QAs we’ve seen all too often, some so-called Republican “leaders” are anything but when it comes to pushing back against the radical left’s woke agenda, which includes such bright ideas as defunding the police, implementing dangerous policies like bail reform, and teaching black children to view their white classmates as their oppressors. But in Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to be an unapologetic proponent of common-sense solutions that are expressly designed to reject the radical wokeness that has, in some parts of the country, slithered its way into public school systems, collegiate academia, government, the sports world, banking and the workplace, and beyond. DeSantis’ latest push against Woke Inc.

As if you needed anything to seal the deal about the fraudiness of green and socially conscious investments, Barron's has a report (free version here) about investors now fleeing wokester Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) investment funds, which bill themselves as "sustainable investments."
Investors yanked the most money out of U.S. sustainable funds in more than five years last quarter, withdrawing a net nearly $6.2 billion to round out a tough year for environmental, social, and governance strategies.
The net flow of money into U.S. sustainable mutual and exchange-traded funds has diminished steadily

Washington – The New Jersey man who admitted to spraying U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick with pepper spray during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack was sentenced to 80 months in prison on Friday in a Washington, D.C. courtroom packed with Sicknick's colleagues and fellow officers.
"I don't know what got into you," said federal Judge Thomas Hogan, as he imposed the yearslong prison sentence on Julian Khater, "somehow you got determined to push your way through the crowd."
Hogan also fined Khater $10,000. Sicknick died of natural causes a day after defending the Capitol during the Jan. 6 assault, the D.C. medical examiner's office announced last year.

Matt Taibbi just published installment number 15 in the Twitter files series. This one is about a bogus media fraud known as Hamilton 68.
If one goes by volume alone, this oft-cited neoliberal think-tank that spawned hundreds of fraudulent headlines and TV news segments may go down as the single greatest case of media fabulism in American history. Virtually every major news organization in America is implicated, including NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times and the Washington Post. Mother Jones alone did at least 14 stories pegged to the group’s “research.” Even fact-checking sites like Politifact and Snopes cited Hamilton 68 as sources.

Eight people were killed in a shooting in Jerusalem and ten were injured, Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Friday. The shooting took place at a synagogue, according to the ministry.
Israel's Magen David Adom emergency rescue services said the shooter was neutralized at the scene and that some of the injured are in critical condition.
Emergency services were responding to calls about a shooting in the city's Neve Yaakov neighborhood on Friday night, they also said. The incident comes one day after the deadliest day for Palestinians in the West Bank in over a year, according to CNN records, when Israeli forces killed nine Palestinians

The latest numbers from the Bureau of Economic Analysis show that the U.S. economy grew by 2.9 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, and 2.1 percent for 2022. While the White House was quick to take credit for the state of the nation’s economy, they might want to think twice. This latest report should have alarm bells ringing, not trumpets sounding.
That’s because economic growth is slowing down. Even the areas which contributed positively to gross domestic product (GDP) are not necessarily signs of prosperity. For example, business investment grew at only 1.4 percent in the fourth quarter, but that was almost entirely inventory growth. Nonresidential investment,

Dave Rubin, host of “The Rubin Report” got a great opportunity — to go behind the scenes with Elon Musk and walk through Twitter.
But first, he had to walk through San Francisco to get to the company’s headquarters–and that wasn’t a picnic, making his way through Nancy Pelosi’s city. Rubin said he spent two days talking to engineers, product managers, and Musk. He discovered what a “Rube Golberg” contraption Twitter was, and how hard Musk and his engineers were working to clean up all the mess that had been left. He was told he could write anything he wanted about the experience, as long as it was true.

Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk met with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries at the US Capitol in Washington on Thursday evening.
McCarthy, leaving the meeting with Musk in his office, declined to comment other than to say: "He came for my birthday." The California Republican turned 58 on Thursday.
After the meeting, Musk wrote on Twitter that he met with McCarthy and Jeffries "to discuss ensuring that this platform is fair to both parties." According to a source familiar with the matter, Jeffries met with McCarthy in part to receive a law enforcement briefing regarding Capitol Hill preparations in case there are protests

The Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and confirmed WEF goon Chrystia Freeland has determined that the American middle class “needs a pay cut.” Following an anecdote of an unnamed person who gave her the idea, she explicitly confirms her belief that the prescription for a middle-class wealth downgrade is the correct policy position but mentions the “very difficult” political and social sell to the middle class.
As we slide further down the slope into multinational technocracy, the rhetoric will gradually shift in this direction.
The “green” revolution and veganism and other energy and food restriction schemes began, if you can recall, with promises of economic expansion

The bankruptcy of crypto firm FTX could lead a bevy of companies with ties to Hollywood out in the cold.
Unsealed court filings released Thursday list the corporate creditors of the Sam Bankman-Fried founded crypto firm, and they include many blue chip companies in the technology and media sectors. Among the creditors are Comcast, the owner of NBCUniversal, Netflix, Fox Corp., Apple, CAA, and subsidiaries of Warner Bros. Discovery and Endeavor, among other firms. The companies’ presence in the filing implies that FTX owes all of them money, though precisely how much, and what for, remains unclear based on the filing.

Representative Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) announced Thursday that he will be launching a campaign for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s California seat in 2024.
“I look forward to campaigning hard in this race, meeting Californians where they are, and listening to what they want from their next Senator. I hope to earn their votes and their trust,” Schiff said in a statement.
Schiff was recently removed from the House Intelligence Committee by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) in response to the former’s conduct as a lead investigator during the Trump impeachment hearings.

In the weeks after Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Christmastime visit to Washington, U.S., German and other European leaders became locked in an increasingly ugly t-for-tat over whether to send tanks to Ukraine. As language got heated behind the scenes, neither the U.S. nor Germany would budge — even as the standoff exposed a rare breach between two of Kyiv’s biggest backers.
Ultimately, President Joe Biden decided it was more important to show a unified front and send the tanks — a move that could go down as one of the most consequential decisions in the multinational effort to arm Ukraine.
Biden concluded it was important to move in lockstep with an ally,
