Steve Milloy, long-time editor and founder of JunkScience.com, announced an explosive exposé this month in an extended article. Government and private scientists in radiation safety have been attempting to cover up a pattern of misconduct and hijack the Health Physics Society, a professional organization of radiation safety experts and officials, to take down the society's series of twenty-two videos featuring Dr. Ed Calabrese, which exposes a longtime scam in radiation safety matters.
The issue is Linear No Threshold Toxicology — LNT for short, also called the "one hit" theory of toxic radiation genetic mutation. These bad actors have also conspired to censor and silence Calabrese

Those conservatives rightly outraged at the Trump indictment keep comparing his treatment to that given to Hillary, Biden, and Pence, each of whom admitted to violating national security laws. That’s the wrong argument because Trump is not similarly situated to those lawbreakers. Instead, because he was president when he took possession of the documents, Trump cannot be guilty of the crimes with which he’s charged.
It starts with the Constitution, which created three equal branches of government: The legislative branch (Art. I), the executive (presidential) branch (Art. II), and the judiciary (Art. III). As part of his authority as the nation’s chief executive

Recently much has been said and written about gas stoves causing childhood asthma, justifying politicians moving to ban residential gas stoves. We reviewed the epidemiology studies used to support the ban in a recently published study. We demonstrated that the studies were unreliable and there is no basis for the claims made. This essay sums up our findings.
NO2 and asthma

Allergens are the basic issue in asthma. Allergens are carbon-based and are mostly protein substances. For example, pollen and plant parts; biological fragments shed from furry animals, rodents, cockroaches, dust mites; and fungal detritus can cause allergenic asthma reactions.

Following the news of a dramatic rescue of four children lost in the Amazon jungle, Colombia's far-left president, Gustavo Petro, praised the children who survived in that fearsome wilderness for 40 days as "children of the jungle."
"The jungle saved them" Petro said. "They are children of the jungle, and now they are also children of Colombia.
"Children of the jungle"?
That's like calling children who survived a nuclear meltdown "children of the reactor" or kids who survived under earthquake rubble "children of the temblor." Does anyone call champion surfer Bethany Hamilton, who was injured in a shark attack as a young girl a "child of the shark"?

The experts at the Tax Foundation fret that the current debate about extending the debt ceiling has lost track of the fact that Social Security is a major contributor to our growing deficit and debt crisis.
They may be right about the fiscal ADHD on Capitol Hill, however, let’s make sure we are keeping track of the right discussion. It is true that both the growing deficit and long-term stability of Social Security are valid concerns that should draw the attention of Americans. These issues deserve the attention of all voters -- just not in the same sentence.

Target’s stock has lost a whopping $13.8 billion over the past two weeks, hitting its lowest levels in nearly three years as the “cheap chic” discount retailer continues to face backlash over LGBTQ-friendly kids clothing.
Shares of the embattled chain sank 2.2% at $130.93 on Wednesday after dropping for eight straight sessions — the stock’s longest losing streak since November 2018 — giving the company a market capitalization of $60.4 billion.
That’s off 19% from two weeks earlier on May 18, when the stock was trading at $160.96 on the eve of the crisis.

A man wearing the vest of the new “Peacekeeper” corps deployed over the Memorial Day weekend to stem the mayhem on a holiday weekend that has become an opportunity for murder tallies to soar, was arrested for a violent attack. [snip]
A man in a neon “peacekeepers” vest beat up and robbed a man in Little Village on Friday night, police said, as dozens of violence prevention workers fanned out across Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend.
Oscar Montes, 31, was in a group of seven or eight people that pulled a man from a car and punched and kicked him

When candidates run for public office — local, state, or federal — they campaign on some careful blend of their résumés, their personalities, and their political issues.
Thus it has always been, and thus it will always be, in a republic. "Vote for me because I have the experience to do it well," or "Vote for me because I'm so much like you, I'll represent your interests," or "Vote for me because we agree on these twenty or thirty specific issues."
[snip] it's become blatant only for the past decade or so, and that's the growth of a regulatory state

“Earth’s Holocaust” is a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804-1864) that delivers enough déjà vu to make one say loudly “what else is new”? This is not another “I told you so” tale but a deep look into the heart of human life. [snip]
Russell Kirk’s The Conservative Mind contains a synopsis of “Earth’s Holocaust” that beats anything I may offer here, but I thought it would be a good idea to “dust off” this revealing story and summarize it

Something is happening right now that is scaring the Obama out of the fascist far left. Their power has always been an illusion, perpetuated by pop culture and the national socialist media, but now that is being shown to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Normal people in the pro-freedom majority are figuring that out. And now that it's being shown to be a cultural chimera, the anti-liberty authoritarianism of the fascist far left is finished. That is what truly scares leftists about the Bud Light and Target situations.
[snip] But this time it's different. The resistance is widespread, persistent, and intensifying.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has humiliated herself, apparently in the false belief that truckers care what she thinks. She took to Twitter to call for a trucker boycott of shipments to Florida because of what she terms “anti-immigrant” policies of Governor Ron DeSantis, deliberately conflating legal with illegal immigration, the target of DeSantis’s recent bill.
Anti-immigrant policies reap what they sow. DeSantis’ Florida is about to find that out. The US has such deep needs right now, particularly in labor. Yet policymakers (of ALL stripes) take our immigrant communities for granted. No más. Time to stop biting the hands that feed.

Amazing what happens when the police are demonized and nobody wants to be a cop.
In Los Angeles County, they've got a real doozy of a problem -- gangs turning up on the police side of the glass, inside the department itself.
According to the Los Angeles Times:
Less than a week after the county watchdog ordered dozens of deputies to show their gang tattoos and answer questions about violent cliques within the department, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna on Thursday sent a department-wide email commanding his staff to comply with the inspector general’s request.
Comments:
Statistical look at the fraudulent "studies" on gas stoves, showing that there is no causal relationship between gas stoves and asthma.
Two PhDs and an MD wrote this....and not one of them calls themselves "Dr." ....unlike the pathetic First Bag Lady.
