Ford Motor Company says its electric vehicle (EV) unit, “Ford Model e,” is losing billions of dollars, and should be viewed as a startup company.
Model e has lost $3 billion before taxes over the last two years, and is expected to lose another $3 billion this year as the company invests in the new technology, according to a report by Associated Press. In 2021, Ford’s Model e unit had pretax losses of $900 million. And in 2022, that number was $2.1 billion. Ford reportedly believes Model e will be profitable before taxes by late 2026, with an eight percent pretax profit margin.

Hollywood, specifically the film industry, is going through a legitimate, serious, and potentially fatal phase.
No one likes the movies anymore.
The key to a healthy industry—audience goodwill—is evaporating quickly.
Sure, there have been some recent hits. Avatar: The Way of Water just became the second-highest worldwide grosser (not counting for inflation) in history. The last three or four Marvel movies have made money. But let’s not kid ourselves. Avatar 2, just like Avatar 1, has had no cultural impact whatsoever. I know of one person who saw it, and when asked his opinion, he replied with a shrug. My guess, and this is just a guess,

During his expose regarding the occurrences on January 6 2021, Tucker Carlson covered the curious circumstances surrounding Rap Epps.
Epps was seen on camera inciting Trump supporters to go into the Capitol the night before the Jan. 6 protests. (snip) NBC News reports Epp’s lawyer Michael Teter sent a ease-and-desist notice to Tucker Carlson and Fox News general counsel Bernard Gugar demanding a retraction and apology from Carlson relating to Epps.
In the notice, Teter wrote that the Fox News host “persists with his assault on the truth” by pushing “fanciful notions” regarding Epps’s involvement in the Capitol attack that were “demonstrably false.”

Brick-and-mortar stores throughout the country appear to be meeting a sorry fate as huge retailers seek to streamline their operations.
Over the last month, several prominent retailers, including Walmart, Amazon, CVS, Foot Locker and Macy's, have announced a swathe of store closures.
In total, nearly 850 stores are set to shut by the end of 2023, with many forced into desperate cost-cutting measures amid rampant inflation and declining bottom lines.

Before getting to the latest developments regarding the worries of the mid-tier donor class within the Republican apparatus, I want to provide some context for the overall Ron DeSantis (RdS) management agenda. (snip)I can trace the origin of the RdS 2024 scheme to an originating timeframe in late fall 2021. It may go back further than that, but it is at least in place by the late fall of 2021. That means that everything within the professional Republican apparatus,(snip)had RdS ’24 as the agenda throughout the 2022 midterm calendar.

Self-described “woke” Defense Department schools official Kelisa Wing, whose anti-white social media comments garnered national attention last fall, has been reassigned to an unrelated role, The Post has learned. Minnesota lawmakers on Thursday advanced legislation that would establish the state as a "trans refuge" for children who are seeking transgender medical procedures but who may be denied "gender-affirming care" in other states. In a party-line 68-62 vote, the Minnesota House passed HF 146, which had been introduced by Rep. Leigh Finke of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Finke is the state's first transgender lawmaker.
Democrats supporting the bill say the legislation will protect transgender people, their families and healthcare providers from facing legal repercussions for traveling to Minnesota to obtain cross-sex hormone prescriptions or sex-change procedures.

Biden Pentagon officials in charge of military personnel policy defended pushing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the United States military during a House hearing on Thursday, arguing that it would make the military stronger, not more divided. However, they were short on data to back up their arguments.
Gil Cisneros, the undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness, argued, “Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to unit cohesion and trust.”

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) slammed the New York and Georgia investigations into former President Trump as being part of a “cancer in our body politic,” arguing they are politically motivated.
Cuomo told John Catsimatidis, who hosts the talk radio show “The Cats Roundtable,” in an interview on WABC 770 that he expects Trump will be indicted in Manhattan next week. He said he “doesn’t understand” why Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) is “putting such an emphasis” on the case investigating a hush-money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

For years, President Biden has maintained a Sgt. Schultz defense ("I know nothing, nothing!") to counter allegations that his family has profiteered on influence peddling with foreign countries and companies. Despite mounting evidence to the contrary, Biden maintains that he "knows nothing, nothing" about son Hunter Biden's business deals. He recently doubled down on this defense by even denying that family members received money from foreign sources. He repeated his denial even after the release of financial transfer reports from his own administration showing millions transferred from China.
Now, emails have emerged that show that Biden personally helped draft responses to the controversial deals in 2015
