Just as Hollywood seems stuck on the notion of releasing new versions of once-popular films using new actors, the corrupt Department of Justice seems to be using the same tattered playbook once again in the preposterous and ill-considered indictment of President Trump. Only if you saw the originals, you know the plot tricks this time.
I refer you to the Lewis “Scooter” Libby and Senator Ted Stevens cases I’ve written about here. (snip) Here are some of the common features: Count Stacking -- that is, separating a single matter into multiple counts for the purpose of poisoning the public, sensationalizing the case

Yeah, and in the case of recent Hollywood sequels, this one is a flop too.

And the "enlightened" who get their news from 60 Minutes and NPR will lap it up without question.

Clarice's viewpoint here is extremely enlightening. Online, I read the same Wall St. Journal editorial she quotes. I was surprised how many fools commented that the Journal Editorial Board was off-base to be taking Trump's side in this matter. I'm pleased Clarice is back from her vacation or illness, or whatever has kept her from writing for two weeks.

Although I may comment on this heavy information later today, I just echo Larry Gatlin's song, ''I don't wanna cry this early, this morning.''

It seems to me "same plot, different actors" applies to government generally speaking. Just to be clear I am talking about all political party bases. Once campaigns are won and they are well on their way to DC, most forget who they are serving. It is no longer about the voter but now about politics and how they are going to vote on a given subject matter that will bring about greed, power, or both (usually involves corruption). We the people MUST fund the greed, power and corruption.
I find all of it tiresome and it is about time that the American citizens expect more than the substandard efforts government is handing out. I can't necessarily say it is just government either. Businesses, churches, agencies etc. all suffer too. We all seem to look the other way when it comes to mediocrity. . .

p.s. I am clarifying the statement "We the people MUST fund the greed, power and corruption" - it is what government expects of us. . .

Let's clarify - only certain Republicans are held accountable. They're either nice guys who are disposable like Libby or they have worn out their welcome Stevens.
And somewhat off topic but listened to my regular Monday Joe DiGenova appearance on the WMAL.com Larry O'Connor show and the topic was the Trump Indictment. And I must say - what is it with Republicans like Joe who claim to be an ally and/or friend of Donald Trump who starts off by saying Trump has done a lot of dumb things post-presidency.... (I Paraphrase) and then starts to point out all that is wrong this indictment of a former President and political opponent to current pResident. And of course, the host Larry never asks: Joe - can you describe the dumb things the President has done? And what does that have to do with anything?
You never hear any Dems say anything remotely critical of Hillary and Bill Clinton, Obama, etc.

#10, since you asked the question, I won't mind answering. Yes, I get it that Democrats are very unified in their response to matters but when there is no substance in their actions and it benefits only them, it is easy to be unified.
So now to answer your question about the dumb things Donald Trump did during his presidency. He, being a person who lived most of his life as a liberal, thought he could work both sides of the aisle. As soon as they started doing the recounts in the 2016 election, he should have smartened up and done something about the elections. He continued to believe that he could bring both sides together for the good of the country and continued to underestimate their motives. Some of the preventative things he could have done, he did nothing. Organizing the J6 rally and drawing attention to the unfair 2020 election is not preventative measures anymore.
There is one more thing that should have been done. He knew that they were scrutinizing every move he made and he should have made very, very certain that anything he was doing was always above board. He should have had the strictest standards with his actions. Well, if you are trying to work both sides of the aisle, paying attention to your own actions may not be at the top of the list.
So, that is my answer. . .

If there is still anyone here who remains blinded by so-called mean tweets and personality issues, take a little time to read, or reread, the unambiguous - crystal clear, & easily understandable - information laid out in this piece.
This is why WTP must stand with Trump. If he loses this battle, it means that WTP have lost because we did not do our part in this battle to save our Constitutional Republic. He has told us many times that WTP are the ones ‘They’ are after, & he only stands in the way.
Providence has made clear , through PDJT, the severity of our situation. It is truly time for every good man (and woman) to come to the aid of our country. Trump is the only one who has been provided & tested that can and will lead us out of this successfully, by the grace of God.. We are at a ‘choose you this day’ moment. If we don’t stand as strong for Trump as he is standing for US, we have only ourselves to blame for the loss.
Send this article to your Senators & Representatives. Tell them to stand with Trump for this country. Share it with all of your contacts. Let your voice be heard. It matters. Remaining silent & doing nothing is not an option. Trump is only a leader. WTP are the soldiers needed in this crucial battle. May God bless & have mercy on US.

Guess I should have added “mistakes” and forced errors to the mean tweets & personality issues in #13. But, thought the full force of the U.S. government against Trump was evident. WTP have had our own share in mistakes & errors that have brought US to this point. Who would have thought, before Trump learned it & exposed it, that the corruption was so deep & widespread & included some of the people that were exposed? That condition has grown exponentially since Trump left office.
It’s interesting that some seem to think we got here because of Trump’s “mistakes”, considering the fact that he was only there for four years! Most of us have learned a lot since then.
The far greater mistake is to join with those people who are on a mission to destroy Trump & this country, take loads of money from them, & act as though you would have the power, as POTUS, to keep any promises to the American people that would save the sovereignty of this nation for the purposes it was founded. A worse mistake is for WTP to make the mistake of believing it.

Inflicting as much damage as they can to our President Trump has always been their plan...it started with strock and page having their insurance policy to keep President Trump out of the White House in 2016...but there seems to be a problem with their drive this time....America woke up...pardon the pun...and isn't as gullible as they had hoped...even my democrat friend is angry at the rat's measure this time...and he voted for biden last time and will never vote for him again...well..he says he won't...we'll see...

Felixcat #10 I thought the same thing about Joe DiGenova. I heard him and his wife on a program talking about President Trump's indictment and I thought it was a demonrat talking. I immediately changed to a different program. What happened to Joe and Victoria? Did Donald diss them in some way? Anyway, with friends like that, who needs enemies.
Speaking of the persecution of DJT. This morning at our house, we put on our prayer warrior hats and prayed fervently against the corruption in D.C. We used Psalm 64 as our blueprint for prayer. It is prophetic for this time we are in.
v.2 says, hide me from the secret counsel and conspiracy of the ungodly from the scheming of the evildoers (sound familiar?)
v.3 who whet their tongues like a sword who aim venomous words like arrows (like media, like Left/Commies)
v4 who shoot from ambush at the blameless man, suddenly, do they shoot at him without self reproach or fear (that's Trump)
v5 they encourage themselves in an evil purpose, they talk of laying snares secretly, they say who will discover us (Trump indictment)
v6 they think out acts of injustice and say, we have accomplished a well devised thing...
Here's where our God comes in:
v.7 But God will shoot an unexpected arrow at them and suddenly they shall be wounded and v.8 and made to stumble
and their own tongues turning against them....
Here's our job: We are to pray this psalm 64 into existence. This is what we are doing. This is a spiritual war and it is fought in the heavens. The Washington D.C. area is controlled in the heavens by an evil Prince of the Power of the Air. Fight in prayer against these evil forces.

Psalm 64 is a wonderful blueprint for prayer under the current circumstances!
I used it in fervent prayer, with many tears, for Judge Clarence Thomas in his hearing. I know it was only one of many prayers across this nation, because God answered, and gave US the desires of our hearts - Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
I have now been joining in fervent daily prayers across this country for good to prevail over evil for Donald Trump, and within America. May WTP turn to God, & humbly seek His face. May He have mercy on US & hear from heaven & heal our land. May we be able to celebrate “Joy in the morning “ (Psalm 30) for America again, as we, and Justice Thomas’ family did back then.
