At last, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives successfully elected the 56th Speaker of the House on Wednesday afternoon following multiple rounds of unsuccessful ballots and withdrawn nominations, selecting Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana to lead the lower chamber.
The final roll-call vote saw Johnson land 220 votes while Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) received 209. Needing only a simple majority, Johnson easily secured his victory as previous opposition to House Republicans' speaker-designees vanished entirely on the first ballot of Johnson's bid.

Thank goodness! There is a good interview on Steve Bannon's War Room podcast where he reveals the behind the scenes machination to scuttle Johnson....all orchestrated by no other than Kevin McCarthy

Yay! Smiles all around here. Now, let’s get moving. And you got to know the dems are not happy. They loved the chaos. That makes me
smile even more.

Like Nutty, Nasty Nancy said (sort of)...."You have to vote for the speaker before you know what's in him."
We'll see what we got in the next few months. A prize or another RINO backstabber. I have no real idea. The only tidbit that sounded good in my VERY limited look was a member of the Prayer Caucus. Might be good, might just be a faker.
We'll find out. Hope he's good.

So now all is right in the world in the eyes of the MSM because we can get back to spending money we don't have.

I don’t think he’s a faker, but with a 74% Liberty Score I do expect occasional disappointments.
His personal friend, Amy Coney Barrett, hasn’t been perfect in her judgments despite her religious faith and reputation as a Conservative, imo.

Congratulations to Gaetz, assuming this was his plan. And assuming that Johnson is better than McCarthy; I am not tuned in enough to have an opinion. Trump supported McCarthy and he supports Johnson, so that metric is not a differentiator.
The catastrophe hoped for by the Dims has been averted, somehow.

Two days ago I had never heard of this man, but today I saw a clip from a Tucker show a few years ago, in which he said Nancy P. was guilty of a felony for tearing up the SotU speech. He can't be all bad. Then I heard his speech - and I think it was a great speech. It sounds like he's a bold, Christian leader who is not afraid to speak his faith, nor act his faith. May God bless his speakership and America.

A win for the good guys! It's way too soon to call this a turning point in history, but it's the best chance we've had in a long, long time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I am sure the dims and rinos will do all they can to thwart this man.

I believe mr. Johnson will be a fine speaker, will I agree with him 100%, probably not, but then again there is nobody at 100%.

I guess someone explained to the idiots voting no that Biden was going to jamb the failure to provide funds to support Israel so far up their ***** that they could expect a Democrat wave come the next election.

We're saved! All of a sudden, every Republican was on the same page when previously could not agree on anything. Hmmm.
