J.K. Rowling is arguably the most successful author in the history of publishing, with the possible exception of God. And “Harry Potter” was a kind of bible for my generation. Since its publication beginning in the late ’90s, the series has taught tens of millions of children about virtues like loyalty, courage, and love—about the inclusion of outsiders and the celebration of difference. The books illustrated the idea of moral complexity, how a person who may at first appear sinister can turn out to be a hero after all.
The author herself became part of the legend, too. A broke, abused, and depressed single mother—writing in longhand at cafes

Rowling is being confronted by groupthink; you could spend all day making rational arguments to them and it wouldn't make a difference. People have, by and large, ceased thinking for themselves. Just look at the pictures of the crowd in London, and the book-burning fools in New Mexico. I see nothing but LEMMINGS, all running over themselves to be the first off the cliff. So pathetic.

Only read one, the first, Harry Potter. I was a bit old for the audience. I spent some of my youth on Lords and Rings.
But I must say I like her and her "up yours" attitude toward soft minded critics.

It never ceases to amaze me that the people who are always demanding tolerance for themselves are the least tolerant toward others.
My daughter was a child when the first HP book came out and hubby and I took turns reading it to her at bedtime. Soon we were all hooked on the series and, every time a new book came out, we argued over who got to read it first. I’ve read the whole thing at least 3 times and it never gets old - there is always something new to discover.
I’ve never considered them to be children’s books because there is so much in them which is over the heads of young children. If you don’t know some Latin and are unfamiliar with ancient mythology, you miss a lot of the story. I’ve also read Rowling’s other books, some written under an alias. She’s nothing short of brilliant and I stand with her.

I’ve never read a Harry Potter book or seen a movie but my adult age daughter did as a teen abd loves them all. Ms Rowling is a true leader for women and I’m enjoying her trolling the trolls on Twitter. She could never make another dollar (or pound) and she’s still set for life. She knows she’s right and isn’t afraid to mock those who try and cancel her.

J.K. Rowling has nobody but herself to blame for this disaster. Period.
Anyone with more than 6 working brain cells knows if you give the lie-berals a millimeter, they will not stop until you have given them 100 miles. She brought this on herself when she decided to announce that Dumbledore was homosexual. His character was never a sexual being in any of the books. This was just her way to show that she was a good "woke" lie-beral. And it blew up in her face when she refused to embrace the whole "trans" movement. Nope she gave them that homosexual millimeter. But since she wouldn't go full-on woketard, she had to be destroyed!!!
Even very successful writers who are lie-berals can't be accused of having any common sense. Like I said, she has nobody but herself to blame...

Rowling came up from nothing to become one of the wealthiest women in the world. The attacks on her IMO are simply because the accusers are seriously envious of her success. She worked hard, and while I am not a fan of the Potter books or the new game, I totally support her in other ways. You go J.K., this American is proud of you.

Well, "trans" is a psychological state of mind, and so is the fanatical hatred to stating that opinion.

What a bunch of overly sensitive, whiny little babies. The woman is entitled to her opinions. Nothing she’s said has physically hurt anyone, hasn’t taken anything from anyone, hasn’t caused anyone any hardships…she simply said something. Offered her opinion. Can she not have her own? Or does she have to think exactly the way these mental midgets think lest they go biserk. She’s a writer, that’s her life, now you idiots go get your own.

Rowling has more talent in one finger than all her critics combined.

Any and all criticism of J.K. Rowling is pure jealousy. We hadn't seen a writer of her talent and quality in decades. Six fantastic books and seven movies, all putting hollywood to shame in an era where they couldn't produce a good documentary on dung beetles.

The LGBTQ mafia is mad because Rowling said that women have their periods. Ohhhhh, so mean! How is that homophobic? She did not say LGBTQ people are bad or dismiss them in any way. They got their panties in a wad all by themselves because a bunch of oversensitive LGBTQ activists told them to be upset. It seems that once one "comes out" as LGBTQ they lose the ability to think rationally or for themselves. They become part of a BORG like mindset where everything must be done as an LGBTQ person, or else! If you think differently, you are a traitor to the cause and must be fully humiliated and ostricised from society. Rowling dared to question the activists queer mantra so sh must pay in their eyes.
