Sen. John Fetterman will likely need to be hospitalized for at least “a few weeks” as he receives inpatient treatment for clinical depression in Washington, DC, a senior aide said Friday. It’s been hard for staffers to tell whether the 53-year-old Pennsylvania Democrat has been unresponsive in recent weeks due to hearing loss from the stroke he suffered in May — or because he’s in the throes of despair, the aide told NBC. “[He’s] not hearing you or is he sort of crippled by his depression and social anxiety,” said the aide— adding that staffers were surprised by the severity

He is depressed because he has severe brain damage.

The people that should be depressed and embarrassed are the voters of Pennsylvania. The whole country saw this coming.

Certainly his politics and life-view are opposite from mine.
But I empathize and wish him a full recovery.

If you voted for Fetterman you're as seriously unbalance and unhinged as him.

Almost feel sorry for Quasimodo. He was seduced by a hoochie coochie tart who has the ambition of Hillary and the brains of AOC. She drove him to this. The real reason he was sent to the funny farm is he thought Quid Pro Joe was a great POTUS.

Without looking it up, intentionally; fetterman"s love looks 1/3 his age. He robbed the cradle.

I guess winning a senate race is not the life culminating event he thought it would be. Especially if you destroyed your health in campaigning. Oh well, as long as he’s alive he can still vote. That’s all the dims need.

And CNN talked about him as a future presidential candidate. But when you kiss FJB butt till your lips get dry I assume Fetterman almost appears human. As a country we truly are headed down the toilet.

Real Pennsylvania voters elected neither Biden nor Fetterman. Nor did we elect Shapiro for Governor. The corruption of Pennsylvania politics sickens me.

This is what stupid ignorant PA voters did to the country. It wasn't enough that they elected a senile president, but they wanted to foist a demented senator on the country as well. That's demonrats for you.

I feel for the man , I really wish he would recover whatever abilities he had before the stroke, but it aint going to happen. His brain is as good now as it will ever get again.
If his wife loved him she would insist that he give up being a Senator and allow Pa. to put some other idiot in his seat.
Sorry, but that is what should happen, and yes that is what Pa. would do if he stepped down.

The dilemma/opportunity for Pennsylvania now is that Fetterman won't be allowed to resign at risk of Democrats losing his seat in 2024. Should Shapiro have to choose a replacement in the near future, Pennsylvania law requires that replacement to face the voters at the next election. It's possible that Pennsylvania might have two senators on the ballot in 2024.

#17, PA is like CA. An enormous number of people and counties are conservative. It is the population centers of Philly and Pittsburgh that swing the elections.
This from a native who has now lived in NC since 1992.

Fetterman might as well resign his seat and disappear. He can't do the work because he's incapable of it. What in the hell were Democrats thinking by pushing this fellow forward?

He and the people around him made a bad decision - to focus on his senate campaign at the expense of his recovery. Unfortunately, he's the only one who has to pay the price.

Why didn't the cheaters in Pennsylvania just elect a corpse to the position? Fetterman is about two heartbeats away from that.

It turns out that he’s dealt with depression his whole life - a fact the Democraps hid until now.
Fetterman’s last stroke was due to a blood clot, caused by myocarditis, that made its way to his head. His cardiologist prescribed meds to prevent that, but Fetterman refused to take the meds. That means a second stroke is just a matter of time.
Fetterman will be dead by the end of the year. The Democraps don’t care, because the PA governor can just appoint another Democrap stooge to take his place.

Pennsylvania voters for Fetterman are over the moon with happiness. It was clear that candidate Fetterman would not be able to represent the state in any meaningful way, yet he got their vote. This is called defining deviancy down, now common in woke Pennsylvania and America.

The truth is unquestionably much worse than we are being told. I give fifty-fifty on his walking out of Walter Reed alive.
The charitable wish for him is to resign from a post he was never capable of holding, to go home and be cared for, for whatever time he has left. Of course, that would require someone with his best interests at heart.
