As the Israel-Hamas War resumed after the ceasefire was broken when Hama fired into Israel, a top Hamas official "promised" in an interview with Lebanese media that the terrorist organization would "soon" launch a "war of liberation" against the Jewish State — larger than the horrific Oct. 7 massacre.
In the interview, transcribed by MEMRI (The Middle East Media Research Institute), senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan was asked: "If you could go back in time to October 6, would you still do what you did on October 7?"
His response was immediate and direct:
Why do some people assume that we would go back on our acts of resistance?

One person died and two others were injured after a man attacked tourists in central Paris near the Eiffel Tower, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said on Saturday.
Police quickly arrested the 26-year-old man, a French national, using a Taser stun gun, Darmanin told reporters. The suspect had been sentenced to four years in prison in 2016 for planning another attack and was on the French security services’ watch list, and was also known for having psychiatric disorders, the interior minister added. The attack took place around 1900 GMT when the man attacked a tourist couple with a knife

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Saturday that the US would “remain Israel’s closest friend in the world”.
Speaking at the Reagan National Defense Forum in California, Austin said that six days after the Hamas attack on October 7, “I flew to Israel to underscore our solidarity and our resolve—and to make it crystal-clear that America’s commitment to Israel’s security is ironclad.”
“And so we have rushed US security assistance to Israel to help it defend its people and its territory—and to help ensure that Hamas can never again commit the atrocities that we saw on October 7th,” he added.

Amazon has banned the sale of the 'FlipperZero' gadget, a handheld device designed to hack into digital frequencies such as radio waves and TV signals.
First released in the summer of 2020, the tool took off this year as it fueled a TikTok prank wave.
The online retail giant decided to ban the product after it became clear its hacking abilities are also able to clone credit card information, breaking the company's rules on card-skimming.
And in a disturbing look at how easily public digital waves are intercepted, social media has become flooded with pranksters switching off restaurant screens, opening card-locked doors and meddling with vehicles.

Muslim community leaders from several swing states pledged to withdraw support for U.S. President Joe Biden on Saturday at a conference in suburban Detroit, citing his refusal to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Democrats in Michigan have warned the White House that Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war could cost him enough support within the Arab American community to sway the outcome of the 2024 presidential election. Leaders from Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania gathered behind a lectern that read "Abandon Biden, ceasefire now" in Dearborn, Michigan - the city with the largest concentration of Arab Americans in the United States.

This is draconian.
The EU is now finding more ways to take away your freedoms. They want to take away ownership of your old car and scrap it! Yes, you read that correctly.
The EU has something called End-of-life vehicles directive, and they are looking to expand this to become so draconian that it reminds of something that would have happened in the Communist Soviet Union.
A new set of criteria will be established that will decide whether you will be allowed to keep your car. If your car does not meet the criteria, the EU will seize your car and scrap it.

It has become all too common in the media, especially every time another United Nations climate conference like COP28 takes place, to blame every problem on climate change. The media and their go-to climate pundits reach far and wide to connect whatever tragic event is trending in the news to the modest warming of the past hundred or so years, and they do it no matter how tenuous the connection.
Some claims immediately stand out as ridiculous to even the casual observer, like the claim that the oceans are boiling, which is so stupid only someone who has blind trust in favored authorities bordering on pathological would believe it.

It feeds into everything that’s been reported about Israel’s Arab neighbors and why they don’t want Palestinian refugees roaming wild in their country: they bring trouble. The late King Hussein had to declare war on them and successfully drove them out. The problem is the Palestinian Liberation Organization set up shop in Lebanon, where they caused problems for the government while also attacking Israel from the southern part of the country. Israel had to invade in 1982 and remained in Southern Lebanon until 2000. Egypt has closed its border with the Gaza Strip in Rafah due to terrorism concerns.

The governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, has ten days to schedule a special election for the seat, and according to reports, that special election is expected to take place in February.
Well, that was apparently news to Hochul, who responded to Santos’s expulsion on Friday by posting on X/Twitter, “I am prepared to undertake the solemn responsibility of filling the vacancy in New York’s 3rd District. The people of Long Island deserve nothing less.”

In New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, the Supreme Court upheld the Second Amendment right to carry guns for self-defense outside of the home. But California is looking to circumvent that right by imposing dubious restrictions on where citizens can carry guns.
Other states have tried this route and each has been struck down by various courts. But that didn't stop Governor Gavin Newsom and Democrats in the state legislature from trying.
S.B. 2, signed into law by Newsom in September and effective January 1, 2024, recognizes the right of individuals to carry firearms for self-protection. But it limits the discretion of licensing authorities to a ludicrous degree.

Many Democrats, pointedly its ‘progressive’ left wing, enjoy thinking of themselves as ‘people-person’ trailblazers.
This collective and persistent fiction chiefly works because their ‘novel’ efforts cancel out quietly or die in silence, as failures. The brilliant, new ‘initiative’ du jour becomes unworkable—either upon execution or, worse, is frankly untenable for America--eventually. The progressive voice is the loudest and most constant while the majority are barely heard. This progressive public bullying is a problem now owned, if not altogether liked, by the Democrat party; it is rooted in the stupidities of our failed education.

The New York Times has developed a well-deserved reputation for gaslighting its readers by scorning narratives that don’t fit its increasingly left bent. Once considered the foremost news organization in the country and possibly the world, it has descended into a woke blog whose stories more often seem to emanate from a fledgling college student rather than from actual expert reporters.
To wit, I received the following newsletter in my email recently: “We’re covering claims of a shoplifting boom… Viral exaggerations.”

The recent decision by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to impose a $700,000 fine on Covenant Transport Inc., a Christian trucking company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, raises significant concerns about the overreach of federal power and the disregard for the realities faced by businesses in regulating their workforce.

The image of a grief-stricken mother adds a dimension to the story of the Crucifixion that is often overlooked. Within hours of the tweet being posted, White House officials attempted to clarify that the tweet was not a "change in policy." From Jewish Insider:
"For several hours on Tuesday night, a tweet from President Joe Biden’s campaign account put observers of the Israel-Hamas war on high alert. The three sentences came from a speech

The IDF has announced that Hamas violated the terms of the current ceasefire and that it has resumed combat operations against Hamas in Gaza (below). The Times of Israel has posted a long story on the resumption of combat this morning here. (X) Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Israel and met with its war cabinet yesterday. He continues to caution Israel on the law of war, as though the IDF is some kind of a scofflaw. He made it clear that the Biden administration is unhappy with Israel and seeks to impose constraints on the operation of the IDF in Gaza. The Times of Israel covers Blinken’s visit here.

It’s unfortunate that the destruction of our military isn’t a bigger story and it’s also a shame that so few Republicans and conservatives have backed Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s principled stand to block Biden’s radical military nominees.
Senate Republicans are seeking to bypass his insistence that Biden’s nominees pass proper confirmation with appropriate scrutiny instead of being shoved through.
And that may mean the end of the military as an American institution committed to defending the nation. Instead, it will become another DEI operation.
As this letter from Save America’s Military warns, “independently conducted research

How is that electric vehicle promotion going? Well, the car dealers can't sell them. They sent President Biden a letter calling for a change in strategy, as my old marketing professor used to say. This is the story:
"Nearly 4,000 U.S. car dealers are asking President Biden to tap the brakes on proposed emissions regulations designed to ensure that two-thirds of new passenger cars are all-electric by 2032."
So what's going on? The simple answer is that they can't sell electric vehicles no matter how much the Biden administration wants you to buy one or how many commercials they run during the football games. They can't move them,

