Representative Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) announced Thursday that he will be launching a campaign for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s California seat in 2024.
“I look forward to campaigning hard in this race, meeting Californians where they are, and listening to what they want from their next Senator. I hope to earn their votes and their trust,” Schiff said in a statement.
Schiff was recently removed from the House Intelligence Committee by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) in response to the former’s conduct as a lead investigator during the Trump impeachment hearings.

He could easily win the Dim nomination. His history should be fun to run against. That said, California voters seem to be a special breed of stupid nowadays.

To the majority of California voters, being a lying, rotten, anti-American person who releases classified information are all seen as positive attributes.

Re #2, that is simply not true. The Dems have about 40% of the registered voters. Not even a simple majority.
Rumors that Californians are bad people are just that: rumors .Not based upon fact. Why do they need to do that? What does it achieve? I often wonder where those who spew them live. Oddly, they never mention their perfect states.

Adam Schiff has been elected to the House by a district that is largely Jewish and Armenian. He panders to them outrageously. He has never faced the reality that is a statewide election. I’d say almost any Dem could beat him. (N, not Swalwell.)

He's running against an almost equally reprehensible California Dem, Katie Clark. Her kid (not sure of the gender, nor is mom or the kid) was just picked up for Antifa rioting in Boston.
It would be nice if both of them would lose, but that might be expecting too much out of Californians, who continue to elect Democrats left and leftier.
Maybe somebody can do a nice parody ad of these two pencil neck geeks pushing DiFi in her wheelchair over the cliff.

# 7, would any other California Dem be any less detestable than Schiff?

Re #9, Rep. Katherine Clarke is from Massachusetts. She is the Democrat whip in the House. Her “daughter”, formerly her son, got in trouble in Boston.

No. 4 you must not have read the article.
FTA: Feinstein is currently the oldest sitting senator and is expected to announce her retirement in the coming months. However, on Wednesday, Feinstein did not add any clarity to the situation, noting that she would make a definitive statement about whether she’d run for re-election “probably in the coming months.”

DiFi is only 89. Was hoping she'd go for Strom Thurmond's record of being in the senate at age 100. Schiff for Brains is a liar. Guess that makes him qualified for office.

Schiff can do more damage if he's in the Senate. All in the name of the 'public interest'. After all, we must look out for the public's interest. Look at the history who has been elected in California: Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi, Newsome, Nader. Schiff has got to be the favorite.

The article mentions Barbara Lee (age 76) may throw her hat into the ring. She would probably skim off the Bay Area vote in a primary, along with South Central LA.

#5, you are so right! I have often said the problem with CA is that there too many non voters
(as in don’t bother to show up to vote) in this state. The republicans also need to play the same game as the democrats.

Katie Porter has an opportunity to badly damage Schiff. But just as Bernie Sanders played nice with Hillary, I doubt Porter will lay a glove on pencil neck. Schiff is an anointed ruling class democrat. Lower echelon dems are required to show deference.

Hey Diane, your compadres think you are too old to run.
You should run - the debates would be very entertaining.
