Joe Manchin, the Democratic U.S. senator from West Virginia, may finally see the writing on the wall and realize his time in politics is coming to an end. Manchin, who held onto his Senate seat by just over 3 percent during his most recent reelection bid, is likely to squander any of the goodwill he has generated among his constituents with his recently declared support for the latest reconciliation bill in the Senate.
After presenting himself as a foil to many of the Biden administration’s leftist legislative goals, Manchin has come to an agreement with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer about dedicating “hundreds of billions” of federal

Manchin feathered his nest with this last grand deal. The money will flow to phony baloney consulting firms owned by his relatives. He's checking out at the end of this term...just has to put his feet up on his desk and wait for his new gig as a Chicom foreign agent. Joe knows how the game is played. Next year, it's McConnell turn.

And we were beginning to believe his lies that he was for West Virginia, against tax hikes, etc. but old Joe Manchin was just holding out for a better deal so he could betray his voters. What a scummy liar. And he's not a good liar, just a greasy not so slick liar.
Please West Virginia, get rid of this two-faced, back stabbing lying politician that will sell you out for 30 pieces of silver.

ONE MORE TIME: Pres. Trump campaigned HEAVILY against cave-in Joe last time. Mistake. He got a gas pipeline for his state and we got the shaft...again. He's not up until 2024 and he'll stroll back in without even trying.

Like #4, I think Manchin is eyeing a run for the presidency and I think Chuckie promised him support if he backed the bill. Like him or not, Schumer has a lot of power in the back rooms of the Rat party.

Joe "manchild" Manchin was in a tough pickle... Dems are going to obliterate the single industry in his State, namely, coal, over his dead body need be, so he avoided the fate to get a bigger "yacht," and sail away to a place where no one knows his shame. He should have known that Obama would make good on his promise to destroy the coal industry.

There is NO good result from electing a dem, no matter how "good" you think they are. It will just be another vote for destroying the country. Out of self interest, Manchin has helped out the Republicans a few times. Thanks. Now goodbye.
Republican RINOs as well. They may vote for most Republican issues but you can't count on them when the chips are down. Primary out the RINOs. That helps to stiffen the backs of the wobbly ones as well.

That promised new pipeline will be handy for the increased extraction of coal seam gas in West Virginia. I haven't read the legislation so I don't know what else he got for for himself or his state in return for his vote. There's probably more.

He first denied the bill increased any taxes. Then he admitted the bill is raising taxes but justified it as merely "closing a loophole."
Nevertheless he deserves great credit for stopping the DC Democrats from taking over all elections, local state and federal.

I do hope that he is done. Heard his rubbish talk in the morning where he answered as if a couple of marbles are missing in the upstairs. Then he claimed the most ridiculous nonsense that he would be digging for oil, or be getting the permission to do so.....in short he really sounded like a 23 year old who does not know what he is babbling about. I guess Schumer gave him the talking points and he figured it would work on TV.
I am sick of this guy. It's all about him and his finger in the air to see which direction the wind is blowing. He is a gas bag and I hope he gets thrown out of office as quickly as possible.

Whoever runs against JoeM just needs to point out that (looking at the future) “Green” energy simply means another way to confiscate and transfer gigantic amounts of treasure from hard working Americans directly into the pockets of the Crooked Politicians. Moreover, the fact that all life on earth is CARBON based, and that God made this incredible planet with the means to produce energy to feed, house, clothe and warm/cool its inhabitants is NOT the pariah that the Econazis are making it out to be. It is time that we call this bluff and fight back with every ounce of force that we can muster, lest we become enslaved by these criminals intent on bankrupting us.

Sign the bill to see what's in it, Joe Manchin finally settled on a price with Chuck. I'm tired of this dumb democrat 'it's all about me' blowhard. Manchin showed his true colors and its democrat colors through and through to think Joe Manchin was a straight up guy turned out to be a democrat snake all the time.
I think Manchin is jockeying for a run at president because of name recognition but he would have to run as a RINO. FJM

Don’t be too sure that he will be reelected in WV in 2024. A lot of Americans tend to think of the people in that state as being inbred rubes living in shacks in the Appalachians. Not so. I lived there 1986-1995 when the state was solid blue due to the coal miners’ unions. Then along came 0bama and Hillary who vowed to shut down the coal industry and throw the miners out of work. Now the state is red and the more the left goes green, the more the state will go red.

Manchin just declared himself a squish— talking tough on NOT supporting Build Back Broke but now supporting all sorts of things TOTALLY UNRELATED to what he said.
Poppy Bush fell for the same thing and unleashed H. Ross Perot giving U.S. two terms of corrupt BJ Clinton.
From “read my lips” onward we have seen the DEVASTATION that happens with inflationary spending RUINING the economy and the value of the dollar becoming WORTH LESS now to the point that average Americans cannot afford basic needs, especially “seasoned citizens” on fixed incomes!!
Time to begin the long and arduous task of going RED — Remove Every Democrat and RINO “Republicans” who don’t give a damn about the people they represent like Yertle the Turtle and his followers.
Even if Manchin were to flip to the Republican Party he would just be another RINO, worthless. He got bought off— from JoeBamaVegetableBiteMe offering his wife a $160,000 government job to now this!

Since West Virginia has one of the largest heroin epidemics I'm not sure the fascist Democrat voters can overcome the stereotype. Manchin's enticement (enrichment) to support "green energy" will further kill the state economy and make worse what Biden's handlers have started. But can the drugged up voters make a correlation? Probably good for Manchin that they can't.

Manchin was a snake, is a snake and always will be a snake. He cares not one whit for WV or the US. He cares for power, money, and himself. He will try and become the democrat candidate for president and if not will happily lie his way to another term.
4 people like this.
At least a year ago Manchin was making noise about becoming WV governor again which would give him a graceful retreat from DC no matter who held power in Congress or the White House.
He may have reconsidered this in his most recent sellout as the swamp gas claims all.
I know him personally and he's not a bad guy - but don't many people say that about politicians they know? But he suffers from the disease of look-at-me-but-don't-ask-any-tough-questions. When his obvious duplicity is exposed he throws a tantrum when confronted about it.
Coal gets all the headlines but in WV a candidate's viability starts and stops with gun rights. With due respect to posters above, that is what lost Gore the state and its few but crucial electoral votes in 2000 and gun rights are what have taken the state to deep red and the most fervently anti-Biden state in the union.
Manchin knows this and touts his gun-rights positions every chance he gets (eg shooting a shotgun in a commercial). Every other WV pol knows it also. Unfortunately, being strongly pro-gun also gets him out of numerous other political jams like this one. He did attempt to combat Obama's insane anti-coal policies but, on the other hand, voted for Obamacare after refusing to announce his position when he was a candidate.

Ever since I was a little boy growing up in WV during the 70s and 80s I've come to know how corrupt democrats are. Thanks to Robert KKKKKK Byrd who was old back then and that dullard John D "Jay" Rockefeller XVI who if it wasn't for his great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandpa John D Rockefeller's billions he'd been stocking shelves at Murphy's Mart. I knew that Joe Manchin was a lying, duplicitous, crony crap weasel because he's a democrat. Look at him now: Mitch began life as a sickly boy from Kentucky. After dumping his first wife and family, he married Elaine and has been on easy street ever since. What puzzles me is that no one in KY has figured this out!! What also puzzles me is what does Elaine Chou see in old Mitchie-Babes?
