How is that electric vehicle promotion going? Well, the car dealers can't sell them. They sent President Biden a letter calling for a change in strategy, as my old marketing professor used to say. This is the story:
"Nearly 4,000 U.S. car dealers are asking President Biden to tap the brakes on proposed emissions regulations designed to ensure that two-thirds of new passenger cars are all-electric by 2032."
So what's going on? The simple answer is that they can't sell electric vehicles no matter how much the Biden administration wants you to buy one or how many commercials they run during the football games. They can't move them,

He is too much of a fool who lacks one iota of common sense to listen to anybody, ans he has to appease the left and the greenies. Until he is out of office, the people and the auto industry that voted for him will just have to suffer, too bad the rest of us will suffer too. FJB MAGA

It's hard for me to forget the company webcast where our President of American operations mouthed the line, in heavy Indian accent (nothing wrong with that) - "EVs have won the technology war..."
He was let go a couple years ago.

And Chicago wants to bury charging cables under the street so EV's can charge as they drive!
Electricity is free, don'tcha know!!! Comes from the sun!

Again - - I have a very simple solution.
Just turn the entire country into a golf course - - and then those electric thingies will serve a real purpose.
Why is it so easy for me to think of these solutions - - when none of the globalists can?

This is actually what FJB and the insane want. They do not want you owning a car any car. They do not want you having the ability to move freely, go where you want when you want. They want you to stay put. So they will outlaw fossil fuel cars. The cars available to buy will be out of reach for 90% of the American public. Walk, run, bike, skateboard, horse, roller skates or use their PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. That is what this is about. Forcing you to have no choices but government run transportation. Stuff you into high rise city buildings where you can be easily watched, controlled and herded. You are easier to control when you are all in one convenient place. Control your transportation options, your food, take away your guns, government approved education, medical care. Do what they say or you will be denied. Leave the city, why? Everything they say you will need is right there, within 15 minutes in any direction. Bug protein, soy burgers, assorted veggies and filtered toilet water. Maybe an apple now and then. They will convince you that you really don't need or want personal transportation.

It is time to arrest people that refuse to buy EVs, follow the COVID model, its not about us, is about saving the planet.

The reasons no one will buy them were evident before they ever hit the market:
1. they cost too much.
2. their refueling is much too inconvenient.
Of course, they are also net carbon generators, energy-inefficient, recycling nightmares, unsafe, prone to exploding, too range-restricted, too environmentally damaging, etc etc etc.
If only the govt would step aside, the miracle that is the free market could have saved us all a trillion dollars.
And Elon Musk would only be a multi-millionaire.

I bought a new car about a year ago. Its a great big heavy SUV. Before I had the first tank of gas through it the manufacturer was sending me questionnaires asking why I didnt want an electric. The way the questions were worded sounded like they were pushing them, rather than asking about them. The answer they didnt have a block for was that I dont want one because the communists want me to have one.

#5 is close to the truth. The EV push has NOTHING to do with Climate Change, clean air or anything of the sort. It is simply an instrument of state policy to eliminate personal mobility for all except the favored few. Going back to the pre-industrial age where the lords of the manor had horses and coaches. The peasantry just walked. Once you absorb that all the seeming absurdities begin to fall into place. Watch for three things coming down the line -1. Sky high gasoline prices. 2. Not so hidden transfer of EV costs to IC car owners. 3. Non availability of traditional gasoline cars.

I would buy an Edsel, a Corvair and a Pinto before I would drive one of those Lithium incendiary bombs off the lot. Unfortunately for Joe, his 2030 mandates will be canceled shortly by the next real president and my two Toyotas will outlast all of them.

What do people in the developing countries with minimal resources, poor roads and limited financial assets buy? Motorbikes and scooters. They are clean, efficient, inexpensive, small and get up to 80 mpg. Who is going to make them buy a $60K Technowizzer that can self-destruct at any time and can't get wet?

How do people who live where it snows keep their undercarriage from catching fire since cities pour "snow melt," all over the streets?

Hey Joey, what about all the high pollution of building EV's and recycling the dead batteries...the ones that didn't catch fire and pollute the air!

Doesn't help that they have made EV's an elitist status symbol. The only customers are those who are able to 'afford' a $7500 tax credit. If they really wanted to flood the streets and roads the government should be subsidizing them so they are essentially 'free' or inexpensive to the masses. If that happened suddenly no one with any wealth would be seen driving them.

I read that electric vehicles have 80% more problems than gas vehicles. Other reports say the mileage on a charge is overstated, and no statements are made on how much mileage ranges are reduced by aging batteries, or the resale value of such vehicles. Insurance companies are charging 25% or more for insuring them. Then, they cost $10K or more than a gas vehicle. If you live in an apartment, you have to set aside several hours of your day to sit at a public charging station somewhere. The country gets messages often from electric grid operators to reduce electricity consumption, or there will be rolling blackouts. Rolling blackouts? In my area that means they will turn the electricity off for a week. There is no rolling to it.
