Donald Trump's call for Americans to "protest", after claiming he will be "arrested on Tuesday", has sparked an angry reaction online, with commentators comparing it to the rhetoric used ahead of the January 6 2021 attack on Congress. Speculation has been growing for weeks that Trump is about to be indicted by the Manhattan district attorney's office, for allegedly breaching campaign finance laws to arrange a payment of $130,000 in hush money to adult movie star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
On January 6 2021 hundreds of Trump supporters stormed Congress in a bid to stop Joe Biden's 2020 presidential election result from being certified. In the ensuing mayhem,

It's not "protest", it's protest. Cities won't burn but it's legal to get noisy in front of TV and cell phone cameras. But the media is back to paying attention to him again on social media - that's why he returned to Facebook and YouTube. His supporters pay more attention to that than to legacy media; and he will begin his public presidential campaigning in the next 7 days.

Stay out of DC. Conservatives protesting there is no longer a wise move.
They love ANTIFA and hate Conservatives.

I wish he had not said that word. Protest! We saw what the Democrats did with the Jan 6th "Protest". I think Conservatives should stay miles away from this one. Don't let the Democrats put their own "Protesters" in and then blame everything on MAGA! One way or another, President Trump will get out of this Sham, just like he got out of everything they've thrown at him so far!

As with all so-called legitimate press & mainstream media, #4 - if not in fact, then apparently in purpose.

Dear Newsweek: When we are no longer allowed to protest wrongdoing, we are no longer free.
What criticism do you have of the BLM protests? The George Floyd city-destroying protests? And where are those protesters jailed?
The left’s list goes on and on. Does only the left have the right to protest?

Soooo...they are spending millions to prosecute him for paying a blackmailer/extortionist by calling it a "campaign expense". Are they also going to prosecute the accuser, the attorneys and others involved for NOT declaring the whole thing as a "Contribution" to Trumps opponents?
By their own reasoning Isn't this whole persecution a campaign donation to Trumps opponents?
In fact...a compilation of the Media/News minutes generated, multiplied by advertising rates at the various outlets constantly pushing these stories would generate a "Real Number" for use in their "Contribution" calculus...that THEY have not declared, and neither have Trumps opponents declared as having received..

#1, Trump supporters won’t be burning and looting. But there is no guarantee that those pretending to be Trump supporters, as on J6, won’t be heeding their own call to “protest” again.
They are only called “mostly peaceful protestors” when they create mayhem against American sovereignty.

Once again Trump ran off at the mouth when he should have kept quiet.
I believe in Trump , but at times he needs to think before he speaks

I would never be surprised to see the US government crackdown on dissidents as harshly as China or Russia. It's the same mentality at work. The people going after Trump are looking for a fight. They want a fight. It gives them justification. We can have the equivalent of Tiananmen Square in the USA.

When the real President(Trump) gets arrested, the country will be politically and socially divided. In the midst of chaos and confusion, our enemy will attack and leave unimaginable damage to our country. Democrat wants chaos to implement an authoritarian regime to run this country.

People suggesting Trump should stay quiet fall right into the Communist playbook. If Trump is not allowed to say certain words then none of us are allowed to use those words. Sure, let's let the Dems decide who can speak, who can protest, who can run for office.

Trump didn't call for a protest on Jan. 6th. He offered 12,000 national guard troops to protect the Capitol because of intel he received weeks before. His offer was turned down by Piglosi, and the racist mayor of D.C. This protest is different, this is a government out of control and doing everything it can to take the one leader that's proAmerican out of the picture. This is an attack on the average citizen. They've tried to get Trump on everything including the kitchen sink, and they've made up charges to do it. The real antiAmerican who has really broken the law is Biteme. If there are protests, they might not be the peaceful protests of Jan. 6th. The government may have finally found the straw that breaks the camel's back this time.

People have a right to protest. Period. We are living in scary times if people cannot exercise their First Amendment rights without being labeled terrorists.

Three cheers for #16!!!! Those who would muzzle, modify, wimpify our greatest modern president are so wrongheaded. He is not a timid soul. That is his greatest asset. He is bold. And he is,as Ivanka described him, “blunt”. The dictionary says blunt means “uncompromisingly straightforward”. The quarrel with that?

Some here saw this coming months ago. By next January FPDT will be finished as a candidate, and the knuckleheads protesting will simply be pounding nails in his political coffin raging on as less committed Trumpistas turn away to their alternative . Meanwhile the establishment plays on.

America needs a call to prayer. It would be a wonderful & awesome thing to see every house of worship filled with special prayer for our country tomorrow. But, whether or not that happens, WTP need to continue to pray without ceasing.
James, through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”(James 5:16)
Deuteronomy 6:17 You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you. 18 And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may go well with you, and that you may go in and take possession of the good land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers.
Colossians 3: 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
And - let us not forget to pray for our enemies (Matthew 5).
Pray that their eyes be opened to recognize what is right & wrong in God’s sight & to choose to do right.
There have been reports of some who are awakening to the fact that “woke” means walking after the ways of man & being blind to the ways of God. Who, except God, knows whether His providence will open their eyes? May it be so!
Regardless of anything that is happening, or will happen, our first line of defense before any action is always faithful, trusting, fervent, reverent, prayer to Jehovah God. May He have mercy and bless US.

Soooo....millions and millions from foreign entities to the Bidens, including "the Big Guy". Foreign campaign contributions to the Clintons and Barry the Fraud, but $130k alleged to pay off a porn star from campaign funds puts steel bracelets on an ex President for the first time in American history? There ought to be massive civil disruption. Peaceful, but massive.

The Clinton Campaign characterized payment for a fraudulent "dossier" for the sole purpose of unseating a sitting President as legal expenses. But that's okay.
