How does Donald Trump vs. Ron DeSantis end? “Not well” is my answer. Such pessimism is based on former President Trump’s recent response when radio host Hugh Hewitt asked him if he would support “whoever” wins the GOP presidential nomination. “It would have to depend on who the nominee was,” Trump replied, prompting Hewitt to change topics.
The 45th president’s answer leads one to envision a list of “acceptable” nominees locked in a drawer at Mar-a-Lago. And what if the eventual winner were someone Trump considered disloyal?

Moderates, RINOs, GOPe and anti-Trumpers sure keep pushing this topic. Must be nervous. Most MAGAs I know have a wait and see attitude.

Here is how it will end: Trump for president and DeSantis his Vice President. Remember you read it here first.

How did Biden vs Hillary vs Bernie end? Funny, media never posited that as a major issue at the time.
Biden bailed out early, never bucked the powers. Bernie hung on until the end, no matter all of the power/spying/lying Hillary et al brought to bear to undercut him. Survived to fight Biden to the end 4 years later. Biden had to promise(behind the scenes) to adopt nearly the entire Bernie agenda though to pull it off. Biden isn't doing what he ran on, nor EVER ran on...he is doing what Bernie ran on, and had always run on.

The author worked for W. Bush and McCain's campaigns. She forgets that DeSantis barely won in 2018 and that Trump, a non-politician, won, not the governship, but the Presidency and that his "loss" was at least tainted by private money, ballot harvesting and unprecendented mail-in voting. Does anyone really think DeSantis will have the draw of Trump for independents, blue colllar Democrats and the Republican base? Trump, unlike last time, has more experience. I think/hope DeSantis will sit 2024 out. His time will come, in 2028. If Trump can win again, it creates a potential for 12 years of Republican control of the Presidency.

Another tidbit. The author of this article wrote an article last year with the headline, America Needs Liz Cheney. Enough said!

Both Trump and DeSantis need to respect Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment. He who does not will not get my vote.

The Trump haters are a lot like the Rush haters. They always attacked Rush for his plainly spoken loyalty to our Founders and our Founding documents. He was an unabashed, unapologetic American Patriot. IOW, he was a loyal Constitutional Conservative, & he proved it for decades. They hated him for his unparalleled effectiveness & tried, on many occasions, to destroy him. He clearly articulated what his “Dittohead Family” also believed, and made our beliefs & voices heard “across the fruited plain”. At the beginning, we loved Rush for loving our country. He loved us for the same reason. But, it didn’t take long for us to see that he could withstand the vicious, hateful personal attacks against him because of the patriotism he espoused. They lied about & magnified every human flaw & ignored every virtue in him. So, we came very quickly to love him for himself. He loved us for our loyalty & support of him, as well. We became a family. We noted those who were “disloyal” to him by their lack of support at times when they seemed to think supporting him would cause problems for them.
The same is happening with Donald Trump. The people who hate him & his MAGA followers think his followers can’t think for themselves & blindly do what he says to do - as indicated in this hit piece of an article. Just as they thought about those who supported Rush. Nothing anyone could say would convince them otherwise, regardless of how inaccurate they might be.
DJT has proven his loyalty to his country & gained the trust of his supporters. We have watched them attack & malign him & those he loves - even his young son, while they loudly proclaim children to be “off limits”. They have, likewise, magnified every human flaw & tried to convince the world that he has no redeeming qualities, let alone virtues. That from people who ignore truly awful and evil actions of their own chosen public figures & have turned projection of their flaws and misdeeds onto others into an art form. We have seen what Donald Trump did for this country & for ALL of her people. He proved his genuine love for all of US by the things he did for the country, & the things he (and his family) suffered & endured while doing them.
Disloyalty is a hurtful thing. His detractors don’t get a pass in my book. I will never turn against him for the words he may say about anyone in response to what they have not only said, but done against him, either directly or through some other means, when he had only shown kindness & support to them when they needed his loyalty. We remember kindnesses that he has done that go unmentioned. We have seen that negativity can also be implied by how you say or do something, or by how you don’t say or do something. That, imho, equals or surpasses any “rudeness” Trump might come outright & say on the bad behavior scale.
I thought some of Trump’s quotes in this article expressed disappointment, but a lack of surprise & somewhat of an acceptance that politics can change people & their loyalties. He isn’t the one who weaponized the government against his political opponents under his leadership.

#4 -- One of them would have to move out of Florida -- Constitution prohibits president and VP from same state.

Trump-Desantis would pose a Constitutional issue as both are Florida residents…and Trump’s not going “back” to New York.
The Trumpistas will be sadly disappointed either way. FPDT may win the nomination. The RINOS and many real Republicans will stay home or vote otherwise. That “hell no” works two ways, and DJT can’t win without them in large numbers.

It ends when Trump supporters turn out in the primaries at much higher levels than the anti-Trumpers.

Their is no substitute or surrogate for Trump MAGA or America 1st.
Nicky Haley looks absolutely qualified to manage some Brownies.
DeSantis is hanging out with his new anti MAGA Swamp friends.
Pompeo- Ex CIA seems like a nice guy but I thought that about AG Bill Barr.
I'm voting for the One, the Only, America 1st MAGA candidate, Trump.
I won't vote for anyone else.
