The coming Trump arrest is a very dangerous
power play

My mom used a pressure cooker that was the terror of the household. It bounced around all over the counter and, unless the heat was applied and the pressure released with incredible care, it was like having a bomb in the kitchen. When I look at what the Democrats are doing in America, I am reminded of that pressure cooker. Their latest scheme is to Trump’s arrest even as they announce that they are doubling down on persecuting the almost entirely peaceful J6 protesters who unwittingly trespassed in the Capitol. The first action builds pressure; the second denies Americans their constitutional safety valve. I fear that this cannot end well.

I remember removing the weight once when my Mom was making beans.. long story short... 2 lbs of beans will fit thru a 1/8inch hole and reach the ceiling... I hope this stunt backfires on the DA and Trump gets to use this to his advantage..

FTA: "What you may not know is that at roughly the same time, the DOJ warned the D.C. federal court that, despite already charging more than 1,000 people for unwittingly entering the Capitol on J6 (thanks to those unindicted operatives), it still plans to indict more than 1,000 other people on J6 charges."

I have used a pressure pan for the last 60 years. Never had anything untoward happen to me or the contents when I was using it. The difference is that I knew what I was doing, knew how to use it and what the outcome would be. Can't say the same for Bragg and Reis.

January 6 was carefully arranged, complete with busloads of agitators, to smear President Trump and his supporters. Not surprisingly, American adults smelled a very large rat when Joe Biden, never a font of brilliance, babbled his way to winning more votes than any presidential candidate in history, while "campaigning" from his basement. We've seen the January 6 power play before. On that day, well meaning Americans attended a protest that descended into chaos thanks to inadequate security and agitators who somehow had funds to pay for lodging, meals, climbing equipment, communications devices, munitions, and chartered bus transportation that the FBI apparently knew nothing about on January 5. The lead time in announcing President Trump's possible arrest suggests that the event planners could be hoping for a large turn out of protestors and want to give them time to get there. The same would be true if there are plans to bring in agitators. Anyway, I hope everyone who is convinced January 6 was a set up, will not be lured into participating in what could be another set-up designed to pump up the next false narrative about the evils of Donald Trump and his supporters. It would be better if they set up their circus, and nobody came.

The Democrats are making a big mistake. This is clearly understood by everyone to be another partisan witch hunt on very dubious charges that they know won’t stick. What they want is a choreographed arrest drama. This is going to make Trump more popular than he already is. Like Trump or not we have to support him through this and send a message to the corrupt DOJ. Enough is enough.

I'm quite surprised President Trump called for his supporters to protest his possible arrest, especially in light of the J6 prisoners and the new round of announced arrests. I feel he is putting our people at risk. I have only seen one reference that he put a message out on his Truth social that the protest is supposed to be people honking and making noise on Tuesday at 5:00pm eastern time. If that's the case, that is a proper protest. But that needs to be explained every time he says the word "protest", or he is leaving too much to interpretation by supporters and enemies alike. That is dangerous to life and liberty to many innocents. We're too close to the trip wire.

They want to harass him all they way up to the 2024 election using the appellate courts. If the Trump supporters get mad and cause either real or imagines violence, so much the better.

The Supreme Court on Monday struck down a federal court ruling upholding the right for a minor to go to court to get permission to undergo an abortion, with Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson penning a solo dissent in the case. The ruling from the court on Monday vacated a lower court ruling that a state court clerk could be sued for telling a pregnant teenager that the court must notify her parents of her attempt to get a court order to allow her to obtain an abortion without the consent of her parents. Jackson’s dissent focused on the use of Munsingwear vacatur, in which a case is vacated

Because honest to goodness, it sure seems like we’re doing both and at a cyclic rate. Monies upon monies. It’s not like we’re in any money trouble ourselves, but the clowns at the Treasury and Fed will just keep printing what Biden needs to cover his butt. When it comes to ammo and equipment, that’s a horse of a different color entirely. Those have to be procured and manufactured – two things we have sincere difficulties with these days. Just today, this popped up in my Twitter feed. Oh, “just another [insert: hundred million dollar multiple]” – no bigs, especially since it’s weapons, not like actual cash or anything. In actual fact,

