We now wait to see if any of the fact-checking and social media authorities call out CNN for altering news footage.
Here in the aftermath of Joe Biden’s bold, forceful, authoritative, badgering, hectoring, screeching, off-the-rails unPresidential speech on Thursday evening, there are a number of ways to see how poorly received this was. On content alone, this was quite the disturbing delivery, as we watched our president devolve into a hysteric, carping and complaining about Republicans and leveling accusatory hyperbole like we have not seen from the White House prior.

Presidential historian Michael Beschloss said Thursday on MSNBC’s “All In” that he was part of a group of historians that advised Presidentii Joe Biden that democracy was in danger like it was before the Civil War and World War II.
Hayes said, “President Joe Biden just delivered an argument on behalf of American democracy. The speech is a response to the acute threat Donald Trump and what he calls MAGA Republicans continue to present to the future of the American experiment following his attempted coup and as they quite openly plot another.” He added, “Biden was reportedly inspired in part by a closed-door meeting with a group of historians

Decline in support for the “defund the police” movement signals that “racial equity is a tertiary issue,” according to a New York Times (NYT) op-ed mourning the apparent “death” of the issue, regretting it had not “caught on broadly enough,” and warning Americans will yet “regret” rejecting it.
The Wednesday New York Times essay titled “‘Defund the Police’ Is Dead. Now What?” and penned by left-wing opinion columnist Charles M. Blow, claimed, “both the slogan and the substance” of the “defund the police” movement, “appears to be dead.” “Its opponents beat it to death, not that it was ever wildly popular,” he wrote.

Whenever political leaders lose all political capital due to their misgovernance and have no real issues to base their campaign on, they often resort to focusing on the symbolic — usually referring to "the soul of the nation."
This happened before in the U.S., it happened in India, it happened in the U.K. and it happened again in the U.S.
This is most typical of the left.
Instead of being humble and conceding their mistakes, they attack voters for thinking of voting against them while overlooking the myriad catastrophes they presided over. They often blame their opponents for what they are guilty of — bigotry, violence — and then end with the "soul" plea.

A federal judge on Friday unsealed a more detailed inventory of what the FBI seized in the search of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate last month.
The judge, who is considering the Trump legal team's request to name a third party to review the materials, ordered the release in a court hearing in Florida Thursday. Judge Aileen Cannon also ordered unsealed a status review of the records seized during the Aug. 8 search of Mar-a-Lago. She has not yet ruled on the question of a review by an independent "special master." The expanded property list gives further detail of the volume of material seized by agents

On Thursday afternoon, White House reporters rallied from the embarrassing effort many gave the day prior in lobbying softballs to inept Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and showed skepticism that President Biden’s Thursday night address on how the American right poses a threat to the country wouldn’t be political.
Reuters’s Jeff Mason was one of those reporters who redeemed himself, starting with a short, Doocy-like question: “Is tonight a political speech?”
Jean-Pierre sowed her fate when she immediately show back: “No. It’s not a political speech. This is an opportunity

Illuminated with blood-red lights, draped in inky shadows, and flanked by U.S. Marines, President Biden launched into an angry screed Thursday night, using dangerous and inciting rhetoric to attack so-called “MAGA Republicans.” It was a terrifying sight that drew praise and flowery language from the “journalists” of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 as they lauded the “full frontal attack” and asserted he was “reclaiming patriotism.”
“President Biden finishing a 24-minute speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. He said as he stands there tonight, equality and democracy are under assault and he left no doubt whom he believes it is under assault by,” fill-in host John Berman boasted

Joe Biden harangued and threatened the nation for 20 minutes on national TV on Thursday in a speech that will be remembered for its vicious rhetoric and blood-red lighting. In the highly partisan speech, Biden railed against MAGA America like there was no tomorrow—he used the words “MAGA Republicans” 11 times in the first 12 minutes. Some of the most-used words in the speech were: violence, darkness, threat, and politics. The most-used word was “democracy,” the Marxist-leaning crowd’s favorite term of derision for our republic.
But that’s all Joe Biden’s got right now. By nearly every metric, America is worse off than it was during the Trump years

When President Joe Biden delivered a prime-time address in Philadelphia on Thursday, the dark red setting generated a great deal of buzz.
Biden's speech, in which he sought to frame November's midterm elections as a continuation of his 2020 cycle's "battle for the soul of the nation" and portrayed MAGA forces, led by former President Donald Trump and his allies, as being determined to take the country backward, was delivered outside Independence Hall. Biden, who walked in with first lady Jill Biden, was framed on either side by a standing Marine and red lights cast upon a brick wall and American flags.

It didn't take long after Biden finished his rancid, combative remarks in Philadelphia for the reviews of the latest divisive screed from "Mr. Unity" to come in, and they predictably were not favorable from those among the 70 million Americans he declared were hatefully working to bring about the end of democracy: In addition to the caustic content of Biden's message — vote for the people I say or you're a fascist — the staging was also of note, and not just the ominous red hue that bathed the sides of Independence Hall. No, the two Marines standing at attention behind the president grabbed viewers' eyes.

As RedState reported, excerpts from Joe Biden’s “MAGA speech” previewed a gross abuse of the Executive Office of the President. Sure enough, that’s exactly what was delivered as the president appeared in Philidelphia, standing in front of a blood-red background, flanked by Marines. Lines were crossed that can’t be uncrossed, from the use of the military as props in a blatantly political speech to Biden suggesting that nearly half the country is a “danger” to the republic. This was a speech that went far beyond anything seen in the modern era of presidential addresses.
Of course, because we are dealing with a decrepit, senile old man, things didn’t start off well.

Donald Trump is considering waiting until after the November midterms to launch a third presidential campaign as he navigates a widening array of legal troubles and mounting concerns that some of his hand-picked Senate candidates may be weaker than he once thought, sources familiar with his thinking tell CNN.
After months of eyeing Labor Day weekend as the target launch date for a 2024 campaign, Trump has spent the past few weeks backing away from that timeline following the FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago estate and an increased panic among Republicans that the party may not be in for the red wave it has long anticipated this November.
While his timeline
