Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson is running for president in 2024, he said Sunday.
“I am going to be running. And the reason, as I’ve traveled the country for six months, I hear people talk about the leadership of our country, and I’m convinced that people want leaders that appeal to the best of America, and not simply appeal to our worst instincts,” Hutchinson said during an interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC’s “This Week.” “I believe I can be that kind of leader for the people of America.” Hutchinson will make a formal announcement later this month in Bentonville, Arkansas, he said.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman has left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after six weeks of inpatient treatment for clinical depression, with plans to return to the Senate when the chamber resumes session in mid-April, his office said Friday. In a statement, Fetterman's office said he is back home in Braddock, in western Pennsylvania, with his depression “in remission,” and gave details on his treatment — including that his depression was treated with medication and that he is wearing hearing aids for hearing loss. It was the latest medical episode for the Democrat, who won last fall's

Trans activists have been storming state capitols over the last few days. On March 29, it was Kentucky. On March 30, it was Tennessee. Now for the third day in a row, trans activists have stormed another state capitol.
This time, it’s Florida. But I’m fairly certain that none of these people will be charged with an effort to “obstruct an official proceeding,” after they screamed at the top of their lungs.
One of the organizers ranted, to whip up the crowd, “This fight does not end here. We keep showing up every single day. We keep making our voices heard.” Then

The Biden administration is preparing to implement a sweeping nationwide ban on commonly used light bulbs as part of its energy efficiency and climate agenda. The regulations, which prohibit retailers from selling incandescent light bulbs, were finalized by the Department of Energy (DOE) in April 2022 and are slated to go into effect on Aug. 1, 2023. The DOE will begin full enforcement of the ban on that date, but it has already urged retailers to begin transitioning away from the light bulb type and, in recent months, begun issuing warning notices to companies. "The lighting industry is already embracing

Everything about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is shallow fakery and manipulative astroturf. The term “astroturf” is given whenever a political operation attempts to generate the illusion of support where little to no support exists. Astroturf politics is pure fabrication and highlights the smallness of the candidate for whom the astroturf operation is conducted.
In republican national politics we saw astroturf operations around Carly Fiorina and Ted Cruz in 2016, so it doesn’t come as a surprise to see the same individual’s surface again as hired by Team DeSantis to create his 2024 astroturf campaign. Yesterday’s trip(snip)to Georgia was pure astroturf, complete with free DeSantis ’24 swag, t-shirts, and various

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is really making a name for himself on a national level, likely much to his eventual regret. After convincing a grand jury to bring preposterous charges against Donald Trump, Bragg had to find something to keep himself busy until Tuesday, and a New York garage attendant named Moussa Diarra offered him that opportunity. Diarra was working the overnight shift yesterday when he spotted Charles Rhodie rooting around the garage with a bag, apparently attempting to steal some of the tools and equipment in the garage. Diarra confronted Rhodie and demanded to inspect the bag.

An agreement has been reached between prosecutors in Manhattan and Trump’s legal team over the terms of the former Presidents surrender. The news comes less than a day after the Manhattan Grand Jury announced their vote to indict the former president for his hush money case with Stormy Daniels.According to the report, Trump will not be handcuffed when he surrenders. The unusual event will mark the first instance of a former US commander-in-chief being arrested and brought to court.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley has issued a warning to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over his politically motivated case against President Donald Trump.
The legal scholar notes that New York judges, especially at the Appellate level, will not like the George Soros-funded prosecutor’s case against Trump.
“This indictment, if it is reportedly following the theory that we’ve been talking about, is political,” Turley said.
“It’s a raw political prosecution.

Like most big cities, Chicago has a crime problem. The city is not unique in that respect, nor is it unique in residents charging the police with racism, brutality, and the targeting of minorities.
But Chicago is afflicted with a deadly combination: a police department that walks on eggshells for fear of being accused of brutality, thus making far fewer arrests, and a local prosecutor who believes it’s more important to impose her idea of “restorative justice” than enforce the law.
The city’s police department is under a Department of Justice consent decree that does little to address the real, systemic problems on the Chicago police force but adds reams

Hillsdale College, a revered institution at which I have had the honor to lecture on several occasions, revoked the Tallahassee Classical School’s license to use its curriculum after the Florida institution fired its principal for showing a photo of Michelangelo’s nude statue of David without notifying parents. At least one parent considered the image pornographic. Hillsdale explained, “This drama around teaching Michelangelo’s ‘David” sculpture, one of the most important works of art in existence, has become a distraction from, and a parody of, the actual aims of classical education. Of course, Hillsdale’s K-12 art curriculum includes Michelangelo’s ‘David’ and other works of art that depict the human form.

Things have been coming up all roses for transgender performance artist and social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney, purveyor of the infamous “365 Days of Girlhood” TikTok propaganda series.
It’s been a banner week in the Mulvaney household (his household being a lonely apartment for one in Manhattan somewhere), as reportedly, per the Daily Mail, “Dylan Mulvaney’s man-to-girl transition has won her TikTok fame, riches, and allies in the White House, but left her lonely and undateable.”
TikTok influence can’t buy happiness, but it can buy access to the neoliberal ruling elite, which has bathed Mulvaney in unending admiration since he began making delusional, self-indulgent “transition” videos a year ago.
