The Great China-American Abyss

Imagine if the United States treated China in the same way it does us. What if American companies simply ignored Chinese copyrights and patents and stole Chinese ideas, inventions, and intellectual property as they pleased and with impunity? What if the American government targeted Chinese industries by dumping competing American export products below the cost of production -- to bankrupt Chinese competitors and corner their markets? What would the communist Chinese government do if a substantial American spy balloon lazily traversed continental China -- sending back to the United States photographic surveillance of Chinese military bases and installations?

China steals from the US, undermines our financial institutions, acts belligerently to us, and harasses our military because they can, and Biden rolls over for whatever Xi and the CCP want. Big difference than when Trump was President, and used tariffs and trade restrictions to keep the bastids somewhat honest

I work at not buying anything made in China, and it is getting easier. I needed a new framing square, the old one is at our cabin, and found Empire brand, made in USA and a bargain price, high quality tool. Don't ever buy anything made in China.

The root of the problem, FTA: “ Or are our political, cultural, and corporate elites so compromised by their lucrative Chinese investments and joint ventures that they prioritize profits over their own country's national security and self-interest?” Biden is guilty and, no doubt, many if not most of our political class and corporate elites are likewise compromised. This behavior is putting us all at risk and when China decides it is time for us to pay the piper, it will be the working class that will be forced to do the dirty work of defending the country. The high and mighty who have caused this will never be tasked with the country’s defense even though they were the ones that precipitated the inevitable war that will ensue. The ones who can will flee to safety because they have no loyalty to the country they sold out to our enemy. Americans need to wake up, this betrayal by our betters will cost us more than it ever will them.

The great sellout began with Bush I, the first sorta ambassador to China. We know how devoted Rockefeller Bush Ivy League republicanism is to putting country ahead of power and prestige. And here we are.

Funny someone should mention buy made in the USA. I am in need of an electric razor and have owned Remingtons for 50 years because they were American. Not anymore and the last Remington was a piece of junk (but cheap). After searching I have found there are none made in the USA--hard to believe. Think I will go with Wahl, they were once American.

I bought something a few days ago and on reading the instructions I found it was "Made in Taiwan". I would have preferred "Made in USA", but until we can find more domestic goods, then when given the choice buy "Made in Taiwan", "Made in India", "Made in Japan", etc. I am a VietNam vet and I even prefer "Made in VietNam" to the "Made in China" goods, especially since China produced most of the ordnance used by communists in that war.

We can't steal Chinese innovation because there is none. But we can invoke the "treason and bribery" provisions in the impeachment clause.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the devastating wildfires across Maui are a classic toxic combination of liberalism, corruption and inexperience all rolled into one. The people of Maul begged for life-saving water from the West Maui stream to be used to fight the fires only to be brushed off. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported Wednesday there was an official request made to divert the water and it was ignored for several hours by Deputy Director M. Kaleo Manuel of the Hawaii Commission on Water Resource Management Hawaii Commission on Water Resource Management (CWRM).

In a recent interview with Fox News host Neil Cavuto, former Attorney General Bill Barr opened up about the idea of home detention for former President Donald Trump, should he be convicted of criminal conspiracy or classified documents crimes. The Gateway Pundit previously reported Bill Barr trashed President Trump on Thursday during an interview with Fox News host Neil Cavuto. Barr said Trump’s conduct related to the classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago is “egregious.” “I think the federal cases are legitimate. At the end of the day, at the core of this thing, he engaged in the case of the documents and outrageous behavior where anyone would be prosecuted.

Poor Fani. Her moment of glory will be a short one. Lawyers tell us that Fani’s case against President Trump is likely to be moved to a federal court -- because it is directed at federal officials and because the accusations are very similar to those made by Jack Smith in the January 6th indictments. In the end, however, Fani may be happy to let the feds conduct the trial because some of the 161 “Acts of Racketeering” (ACTs) in the indictment involve dangerous criminals doing dangerous things. For example, here is ACT 6 (in its entirety):

“They came with a search warrant," softly spoke Samuel B. Fisher, a mild-mannered cattle farmer operating a 100-acre farm tucked away in Virginia's heartland. Fisher's bread-and-butter, Golden Valley Farms, carves out the scenic countryside that's a hop, skip, and a jump away from historic Farmville, a postcard-perfect small Southern town with classical Main Street charm. The father of five had graciously invited us down to his idyllic pasture to rehash the whirlwind of unforeseen events that unfolded over the cruel summer. It was a tumultuous time on the Fisher farm, an upheaval that threatened to upend the man's livelihood.

Over the summer, media commentators on both the left and right have been discussing Joe Biden's political future. They all largely agree on one thing: Biden is not a viable presidential candidate in 2024. They cite Biden's immense unpopularity due to his disastrous record as president in every field, from the economy to the border to the war in Ukraine. Some cite Biden's physical and mental frailty and the corruption investigations in the House as reasons Biden won't be a 2024 candidate. Others are skeptical that Biden will even finish his current term.

Four cardinal rules of politics: 1) don’t change your opponent’s soiled diapers; 2) scandals possess short half-lives; 3) don’t strike before having the votes; 4) play your best cards last. Political change occurs glacially. Those lacking necessary patience stymie those who comprehend politics’ rules. Conservatives braying for Biden’s head have no idea how to effectuate political objectives. This same mindset -- wisely opposed by Chief Justice Rehnquist -- demanded Bill Clinton be impeached. What did that accomplish? How did the nation benefit in terms of lasting impacts on economics, foreign affairs, or legislative action? (Bush 43 would have subsequently been elected anyway, for other reasons.)

Ever since the end of June, Americans in the media have been chattering about the implications of the Supreme Court ruling in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard. This case, in which several Asian-American students sued the university for racial discrimination, ended with the court ruling for the plaintiffs and banning race-based preferences in college admissions. Already people have had time to argue every question under the sun — is what happened good or bad? More important than most people think, or less important? How aggressively will lower courts enforce it? And so forth.

A new report from Military.com has revealed that Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma is refusing to reveal the cause of death for 17 base personnel who have passed away this year. How does one base have a death toll of 17 in the span of eight months? Why would the base not want to share information concerning what happened to these individuals and why so many people at one military installation have died? Since the base is funded with American tax dollars and the people dying are public servants, I think the general public has a right to know what is going on at Tinker Air Force Base, don’t you?