The world's rich and famous, plus an army of publicists, hangers-on and, mendicants, are attending the COP28 meeting in Dubai, the ostentatious 7-star playground capital of the United Arab Emirates, where even the police drive luxury sports cars.
We peasant classes sitting at home note that climate royalty, including King Charles from the U.K., John Kerry from USA, and Blackouts Bowen from Australia, are all flying there, burning vast amounts of carbon fuels. Fittingly, these hypocrites chose to meet in the richest and most wasteful artificial city in the world, wallowing in wealth derived from oil, gas, and air travel tourists.
The UAE has already been accused of using

Holy smokes – Gov Gavin Newsom’s excuse if he flamed out in last night’s debate was built right into the packaging he insisted on.
So how’d last night verbal rumble go for the oleaginous, smooth talking, Randall Flagg-lite from the Golden Boy state?
What I saw of his performance was neither pretty nor impressive, and a quick trip around the innerwebs this morning – including our own Karen’s terrific wrap-up here – seems to confirm my initial take. Twitter was replete with DeSantis high-fives and highlights, and some of this morning’s headlines have been fun, too.
USA Today thought DeSantis had the edge…

Ever since October 7, people have been struggling to understand how Israel--a nation that’s been on the front lines since its creation (whether in the Bronze Age or 1948), that has a famed intelligence service, and that’s supposed to be bristling like a porcupine against all comers--could have been so vulnerable. Theories have ranged from sexism to a global conspiracy of the elites to Netanyahu being betrayed by leftists within his government to complacency. It turns out that the last two theories probably hit the mark.[Snip]The video is short (about 35 minutes),

One of the questions that has been asked since the 10/7 attack was how Hamas caught Israel so unprepared to respond. Within days of the attack there were reports that Hamas had been planning and training for it for more than a year. CNN reported there were half a dozen training camps set up to drill Hamas fighters in preparation for the attack. So how did Israel miss it?
According to a story published today by the NY Times, Israel didn’t miss it. In fact, they had Hamas’ detailed attack plan a year ago. They just didn’t believe Hamas could pull it off and so didn’t prepare to respond to it.

After embarrassing Gavin Newsom during Thursday night's landmark debate, Ron DeSantis got right back to winning on policy on Friday.
In a big blow to Democrat electoral hopes, an appeals court has reversed a prior ruling finding that the governor's congressional map, which changed Florida's District 5 from a 200-mile-long racial gerrymander to something that makes sense proportionally. Democrats sued, claiming that the more consolidated district violated legal provisions on minority representation. The First District Court of Appeals in Florida has officially disagreed, upholding the originally-passed map. While this decision could end up in front of the Supreme Court, it's highly unlikely,

I’m routinely asked why non-conservative/non-orthodox American Jews are so committed to the Democrat party despite mounting evidence for years now that the Democrat party is the party of American antisemitism. I could talk about 19th-century Jews becoming socialists because the socialists opposed the antisemitic Russian Tsar or 20th-century American Jews finding the Democrat party more welcoming than the Republican. But here’s the real reason why American Jews are leftists: It’s their obsession with academic credentials, especially from the fanatically leftwing Ivies. That, however, may finally change.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, American Jews saw that a college degree

A Five Guys customer's video complaining about the extremely high prices of the items at the fast-food chain has resurfaced on multiple social media platforms.
Michelle Newell posted the clip to TikTok explaining that she and her husband had paid $42 for two cheeseburgers, a side of fries and two milkshakes.
The visibly upset patron told viewers that the couple had visited a Five Guys location on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Newell shared her anger last year - but a check by DailyMail.com Friday evening confirmed it remains just as expensive to buy the same meal.

The stories told by hostages who have been released by Hamas are heartbreaking. This is just the beginning.
The scope of the abuse won’t fully be known until sometime in the future. Many hostages are not talking much out of fear for those who continue to be held by the evil ones. Others are too traumatized to tell their stories. Their lives will never be the same. The worst for me are the stories of the children, the youngest victims of Hamas.
Children were branded in case they escaped, according to Yaniv Yaakov, the uncle of the brothers Or, 16, and Yagil, 12, who were freed on Nov. 27.
“Every child that
