem Post added: “Additionally, on Tuesday, KAN news reported that Saleh al-Arouri, a senior member of Hamas, left his usual residence in Beirut for Turkey.”
Other countries that have given refuge to Hamas in the past include Syria, though that is probably too close

Harvard was once a reputable institution. Now, though, it’s a joke, and, moving forward, any parent who pays for it or young person who goes into debt for it has inadvertently taken an IQ test and proved to be only in the double digits. The latest example of Harvard’s fall, not just from grace but from decency, is the fact that two days after its president, Claudine Gay, insisted that its devotion to free speech was so absolute that even genocidal rhetoric deserved its day, Harvard canceled a Democrat congressman who had spoken slightingly of Gay’s remarks.
I’m sure you’re familiar by now with what Gay said.

This is the most astonishing thing.
Harvard PRESIDENT Claudine Gay is going to keep her schweet, schweet gig.
Gobsmacking.
She held on in the face of that ghastly, arrogant, heartless, anti-Semitic performance before Congress with the other “Poison Ivies.” The one where Ms Gay repeatedly refused to answer whether calling for the genocide of Jews violated Harvard’s policies.
…Everything from the rot of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and the new racial segregation on campus to academia’s rigid, intolerant ideological partisanship, and its funding by nefarious foreign entities, was laid bare for the nation to see.

Senate Democrats are calling on conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from ruling on former President Trump’s claim that he is immune from prosecution for alleged crimes he committed while in office. Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and other Democrats on the panel argue that Thomas faces a conflict of interest because his wife Ginni was outspoken in support of Trump’s false claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. “There are so many unanswered questions about the relationship of the justice and his family with the Trump administration that I think in the interests of justice,

Scientists have developed the world's first mind-reading AI that translates brainwaves into readable text.
It works using a sensor-covered helmet that looks at specific electrical activity in the brain as the wearer thinks, and turns these into words.
The revolutionary tech was pioneered by a team at the University of Technology Sydney, who say it could revolutionize care for patients who have become mute due to a stroke or paralysis. A demonstration video shows a human subject thinking about a sentence shown on a screen, which then switched to what the AI model decoded - and the results are nearly a perfect match.
