Ukraine's insistence on reasserting control over the annexed Crimean Peninsula is controversial for United States citizens, exclusive polling for Newsweek has revealed. Throughout the past year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly committed to "liberating" Crimea from Russian control. The peninsula was illegally annexed by Moscow back in 2014. "Crimea is our land, our territory," Zelensky said in January. "It is our sea and our mountains. Give us your weapons—we will return what is ours." His words coincided with reports that the Biden administration was warming up to the idea of supporting Kyiv in its goal of retaking Crimea.

Do Americans know that the American taxpayer is paying the salaries and PENSIONS of Ukrainian civil service employees? Spare me any complaint about the US federal employees - at least they're American.
I keep hearing from experts like KT McFarland that we are taking out (or trying to) Putin without directly confronting him, via Ukraine, but what happens if Putin leaves? There's no discussion about who will replace him and I doubt it will be the Russian version of George Washington.
Impeached Trump for a phone call to the same man that Biden is sucking upto while billions of our money is sent there into the Black Hole of Kyiv. And yet, too many Republicans are going along with this travesty.

Controversial? It's a provocation that the little clown just financed with a half billion dollars of American taxpayer dollars. Joe is being played like a cheap fiddle and for reasons not yet being made public, Joe was made an offer he can't refuse.

First Ukraine was in self-defense, now they are talking of taking back Crimea.
This crap has gone far enough
Tell Ukraine to sue for peace or cut them off.

I've said it before and will say it again. This is not our jungle and these are not our monkeys. Nothing but grief will come to us on this. Defend our borders, not Ukraine's.

Instead of publicly attempting to demonize Putin, Biden should be privately talking to him about stopping this shooting war in Ukraine. If Ukraine invaded the Crimean Peninsula they would have to also attack the areas of Russia near Crimea, once they do that, who knows, to stop that the Russians could deploy tactical nuclear weapons ending up starting a wider war.
The Ukrainians should not trust Biden one bit, who has sent hundreds of billions of American taxpayers dollars and modern weapons to Ukraine, a country known for corrupt activities, without any safeguards to know how that money and weapons are being spent or used, or has been sucked off through corruption, as we can see how Biden operates in that respect, as after Biden saying the the USA will send main battle tanks to Ukraine, we are now finding out that the tanks that Biden says that he intends to send to Ukraine do not currently exist, and must be manufactured and only then will be supposedly transported to Ukraine possible sometime next year. That means Biden must think that the war in Ukraine will still be ongoing until the tanks arrive and the Ukrainian crews are trained to operate them. Beyond that Biden has a political record of running away from past foreign wars when the going really gets tough, remember his quick bail out from Afghanistan, and before that Biden did not support the military capturing Osama bin Ladin who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks in NY, PA, and DC murdering thousands of Americans. You can also safely bet that Biden supported the USA bailout from Vietnam after 58,000 Americans were killed there, in a war that was started by the liberal Democrats.

Russians live there now, it is historically Tatar, and I do not see why every spare penny on Earth has to go to getting it for Ukraine. This war is starving and freezing everybody. Plus which, to prepare for it the Ukrainians thought in advance to corrupt our democracy so they could have their crooked friend in charge of us, Biden, who basically sniggers when people ask him questions. He likes turning his back on us, he probably would like to moon us if he dared. This is their work. In spite of it, I still want to save them from torture but if they are trying to leverage that care into helping them get Crimea even if the rest of us have to fight WW3, then, no. People are starving and freezng. To get you down off the wall from the electrical cord and whips, yes. To get you Crimea, no. What is the diff between you saying Crimea is really yours versus PUtin saying Kyiv is really his. And don't answer. Just, shut up about your ancient holdings and why you need to evict everybody from where they live. Not going to help you with that. Biden is your fault. He hates us, and you did this.

It’ll never happen. I just spoke to a Russian friend. The word back home is that, up until now, this war has mostly been a defensive one, and it will soon turn into a major offensive. More people need to read their Russian history.
