Senate Republican leaders, including Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), are staying quiet about former President Trump’s indictment on 37 criminal charges, letting him twist in the wind and breaking with House Republican leaders who have rushed to Trump’s defense. McConnell, who is careful not to comment on Trump or even repeat his name in public, has said to his GOP colleagues that he wants his party to turn the page on the former president, whom he sees as a flawed general election candidate and a drag on Senate Republican candidates.

Then there's Senator John Barrasso, another RINO fetch dog for Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell. The Hall of Fame RINO Trio - Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt "Pierre Delecto" Romney - bark the same tune.

They should be retired by voters at the earliest opportunity. This LDotter, a Floridian who really hates PDJT's attacks on our excellent governor, went 100% for PDJT when these evil banana republic charges were brought. The accusers are infinitely worse than the accused. If the GOP Senate leaders don't "get it," they must be replaced, too. They've joined with the enemy. No recovery from that.

What a shock that gutless wonders who subsist off the nasty swamp would not defend Trump.

Senate Republicans are a drag on themselves. Take 90% out of the Senate and replace them with democommunists and it would act pretty much the same.

The same ones just continue to prove themselves weak and more Democrat than Republican. Barasso is my senator and he is as weak as the rest. He failed to support Trump in challenging the 2020 cheating and gave me a mealy mouthed response when I questioned him. I didn't vote for him the last time and won't ever again. Unfortunately, he has a following here and no challengers. Now with the weak, woke Loomis as our second senator, the state of Wy only has one good conservative representative in Congress, Harriet Hageman.

I would like to see Cornyn gone. Every time he is primaried, his opponent is indicted and jailed, so it has been difficult getting rid of him.

McConnell is a rotten traitor, and will do ANYTHING he can to stop Trump from coming back to clean up the massive corruption and criminality that is all of DC, especially the Senate and the permanent bureaucracies.
These people are horrified that some honest person may come in and not only "wreck all their plans" for stealing billions more, but possibly even put their criminal butts into prison.
So, the are willing to do ANYTHING at all to protect their criminal money flows and to stay out of prison.

None of these people care about the rule of law, Justice, the country in general or the Republican Party.
They only care about how much their back pocket is being lined and going to the cool kid DNC cocktail parties in DC.

While some are more conservative than others, we need to realize we simply need Republicans elected to have any sort of Majority in either the House or Senate.
The Senators may want to read the indictment filing where it's cleverly stating "classified markings" but never mentions classified documents. Linguistic twist to make someone believe it's something other than what is actually is, and has fooled enough media and politicians.
Trump should be pointing this out more so they can't continue spreading false information.

What do you expect. As there are a lot of wimpy RINO Republican Senators who are proud members of the DC UniParty swamp, and to them Trump is a “outsider” who wormed his way into the Republican Party and does not play by the DC political insider system corrupt rules and should get lost. Clearly the Democrats would not allow any of the Senators in the Democrat conference to abandon, or come out as being disloyal to another Democrat politician in such situations.

Major split in GOP. Dems are unified. The outcry from Manchin, Tester and Sinema and occasional grumbles from other democrats are fake. These “courageous” democrats grandstand with insincerity on run-up to reelection. Once their election is secured they tow the dem party line. Democrats stick together like a ball of snakes.

Many are "post turtles" who owe their handlers for their lofty position. Others have "skeletons in the closets" and are thereby controlled.
Like the bidet they are merely puppets - although perhaps not as enthusiastic and delighted to be used as slo jo and his ho.

If there is a more obnoxious, sanctimonious pussy out there than Mitt Romney, he's staying way under the radar.
His most noteworthy accomplishment was getting his ass kicked by Candy Crowley in that 2012 debate. No easy feat.

Surprised,no.
But I do see the same post from the same posters telling us "we must vote more "Rs" in or lose our majority.
What majority is that, the one McConnell et al control and act the same as the "Ds"?
Time has come to stop playing the same losing game over and over.
Vote the candidate and not the party.
What,no candidates, then get off your behind and run for office yourself!

I despise the lying, backstabbing GOP so-called "leaders" even more than I do the Democrats. The Democrats TELL US they intend to destroy America, while the GOPe RINOS PRETEND to support Americans but do not.

Look at the miserable state of the country. The uniparty wants it that way. Everything is corrupt, and the politicians are just cashing in on the decline.
Their offspring will live to see the utter collapse.

The Turtle, no surprise here. Texas scum, Cornyn, another who would
fail to surprise. The 'Leaders' tend to stick together and most find their
pockets stuffed, freely leaving DJT out in the cold; the ONLY man in
authority who actually cares about US.

They are cowards. The Dems know who and WHAT they are.
We need term limits. There's so much money associated with these seats, then they must make their masters happy. They are also the colluders, and they are always on the losing end --at least for us conservatives/constitutionalists.
Think "the end of the Roman Republic." The great Roman senate and the once invincible Roman Legions, led by the once great Senators, gone. Greed, decadence, venality, depravity and loss of Patriotic love of country which only exacerbated all of the vices. They had become dependent on the slaves and conquered --"conquered"-- barbarian tribes who produced the goods and services, all inferior to those of the height of the Roman Empire, and threatened from within by those whom they entertained with the butchery in the coliseums. And no matter how much they sold out, they were devoured by the now wretched hulking regime.

One of the biggest problems with the senate is a 6 year term….wayyyy toooo long. They run as Conservatives then switch to libs after election & stay in the senate for life terms. Remember Mitch & Graham were losing , they called Trump in to campaign & unfortunately both won again! They both thanked Trump by constantly trashing him!

McConnell showing his true Colors as a Deep State Political Hack and Valuable Asset of the CCP, thanks to his wife who is, and always was, a Chinese loyalist. One must remember and consider that McConnell received $25,000,000. as a wedding present form Chinese assets.
