As RedState reported, excerpts from Joe Biden’s “MAGA speech” previewed a gross abuse of the Executive Office of the President. Sure enough, that’s exactly what was delivered as the president appeared in Philidelphia, standing in front of a blood-red background, flanked by Marines. Lines were crossed that can’t be uncrossed, from the use of the military as props in a blatantly political speech to Biden suggesting that nearly half the country is a “danger” to the republic. This was a speech that went far beyond anything seen in the modern era of presidential addresses.
Of course, because we are dealing with a decrepit, senile old man, things didn’t start off well.

Donald Trump is considering waiting until after the November midterms to launch a third presidential campaign as he navigates a widening array of legal troubles and mounting concerns that some of his hand-picked Senate candidates may be weaker than he once thought, sources familiar with his thinking tell CNN.
After months of eyeing Labor Day weekend as the target launch date for a 2024 campaign, Trump has spent the past few weeks backing away from that timeline following the FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago estate and an increased panic among Republicans that the party may not be in for the red wave it has long anticipated this November.
While his timeline

Democrat Mary Peltola has defeated Republican Sarah Palin in the special election for Alaska’s vacant House seat, a big upset over the former governor in the state’s first election under ranked-choice voting.
Peltola, a former state legislator who will become Alaska’s first indigenous member of Congress, defeated a special election field that included Palin and another Republican, Nick Begich III. The Democrat finished first in the initial tally and then won enough second-choice votes from Begich’s supporters to see off Palin, who had former President Donald Trump’s endorsement and previously won a statewide campaign in 2006.

As RedState reported, the DOJ dropped a filing on Tuesday evening in an attempt to deny the appointment of a special master regarding the documents seized during the now infamous Trump raid. In that filing was a photograph that set leftwing hearts a flutter, purporting to show “top secret” documents scattered on the floor of a Mar-a-Lago storage room.In reality, the documents were found in boxes per the DOJ’s own documentation. The DOJ knew what it was doing putting that photo out, though. They wanted to gin up more “the walls are closing in” outrage from the left, and sure enough, they got it. Social media was swamped

Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp continues to hold a decisive lead over Democrat Stacey Abrams in Georgia’s gubernatorial race, according to a poll published Tuesday.
A Trafalgar Group poll showed that of 1,079 likely general election voters, 50.6 percent would vote to reelect Kemp, who is running for his second term as governor. Abrams, running against the incumbent for the second time, only received 44.2 percent in the poll, six points behind Kemp.
The gubernatorial race poll is a good sign for Kemp’s reelection effort. The poll also showed that 1.6 percent would vote for another candidate, Shane Hazel, while 0.1 percent said, “other” and 3.5 percent were undecided.
The recent survey is another bad sign

President Joe Biden gave a little speech in front of an enthusiastic crowd of Democrats. The purpose of the speech was to attack Republicans and gin up support for Democrat candidates just in time for the midterms. Naturally, Biden brought up January 6, because what else do Democrats have at this point? He attempted a “gotcha moment” accusing Republicans of not actually being on the side of law enforcement if they’re not out there denouncing the January 6 incident at the Capitol.
“Let me say this to my MAGA Republican friends in Congress: Don’t tell me you support law enforcement if you won’t

Prosecutors obtained a search warrant for former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate after receiving evidence that there was “likely” an effort to conceal classified documents there in defiance of a grand jury subpoena, a new Justice Department court filing released Tuesday night said.
The 36-page filing was the department’s most detailed account yet of its evidence of obstruction of justice, raising concerns that Trump and his attorneys sought to mislead investigators about the sincerity and thoroughness of their effort to identify and return highly sensitive records to the government.

Washington - U.S. President Joe Biden's public approval rating fell modestly this week, a poor sign for his Democratic Party's hopes in the Nov. 8 midterm elections, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll completed on Tuesday.
The two-day national poll found that 38% of Americans approve of Biden's job performance.
While Biden's approval rating hit 41% last week, it has been mostly below 40% since mid-June despite a string of Democratic legislative victories that Biden's allies hope will help them defend their narrow congressional majorities in November. Democrats are expected to lose control

Wilkes-Barre, PA - President Joe Biden on Tuesday railed against the “MAGA Republicans in Congress” who have refused to condemn the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol and now are targeting the FBI as he tried to portray Democrats as the true pro-law enforcement party ahead of the November midterms.
In remarks initially billed as a crime-prevention speech, Biden seized on comments from allies of former President Donald Trump who have called for stripping funding from the FBI since it executed a search warrant at Trump’s Florida residence. Biden’s remarks were the first substantive defense he has made of the FBI since the Aug. 8 search

President Joe Biden got confused while delivering a speech promoting Democrat candidates in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
“Please please elect the Attorney General to the Senate, and elect that big ol’ boy to be governor,” Biden asked voters in the audience. Biden was clearly mistaken about what office each candidate was running for.
The attorney general is Josh Shapiro, running to be governor and the “big ol’ boy” is Lt Gov. John Fetterman, who is running for the Senate. Earlier in his speech, the president got it right as he praised Shapiro, who was present for the event.
“He’s going to make one hell of a governor,” Biden said, referring

President Joe Biden screamed, “I am determined to ban assault weapons in this country!” during a Tuesday speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Biden segued to “assault weapons” by talking about passing Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-TX) gun control package this summer. He built toward a crescendo as he claimed “the vast majority” of Republican members of Congress could not support Cornyn’s gun control because the NRA was against it.
Biden said, “Law enforcement supported [the ban], faith leaders and teachers supported it, young people in this country, like the students in this great university, support it, and the NRA and the vast majority of Congressional Republicans voted against it. But guess what,

The Washington Post is considering laying off around 10 percent of its newsroom in response to declining profits, according to a new report from the New York Times.
Fred Ryan, the Post‘s CEO, is said to have suggested cutting 100 positions after ad revenue in the first half of this year fell 15 percent as compared to last year, several people with knowledge fo the discussions told the Times. The cuts could be made through hiring freezes or layoffs, or a combination of the two.
A spokesman for the Post denied that the paper was going to be shrinking in size and suggested
