By now readers will have learned of the sabotage attack on the Kerch Bridge. It’s the longest bridge in Europe and provides a rail link from the southern Russian region of Krasnodar to Crimea. It spans the Kerch straits, which connect the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, with its important port of Mariupol: (maps)The bridge has both roadway as well as railroad sections, and it appears that one of the roadway sections was severed. Whether other structural damage occurred is not known for certain, but there are reports that rail traffic will be quickly restored. (snip) Reports are that the damage was caused by a truck bomb

Comments:

Much more in the article, which also talks about the cutting of two communication lines in Germany which caused the suspension of rail service in Northern Germany. We will see none of this is in the MSM.

First the gas pipe line and now a bridge. NATO has taken the fight to Russia directly. Putin is NOT going to like that and will escalate the conflict to nuclear levels very soon. Putin was rather restrained with Ukraine but NATO raised the stakes and the gloves are now off. Expect a massive retaliation soon to include the obliteration of the nuclear power plant in Ukraine. NATO is populated with complete woke morons that never think through their actions. NATO is doomed to be destroyed and I won't shed a tear.

Internet military simulation/gaming sites have been running missile attack scenarios against this bridge and adjacent ships in harbor for weeks and weeks. Their sims show that they can make it work with Harpoons adapted to MiG-29s.

Correction....ships are not "adjacent". But nearby on the other side of the peninsula. Remember in the Falklands war when suddenly British ships started blowing up? The Argies had something like four or six French Exocet air launch, multi-role cruise missiles in inventory and only about four of the French Super Etendard jet that could carry them. They figured it all out, rigged them up without (overt) French support and sank two ships, plus four more by conventional bombs dropped by one or two Douglas A-4 bombers at extreme range by very brave and very skilled Argie pilots. Two ships were sunk by Exocet cruise missiles from Super Etendard aircraft. Similar stuff could be done against the bridge, and if I were Putin, I wouldn't consider the ships at dockside in Sebastipol as safe, either. The Ukrainians are at least as capable and resourceful and brave as the Argies were way back then. Don't assume that all of the "amazing and impossible" stuff is some NATO op, and not just brave as hell, bordering on crazy Ukrainians with a FEW of something skillfully rigged up out of desperation that worked.

Jessie Waters had an interesting segment on the other day....I didn't know that deposits of lithium in Ukraine is the highest in the world...even more so than china...so NOW WE know why the war was started and why it continues...it's about lithium for batteries and who controls that commodity ...so let's call this the lithium war...just as the Middle East war was about oil...the ruling elites in this world are placing monopoly...and they want Boardwalk and Park Place no matter the cost to human lives....

Three Latino members of the Los Angeles City Council and a top county labor official held a conversation last fall that included racist remarks, derisive statements about their colleagues and council President Nury Martinez saying a white councilman handled his young Black son as though he were an “accessory,” according to a recording of the meeting reviewed by The Times. Martinez, while discussing Councilman Mike Bonin’s child, said, “Parece changuito,” or “He’s like a monkey,” soon afterward. A few minutes after Martinez discussed Bonin’s son, the topic of conversation moved to Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. George Gascón, who was facing growing political opposition. “F— that guy,” Martinez said,

A new policy was implemented last week by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which seeks to collect the addresses of gun purchasers in a bid to comply with new federal law. Federally licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) will now be required to provide the FBI with the personal addresses of individuals who attempt to make a purchase but are denied or have a delayed transaction. The FBI will also provide local law enforcement with details of failed transactions, which include delayed transactions, as well as the personal information of rejected individuals. Earlier, firearms dealers only had to provide a purchaser’s state of residence rather than their full address

A federal judge in Texas has issued a ruling that prevents federal mandates from imposing pronouns and unisex bathrooms on employers. In State of Texas v Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Matthew Kacsmaryk, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Amarillo, declared the March 2, 2021 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Civil Rights Guidance and June 15, 2021 EEOC guidance unlawful. However, the court stopped short of granting the state’s request for injunctive relief. “Title VII as interpreted in Bostock does not require such accommodations,” wrote Judge Kacsmaryk in his Oct. 1 decision.

Donald Trump is the kingmaker of the Republican Party, and for that reason alone, he remains the best choice for 2024 despite the firestorm of negative media coverage, censorship, and the looming threat of indictment, which have haunted him since being forced out of office in January 2021. In the time since Trump has been gone, Americans have watched their economy tank, their freedoms attacked, and we are now disconcertingly close to an out-and-out ground war with nuclear Russia. Meanwhile, Democrats plan to do irreparable damage to institutions (like the Supreme Court) that have checked the worst excesses of liberal hegemony. The military industrial complex, having been subdued in the

Florida’s law barring businesses from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination is likely legal, a federal appeals court has ruled. The law, passed in 2021, says that a business “may not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or postinfection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state.” “Florida’s statute is a regulation of economic conduct that only incidentally burdens speech, which does not implicate the First Amendment,” (snip) “And its burdens on interstate commerce do not exceed the benefits of furthering Florida’s substantial interests in protecting its residents from discrimination and invasions of privacy.”

A report emerged in September that said Chinese authorities have opened 110 police service centers outside of mainland China—including one in New York City—that repatriate Chinese people using coercion, according to a security policy expert, but which also may be used for sabotage or espionage. Frank Gaffney, the executive chairman at the Washington-based Center for Security Policy, said that as part of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) global transnational repression those service centers can be tools to conduct espionage and sabotage work. “The Chinese are not simply forcing people to go back to China and stand trial, but they may be giving them directions to do other things,” such as espionage, recruitment,

The outcry from corporate America came quickly, with hundreds of companies vowing to stop donations to lawmakers who would eventually be known by opponents as the "sedition caucus." While the backsliding began within months, two reports out in recent days show how most of those companies reversed course and resumed those donations. The reports come just weeks before midterm elections that will determine which party controls the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Yet, instead of hitting pause, recognizing the sensitive nature of such personal information and the harm releasing it could cause, Politico published it anyway. [Tweets]

Abortion allegations against Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker have roiled one of the country’s tightest races that could decide the majority in the now 50-50 chamber. The closeness of the race — Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) leads by 1.3 points in the RealClearPolitics polling average — means it could be swung by any bombshell report, and abortion is a key issue. But national Republicans are standing by Walker, who said the latest accusation against him is a “flat-out lie,” and if he wins, five factors might contribute.
