LA’s smash-and-grab epidemic: Voters

Smash-and-grab robberies are happening in broad daylight at stores throughout California and no one seems to be doing anything to stop them. Two weeks back, a Nordstrom store in the west San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles was attacked by a flash mob of 30 to 50 masked thieves. (Snip) Voters had an opportunity in November 2020 to approve an initiative that would have reformed Propositions 47 and 57 by reclassifying specific crimes to allow tougher penalties. This was Proposition 20. The initiative would have helped undo so much of its predecessors’ damage, but it went down in defeat, 62% to 38%.

Bless their hearts, California’s voters are hampered by an education system that doesn’t teach Civics and responsibility, or how to think critically. When those 2 things happen, you are easily duped or tricked. FTA (photo caption): “Vice President Kamala Harris wrote favorable ballot descriptions for both Prop 47 and Prop 57, which have contributed to California’s current lawlessness.“

Think of this: the animals raiding these stores are voters too. Kinda makes me think suffrage ought not necessarily be universal. None of these pukes has a job none of these beasts pay taxes. Most of them are probably solid citizens of the criminal class. Yet they can vote to defund the police.

That's why citizens with morals have to believe, have to work for, honest elections that matter. So that corrupt governments cannot continue to elect themselves to do the most harm to the nation to further the globalist WEF agenda.

Even in my small town in Kentucky some things are being locked up. The local Walmart has all the razors and shaving supplies and the condoms locked up. A friend who is in retail at a grocery told me the amount of shoplifting is through the roof.

#7 is correct …our local Walmart has the razors and blades locked up. The checkout clerk told me sell them at flea markets. I am in a small city in North Georgia. Not really a surprise. Our country has been in a severe moral decline for decades.

The campaign to pass Proposition 47 was so slick that I considered voting for it. One focus was that smoking a joint wouldn’t result in jail time. One had to dig quite deep to find out the massive flaws. The voter initiative process in California is subject to special interest interference. In the late 90’s we voters ended affirmative action and bi-lingual education. In 2022 the voters rejected a proposition to re-impose affirmative action. The voters in 2008 voted to enshrine man/woman marriage in the state constitution. We are not all Democrat idiots.

They don't prosecute serious crimes either so it doesn't matter how they classify the smash 'n grabs. I know a few products made by Winchester and Remington that would fix the problem in a few days. Second best would be the Muslim practice of hand amputation, which would limit each dirtbag's number of thefts to two.

Cop cars and barricades surrounded a controversial Staten Island Catholic school-turned-migrant-shelter Sunday — as police said they are bracing for a rally Monday that could bring more than 2,000 protesters. Many demonstrators outside the former St. John Villa Academy in Arrochar have claimed they are not anti-immigrant, just concerned about the potential for crime and angry at city officials for shipping migrants into their neighborhood with little warning. “The government has to stop doing this to our communities in secret and stop lying about it when they’re confronted,” said Scott Herkert, 53, who has lived next to the school for 22 years and was among about a dozen demonstrators outside it Sunday.

Fed up with having Chicago police officers “babysit” asylum-seekers, Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara on Thursday proposed an alternative to district stations: allowing hundreds of migrants to sleep in the lobbies and open hallways at City Hall. “I don’t think there’s one single one of ’em living in City Hall — whether it’s on the county lobby floor or the City Hall floor. There’s certainly plenty of space to put a couple hundred in there, but I don’t see that happening in their workspace. But they certainly have no problem putting ’em in our workspace,” Catanzara said. “Why be a hypocrite?”

Rome—Pope Francis has blasted the “backwardness” of some conservatives in the U.S. Catholic Church, saying they have replaced faith with ideology and that a correct understanding of Catholic doctrine allows for change over time. Francis’ comments were an acknowledgment of the divisions in the U.S. Catholic Church, which has been split between progressives and conservatives who long found support in the doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI, particularly on issues of abortion and same-sex marriage. Many conservatives have blasted Francis’ emphasis instead on social justice issues such as the environment and the poor, while also branding as heretical his opening to letting divorced and civilly remarried
