Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) used a Monday post on X to call for a buyback of AR-15s and firearms that Democrats refer to as “assault weapons.”
He also wants a ban in place to keep future AR-15s from being manufactured or sold.
Swalwell posted: (X) The attacker that struck the Jacksonville Dollar General on Saturday was armed with a Glock handgun and an AR-15-style rifle. Therefore, banning the rifle would not have prevented the attack from occurring.

Many demonstrators outside the former St. John Villa Academy in Arrochar have claimed they are not anti-immigrant, just concerned about the potential for crime and angry at city officials for shipping migrants into their neighborhood with little warning.
“The government has to stop doing this to our communities in secret and stop lying about it when they’re confronted,” said Scott Herkert, 53, who has lived next to the school for 22 years and was among about a dozen demonstrators outside it Sunday.

The illegitimate Deep State's war against Donald Trump and MAGA-supporting Americans has taken on a stench of defeat similar to that of the Gallipoli campaign during the First World War. In that botched attempt to take control of the Ottoman straits and seize Constantinople, the Entente powers suffered roughly 300,000 casualties over a year of desperate fighting just to make it off the beach. It is rightly considered a colossal failure of military planning and execution and a symbol of deadly Establishment hubris. The Battle of Gallipoli began in 1915.

Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans with Mother Nature’s fury in late August 2005, causing over 1800 fatalities and over $100 billion in property damage. Because a Republican president resided in the White House, the corporate media and Democrats took the opportunity to pounce on the disaster response.
From “Heck of a job Brownie” to President George W Bush’s famous flyover in Air Force One high above New Orleans, the cost of human suffering was far less important to the media than the opportunity to stick it to President Bush.

Try a story in The Guardian, where greenie leftists parade their grievances about Joe Biden's bureaucratic obstacles keeping them from getting their hands on all that greenie cash in Joe Biden's Inflation Reduction Act: When President Joe Biden passed the Inflation Reduction Act a year ago, Adrien Salazar was skeptical.
The landmark climate bill includes $60bn for environmental justice investments – money he had fought for, as policy director for the leading US climate advocacy coalition Grassroots Global Justice Alliance (GGJA).

China’s economy has struggled recently as once-eager foreign companies depart and trade partners rethink their close ties with the increasingly dictatorial nation. As Beijing tightens control over its people and the economy, Americans have noticed. China has plunged to its second-lowest favorability level among U.S. voters, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
TIPP started tracking China’s favorability in March 2021. To compute the index, we use survey responses to the question: “Generally speaking, is your opinion of China: Very Favorable, Somewhat Favorable, Not Very Favorable, or Not At All Favorable?”

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Freedom-loving Americans have had a rough go of it since the first arrival of the Wuhan Chinese Bat Flu on our shores. The Trump/Fauci alliance made things bad enough, but the tyrannical flex got really bad when Joe Biden was installed in the presidency. As we have seen in recent weeks, the COVID fetish Left is attempting to relive its glory days of oppression.
With the stink of the pandemic government heavies still lingering so strongly, the Climate Cult thugs have been hoping to keep their campaign of error and terror continuing unabated without anyone noticing.

The Trump 2024 presidential campaign confirmed to Fox News on Saturday that they have pulled in nearly $20 million in fundraising over the last three weeks, which coincides with the federal indictment in Washington, D.C. and mugshot from Atlanta seen around the world.
Former President Trump’s camp said of the almost $20 million, $7.1 million was collected after his mugshot was taken in Atlanta on Thursday evening.
Trump’s team said they raked in $4.18 million on Friday, which was the highest grossing day of the entire campaign.

New reports shed light on nearly $1 billion in land purchases by a mysterious company near a California Air Force base that raised national security concerns. Since 2018, a group called “Flannery Associates” invested more than $800 million on almost 54,000 acres of agriculture-zoned land surrounding the Travis Air Force base in Solano County, California, public records show. [snip] Now, reports from The New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle reveal Flannery is comprised of a group of ultra-wealthy Silicon Valley investors acquiring vast parcels of land northeast of San Francisco with the mission to build a new California city “from scratch.”

Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters slammed the political Left’s anti-gun narrative over the weekend in response to a racially motivated shooting that killed three people at a Dollar General store that has been deemed as racially motivated.
The assailant, a white male in his early 20s, left behind manifestos that made it clear that he was specifically targeting black people. “The story is always about guns — people are bad — this guy’s a bad guy,” Waters said. “If I could take my gun off right now, and I lay it on this counter, nothing will happen. It’ll sit there — but as soon as wicked person grabs ahold of

In a bit of a twist, Joe Biden's handlers are getting nervous about Gavin Newsom's debate with Ron DeSantis in November.
According to four different sources, the president's political advisers now believe that Newsom debating DeSantis carries more risk than reward, and when you read between the lines, there's one glaring reason they don't want to see the clash take place.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is increasingly being viewed as a nuisance to some of President Joe Biden’s political advisers, according to four people familiar with the matter. Though Biden's camp no longer sees the California governor as a wannabe challenger to the president

I told you back in March that Governor Randall Flagg-lite – Gavin Newsom of California – had done an abrupt u-turn regarding the shuttering of the state’s last nuclear plant at Diablo Canyon.
In a volte-face worthy of a twinkle-toed Baryshnikov, Newsom went from climate cultist hero to dirty dog overnight when he realized – for once – not cutting the state’s energy throat was more important than not cutting his own. He said the plant, slated to close in 2025, should remain open until at least 2030. He also helped facilitate the panicked rush to get a Nuclear Regulatory Commission extension approved.

When the government sets about to marry its limitless appetite for social control with the seemingly limitless computing power of artificial intelligence, the end result is destined to be Orwell’s “thoughtcrime” – a concept that was once exclusively in the domain of speculative fiction — becoming reality. Life imitates art, it seems.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has reportedly been partnering with an AI tech firm called Fivecast to deploy social media surveillance software that, according to its proprietor, purportedly detects “problematic” emotions of social media users and subsequently reports them to law enforcement for further action.

Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Sunday on MSNBC’s “Inside” that supporting former President Donald Trump was “effectively handing” the presidency to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Anchor Jen Psaki said, “You have not been afraid to speak out about Donald Trump’s indictments about his actions in attempting to overturn the upcoming election and about holding on to classified documents. I could name more. It took 51 minutes in that debate for any of those topics to come up. What did you make of that?”
Sununu said, “I thought that was perfect because that’s about Donald Trump, that’s not about the future of this country.”
He continued, “Republicans are trying to save the country,

Former President Trump’s decision to duck the first GOP presidential debate may have been tactically sound, but if he tries to sit on his lead in the polls until January, he may regret it. This is certainly true in Iowa, where voters expect a lot of attention from the candidates, and don’t consider Twitter interviews or intermittent rallies as acceptable substitutes. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has a well-developed retail campaign operation in Iowa that includes personal visits to each of the state’s 99 counties. Moreover, a recent survey conducted by widely respected pollster J. Ann Selzer reveals that the Trump-DeSantis race may well be closer than it seems.
