Did Hamas just jump the shark?

Just as the latest invasion began in Israel, swarms of the usual suspects began protesting in front of Israeli consulates in various American cities. Some of the anti-Israeli demonstrators were themselves Jewish… being committed leftists first and Jews second. They were of particular interest to the mainstream news media. Then news of horrific atrocities being carried out by the Hamas militants began to surface.
Shooting up a harmless music festival is way too much for even woke progressives -- let alone flaunting the naked bodies of freshly murdered women. As I write, the revulsion on the Left is still lurking below the radar.

How can anyone possibly trivialize what Hamas did by asking if they “jumped the shark?” For shame, Mr Ross, for shame!

Way more to this. Let's assume Iran planned this to escalate into a multi nation war, so big that Israel can't survive.

Nah, doesn't bother the Haaaavard crowd.
In fact calling this "jumping the shark" is insulting to the guy who first "jumped the shark" -- The Fonz on Happy Days!

Unless Netanyahu caves to demands by the majority muslim UN and the leftist idiots in the US Government, Hamas will be wiped out like the infestation that they are, hopefully taking Hezbollah and the trouble-making capability of Iran with them. Normally it's a good thing to patch things up and make peace once the hotheads have cooled down but Israel has made that mistake with those savages one too many times. No Arab nation in the Middle East will take responsibility for the Palestinians. That says a lot. Who wants to to support a bunch of worthless trouble-making whiners?

Not really, Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah and the Muzzies all around the world have made a HUGE mistake.
Wait for it, Iran will cease to exist if they directly attack Israel!

I noticed how quickly the Palestine flags were all over the place with pre-printed signs against Israel. That alone should tell us something about the idiots in the USA.

Re #1, yes, my first thought was "What a ridiculous phase to use in this situation"
Perhaps some don't know that the comedy TV show Happy Days was slowly running out of stories and dying, as all shows eventually do, and Fonzie went water skiiing....and literally (on the show) jumped a shark. This was taken as proof that the writers had totally run out of steam, and the show was over.
Comparing a TV comedy to what Hamas is doing - is a serious error in judgement by the author.
Use a better analogy. Perhaps "a bridge too far" (but that was a heroic attempt, and this is not).
Or maybe is this Hamas' Trafalgar.....but then that would require an audience who knew some history, and that's not a good bet in a country that hasn't taught any meaningful world history in schools in three or four decades.
Relying on TV comedy as a "historic analog" is a pretty sad thing.

FTA: Children freely played in public, women were often uncovered, tension was minimal. Then came the collapse of the Shah and the religious police began to show up.
What happened that time, President Carter?

Re #9. More detail The Shah was dying of cancer, and the ayatollah Kohmeni, the original evil Islamic dictator had been living in France for a number of year (thanks, France) and they let him travel back to Iran, and his evil followers were able to overthrow the weakened government of the Shah. And the USA did nothing at all to help stop this first and most virulent of the current wave of Islamic terrorists.
And they grabbed a bunch of American hostages and Jimmah the Bozo set up a rescue attempt that was staffed by braver than brave men, but we didn't have the equipment or training to make it work in 1980.
Delta Force had just been stood up, but they had no helicopters with the required range.
They borrowed the only helos in US inventory with the range and aerial refueling capability required, USMC special helos for minesweeping. Unfortunately, nobody asked anyone with any experience with these how this would work. A family member, a former senior NATO commander, then recently retired, with experience in USN with these minesweeper helos told me "those things were ALWAYS breaking down, very serious reliability problems with a rare model of helo. I'd have sent twice as many as I thought I needed, they are that unreliable." They didn't send enough.
And the helos broke, and then things went downhill from there, the mission was a failure before it even contacted the enemy.
This led to far, far better equipment and training for Delta and for the SEALs for these kind of extremely difficult hostage rescues.
And now Delta and SEAL DevGru going into Gaza to save Israelis. Best wishes to our best and bravest.