The massive Los Angeles Unified School District will be closed Tuesday – and possibly Wednesday and Thursday – because of a planned strike by tens of thousands of teachers and other school employees. "All schools across LAUSD will be closed tomorrow," Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, leader of the nation's second-largest school district, said at a Monday afternoon news conference. "Tomorrow will be a difficult day." Carvalho, who oversees about 600,000 students at more than 1,000 schools, expressed frustration with the union representing workers including bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers, campus security and teaching assistants. The union said talks with the school district broke down Monday

A Texas mother who is a self-described former “woke” liberal got some sense knocked into her and decided that the woke mob wasn’t so fool-proof after all. Laura Maria Gruber said she recently removed her 13-year-old from a San Antonio school after finding out the child had been asked to play the role of a “seducing hooker” in her middle-school class. Honestly, based on the standards the public school system is setting these days, this news is far from surprising. The game was called “Bear-Hooker-Hunter,” according to Daily Mail, and is essentially an adult version of rock-paper-scissors. The young teens were reportedly told to strike poses

Minneapolis — As head of PAWS Atlanta, Joe Labriola can get a good sense of the region’s economic well-being from the day-to-day activity of the city’s oldest no-kill animal shelter. Through the course of the past year, it’s become increasingly clear to him that people in the area are struggling under the weight of inflation and economic uncertainty. Practically the entirety of the daily call volume consists of requests to rehome pets. The shelter’s “surrender queue” is full, awaiting adoptions to free up space in the main shelter. And the shelves at PAWS Atlanta’s Pet Food Pantry quickly go bare. But perhaps the most heartbreaking indicator is something this particular shelter never

A federal judge on Monday blocked enforcement of a decades-old California law that requires newly developed handguns to have particular safety features, ruling the regulation overly stringent and a violation of the Second Amendment. California’s Unsafe Handgun Act, enacted in 2001, aims to prevent accidental discharges through various safety standards. The legislation mandates that certain handguns have a chamber-load indicator and a magazine-disconnect mechanism that prevents a handgun from being fired if the magazine is not fully inserted. To assist with gun-crime investigations, the firearms also must have a microstamping mechanism, which allows the transfer of microscopic imprints of the handgun’s make, model, and serial number onto shell casings

Two no-confidence votes against French President Emmanuel Macron's government have failed in the country's parliament, clearing the way for his hugely unpopular pension reforms to be implemented and sparking new protests in Paris. The government triggered special constitutional powers last Thursday to push through controversial legislation that would raise the age of retirement from 62 to 64 for most workers. Lawmakers critical of the move called the no-confidence votes that were held on Monday. The first motion was brought forward by the small parliamentary group "LIOT," which represents various small parties, and was seen as the most likely of the two to threaten the government.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden issued the first veto of his presidency Monday in an early sign of shifting White House relations with the new Congress since Republicans took control in January. He’s seeking to kill a Republican measure that bans the government from considering environmental impacts or potential lawsuits when making investment decisions for Americans’ retirement plans. It’s just the latest manifestation of the new relationship, and Biden is gearing up for even bigger fights with Republicans on government spending and raising the nation’s debt limit in the next few months.

When law is tossed out the window, is anybody surprised that chaos follows? That's apparently what we have in the Manhattan district attorney's office, where Soros-financed District Attorney Alvin Bragg is reportedly presiding over a chaotic shambles in the wake of news that his men intend to indict President Trump on politicized charges. Banana republic politics, banana republic office, just like what you might find in places like Caracas or Managua. The root of it seems to be in Bragg's stated Trump-hate, which he openly campaigned on when he ran for office in Manhattan. That's actually illegal, but the matter was ignored by voters. The Florida governor made the comments Monday after Trump's inner circle criticized him for staying silent on claims the former president will be arrested in the Stormy Daniels hush money case on Tuesday. It offers a dilemma to Trump's likely rivals for the Republican 2024 nomination: Do they take the opportunity to bash the former president for his indiscretions, or do they steer clear for fear of alienating the vocal, restless party base?

I agree with him that it’s a political vendetta, but disagree about taking to the streets. It is indeed a nakedly political act by the Manhattan District Attorney. Numerous other prosecutors including sophisticated federal prosecutors have reviewed this same evidence, and have declined to pursue this case. Rightly so. It’s a lousy case. The legal theory is a stretch. Moreover, the prosecution’s fact witnesses are not credible.
