At this point in time I have no regard for the probity or competence of the Intelligence Community and neither, apparently, does Judge Aileen Cannon, who earlier this week ordered the appointment of a Special Master to review those documents seized in the Mar-a-Lago raid, which it claims are classified. The Department of Justice appears to have been surprised that it has lost credibility and filed a motion seeking a stay on that portion of the order and a Notice of Appeal to the Eleventh Circuit indicating its intention to file an interlocutory appeal.

I think Clarice hit the nail right on the head in this article. The FBI and DoJ are totally corrupt and many there need orange jumpsuits.

Clarice is right, again! She always points out what is important in the latest Motion filed by DOJ! I hope the Eleventh Circuit throws out their appeal! The more we see what DOJ and the FBI are trying to pull off, the more we think Trump is going to run, win and throw out a whole lot of folks in those Agencies!

Of course they do. The Intel agencies initiate the surveillance, searches and probes, are the first to see the raw data, interpret the data and they decide what version to pass on to the watch dogs in the government who think they are getting the story fresh and unaltered from the field. NSA and CIA have been corrupt since WW2, the FBI since Hoover realized he could climb the ladder on the backs of those on whom he had dirt.

Intelligence Community isn't even part of the Founding. It is an add-on, and therefore NOT with the authority to override the Judiciary or indeed, any of the three branches of Government. Executives can command them. Congress can command them. Judges can command them.
If there is an issue where two branches of government are at odds, then say so: "The Executive Branch requires this information be kept hidden for National Security". That's the way it used to be done. Then it is argued between the legitimate aspects of government in a public forum.
The Intelligence Community is subservient to the American People. If they think otherwise, they are committing Treason.

They do not have the law on their side......but they have the authority. If we do not stop this " they" will be in every town village and living room in America with their " authority".

I could not agree more with #4's observation. Very well said. Thank you.

No, the Intel is a subset of Executive and is AT BEST co-equal, NEVER above, NEVER, under any circumstances.

#8, I mostly agree, except that the IC cannot even be "at best co-equal" only a tool.
Many warned about the way the Patriot Act was already burgeoning in its extent and reach before the document was finalized, and it's probably worse than most of us even imagined. Not only has it become intrusive in our lives, but it also almost immediately became politically correct in the context of the foreign enemies it was established to protect us from, almost immediately one could not utter the words "Muslim" or "Islamic" terrorists.
The intelligence community has become completely politicized by one Party, as has, alas, the Justice Department. Just ponder how difficult it is for a non-Dem to get a fair trial/hearing in DC.
So many have gotten so rich and powerful that I fear we will not be able to demolish it

Show us that in the Constitution, you have 10 seconds, if you can't produce you will be arrested for TREASON, taken out to your own private firing squad and you get a firecracker instead of a cigarette.
