NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell is departing the company following an investigation into misconduct, which involved an “inappropriate relationship.” Comcast and Shell jointly announced the news Sunday in a statement that noted the two “have mutually agreed” on the decision. Shell will depart effective immediately. The decision follows a company-led investigation conducted by outside counsel “into a complaint of inappropriate conduct.” “Today is my last day as CEO of NBCUniversal. I had an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company, which I deeply regret,” Shell said in his own statement. “I’m truly sorry I let my Comcast and NBCUniversal colleagues down, they are the most talented people in the business

Well Shell, at least the sex must have been good. So much for your, ahem, short game. Sounds like your soon-to-be ex-wife had a problem with this, no?

Inappropriate...following a complaint? Investigated by Outside Counsel? Notice he/they do not use the term "Consensual", was this a rape/rape...or coercion? If it were mere office romance, mutual...it might be a divorce case, if it resulted in some promotion(or lack of such) it might be an HR Case, but to trigger a Regicide? Hardly. The Clinton Cabal.."It was just a little sex" is waaaaaaay too strong, particularly at NBC, where it seems most of the Clinton's campaign and administration staff has nested to force that outcome.

Yes - - it's possible to consider rape to be "inappropriate" - - just ask Master B. Clinton about that.

Jeff, you dumb b-tard. You should have denied everything until a blue dress appeared. Even then you could have said that is was just about sex and kept your job. Didn't you read the Clinton Playbook Rules for Dummies?

Georgia’s Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is urging local law enforcement to prepare for possible indictments this summer in her 2020 election inquiry focused on former President Donald Trump and his allies. In a letter dated Monday to Fulton Sheriff Patrick Labat, the prosecutor said she will be “announcing charging decisions” resulting from her investigation during the Fulton County Superior Court’s fourth term of court, which spans July 11 and September 1. Willis spoke of the need for “heightened security and preparedness” as “open-sourced “intelligence indicated an announcement “may provoke a significant public reaction.”

The Biden administration is quietly preparing for the possibility that if Ukraine’s spring counteroffensive falls short of expectations, critics at home and allies abroad will argue that America has come up short, too. Ukraine’s ever-imminent counteroffensive will attempt to retake Russian-seized territory most likely in the east and south, though for operational reasons no senior officials from Kyiv have detailed specifics. Publicly, President Joe Biden’s team has offered unwavering support for Ukraine, pledging to load it up with weapons and economic aid for “as long as it takes.” But, if the impending fighting season yields limited gains, administration officials have expressed privately they fear being faced with a two-headed monster

Everybody is up in arms about Tucker Carlson’s and Fox News’ split. Lots of rumors regarding why it happened are floating around, and as with all breaking news stories you should wait for a bit before you trust anything anybody says. “Inside sources” or outright speculations are unreliable. Was it Dominion? Was it Tucker wanting to defend himself? Was it something else? I don’t know and only a small circle of people so far do. And even they will probably have diverging views. What interests me is how Tucker is a very different kind of media voice and one who can’t easily fit at any cable news station.

"I am stunned," Lemon wrote. "After 17 years at CNN I would have thought someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly."

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has directed the National Guard and California Highway Patrol to help combat San Francisco's fentanyl trafficking crisis. On Friday, Newsom announced an effort to have both agencies assist local authorities to address the rise in fentanyl use. The agreement will focus on "dismantling fentanyl trafficking and disrupting the supply of the deadly drug in the city by holding the operators of large-scale drug trafficking operations accountable," the Democratic governor's office said. "Two truths can co-exist at the same time: San Francisco’s violent crime rate is below comparably sized cities like Jacksonville [Florida] and Fort Worth [Texas] — and there is also more we must do

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) said New York City is being “destroyed” by President Joe Biden’s migrant crisis during a panel discussion in Washington, DC, hosted by the African American Mayors Association. “The city is being destroyed by the migrant crisis,” Adams bluntly stated. Adams was joined on the panel by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D), Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner (D), and outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D). Florida Gov. Facing a friendly conservative audience of around 1,070 that greeted him with a standing ovation, DeSantis, who has not yet declared for 2024 but is widely expected to, tested whether he could flaunt signing a six-week abortion ban. DeSantis did not mention the abortion ban bill in a Liberty University speech the day after he signed the bill last week. The measure drew criticism and prompted

This is kind of fun. Maybe Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is crazy like a fox, no? If he can’t wear you out, he’ll wait you out. A couple of days ago I posted about how McCarthy had gotten the framework for a debt ceiling bill banged out with his fractious bunch of coconuts. In a speech given at the New York Stock Exchange, the Speaker put forth the meat of the GOP proposals, said they would have a bill to vote on “in weeks,” and, again, asked the president to please meet in good faith negotiations. The pro-legal weed Hochul administration is quietly trying to fire up support for a complete ban on the sale of tobacco products in New York, The Post has learned. The state Health Department commissioned a new survey aimed at gauging support for an all-out prohibition — despite Gov. Hochul’s failure to secure support from state legislators to include a ban on menthol cigarettes and other flavored tobacco products in the yet-to-be-approved state budget. “What is your opinion about a policy that would end the sale of all tobacco products in New York within 10 years?” were among the questions asked last week in the “New York Local Opinion Leaders Survey,”

But here in April 2023, the GOP one has already descended into a disgusting spiral of lies and insanity — because of the increasingly disordered and amateurish Donald Trump campaign. Trump has a clear lane in the primary. He has a record of accomplishment as president; he led the country to prosperity that has since sharply declined; he exposes the politicization and corruption of our government agencies when he’s personally targeted by leftist activist district attorneys like Alvin Bragg and when he is the subject of a baseless search for documents at his home.
