Tucker Carlson's legal team has responded to Fox News' cease-and-desist letter after the former host started posting video commentary on current events on his Twitter account, which has garnered millions of views. (Snip) "Fox News continues to ignore the interests of its viewers, not to mention its shareholder obligations," attorney Harmeet Dhillon told Axios. Dhillon, who has stopped appearing on Fox News, is completely right. This is indeed "the most catastrophic programming decision," and now they're shooting themselves in the other foot. In a way this will force development of alternative media, though. The conservative audience isn't going to zone out listening to historical romances on tape. FOX News looks likely to shrivel its way to insignificance. Who knows, maybe Alex Soros will buy it for a roll of nickels and put it out of its misery.

sad Harmeet isn't running RNC as she not only understands the cancer we face, but fights it actively in many forms in court. she's realistic, smart as a whip, experienced and a passionate patriot. i think we know her better in California where she has taken on pro-life, election integrity, freedom of speech issues many times pro bono. she is our future.

Fox is just compounding their problems by doing this. Didn't Carlson become a free man once FOX fired him? Or is he still employed and just off air? Kind of like a hostage of FOX Mews? Either way, posting on Twitter is open to all so he should be able to post all he wants (unless his hostage contract says he can't).

Tucker should demand Fox stop broadcasting at the 8pm slot -- should be dead air until the contract is up.

The Biden administration is gearing up to investigate the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, which was the 16th-largest bank in the United States before it went under after a run on the bank last week. The Justice Department is in the early stages of investigating SVB's failure, Fox News has confirmed. The news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, which said the Securities and Exchange Commission is also investigating. These inquiries may or may not lead to charges or allegations of wrongdoing and are typical of the government's response after a big company reports massive, unexpected losses. CORRECTION*

America’s All Volunteer Force turns 50 this year. Since 1973, the U.S. military has, with rare exceptions, met its annual recruitment goals and improved the quality of the force. Now, however, it is mired in its worst recruiting stretch in history. Last year, the Army missed its recruiting goal by 25% and already predicts it will miss again in 2023. Ditto the Air Force and Navy. Officials cite numerous reasons for the shortfall: low unemployment, a smaller pool of young people qualified to serve, declining public confidence in the military and more. Whatever the reasons, these recruiting failures portend trouble for military readiness.

It’s not unprecedented in America. St. Louis, Cleveland, Buffalo — all were once thriving cities. All have since lost at least half their population, and those who remain have failed to regenerate the vibrancy, the energy of the early to mid-20th century. But what’s truly shocking about the demise of San Francisco has been the speed at which the city has fallen

According to an Open the Books report released last month, the IRS has spent more than $35 million since 2006 on firearms, ammunition, and tactical gear for its glorified and federally empowered accountant force, with some $10 million of that taxpayer-funded armament coming since just 2020.
