The FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, had “no legal basis,” according to a Wall Street Journal op-ed by former White House and Department of Justice lawyers David B. Rivkin Jr. and Lee A. Casey. In their op-ed, Rivkin and Casey argue that the Presidential Records Act of 1978 allowed Trump to have the records allegedly in his possession, and that the general statutes cited in the search warrant — such as the Espionage Act — do not override it. The warrant authorized the FBI to seize “all physical documents and records constituting evidence, contraband, fruits of crime, or other items illegally possessed in violation of

It was blatantly illegal, but now they have the documents, and intend to share them with the Senate Gang of Eight, other Trump prosecutors, and others. All will be leaked to the WaPo and NYTs, who will get pulitzers for their creative writings. Nothing will be done to the DOJ or FBI, and that is ok with the Republican Rino's.

Butt the FBI found three trillion classified documents, and Trump had Putey over to photograph each and every one of them. Putey asked Trump why didn't he download all of them while in the Whitehouse, and Trump slapped his forehead and said, "Why didn't I think of that!".

Technically, the FBI could conduct a raid One Old House Lane in Chappaqua and confiscate all of the White House furniture and silverware stolen by the grifters from Arkansas.

Justice Department officials assume they can't rely on what former President Donald Trump's lawyers say given Trump's volatility as a client. That's according to The New York Times, which reported that department officials had been in communication with Trump's representatives for months while trying to recover hundreds of pages of government records that were improperly moved from the White House to Mar-a-Lago after Trump left office. The report cited Justice Department officials as saying they worked under the assumption that Trump's lawyers couldn't "speak with authority" for him because he could change his mind at the drop of a hat

Many White House staffers will likely be eligible for President Biden’s newly unveiled student-loan “forgiveness” plan, which will transfer up to $10,000 in student debt from individuals making less than $125,000 to the American public. A White House report that detailed the pay of more than 470 staffers last month showed that roughly half of current White House employees make $90,000 or less per year, with the other half making more than $100,000. More than 300 staffers on the list earn less than the $125,000 threshold. It is not clear how many White House staffers have student-loan balances. One-in-five White House aides

“Freedom is on the line this November,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said on Tuesday night, urging Floridians to “put on the full armor of God” to fight the “destructive agenda of Joe Biden and his number one ally in Florida, Charlie Crist.” DeSantis on Tuesday night addressed a crowd of supporters in Hialeah, as he has largely focused on school board races across the state in the time leading up to the primary. DeSantis endorsed over two dozen candidates who champion his pro-parents, pro-students school agenda — something Crist adamantly stands against. However, the results show that DeSantis’s message is resonating with voters across the state,

With a long line of political mismanagement finally coming to a head across the European continent, France’s President Emmanuel Macron has now said that his country faces what he calls the “end of abundance”, something he fears could disrupt the stability of his nation. Macron’s warning comes amid growing political panic in neighbouring Germany, where many political bigwigs are now fearing that the country faces a future of riots and public upheaval

President Joe Biden is set to “forgive” up to $10,000 in federal student debt for those making under $125,000 annually, and $20,000 for Pell grant recipients, transferring the cost of the loans to the American public, the White House announced Wednesday. Biden’s decision marks the first time a president has canceled federal student-loan debt in such a broad capacity, and comes months before the midterm elections. He had campaigned on canceling up to $10,000 per borrower during the presidential race, but there was no mention of an income cap. Biden is also set to extend

Florida flipped multiple major school boards from liberal to conservative Tuesday evening, continuing a nationwide trend of parents taking back control of public schools. Florida school board elections have been a major political battleground this cycle, with big names like Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Rep. While primary elections occurred in Florida, New York, and Oklahoma Tuesday, Florida has general elections for school boards, meaning the winners will be the official members of the boards.

Houston, Texas — The governor and state comptroller of Texas took steps on Tuesday to force Harris County to reinstate millions of dollars stripped from the county’s constable offices or face consequences. The action comes after two constables’ offices filed complaints regarding the police-defunding action taken the county’s commissioners court. Harris County Commissioners Court implemented a policy to stop constables from automatically rolling over funds from one fiscal year to the next, Fox 26 reported. The policy change resulted in the movement of more than $3 million from law enforcement funds to the general fund.

Crist, who once served as Florida’s governor as a Republican, jumped into the race in advance of his St. Petersburg-area congressional seat being altered due to redistricting. He’ll have major obstacles as he attempts to unseat DeSantis, a popular governor with more than $132 million in his campaign war chest and an electoral landscape that favors Republicans.

He reminded me that when engaged in a philosophical debate, as opposed to the 9th grade Debating Challenge, the point is not simply to vanquish one’s opponent but to find the truth. In order to do the former one may use any means fair or foul to destroy the opponent. For the latter one must do the exact opposite and represent one’s opponent’s position in the strongest terms possible.

No doubt still sulking over the Roe v. Wade reversal — the opening sentence of their recent op-ed published in The New York Times is, “When liberals lose at the Supreme Court — as they increasingly have over the past half-century” — two Ivy League professors laid out their claims for an America without Constitutional limitations. They suggest, “the way to seek real freedom will be to use procedures consistent with popular rule.” Of course, the piece is polished sewage: tyranny of the majority is a very real, and very dangerous threat to the individual, (perhaps they should go read Federalist 10, but they likely wouldn’t understand that either).
