Democrats Discover Another ‘Threat to Democracy’

Before departing for its summer recess, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to take up Moore v. Harper, a redistricting dispute between North Carolina’s legislature and Supreme Court. The latter struck down two congressional maps enacted by the former and then imposed its own redistricting scheme. The North Carolina General Assembly petitioned SCOTUS to rule that this violated the U.S. Constitution. Predictably, the mere fact that the justices agreed to hear the case at all has produced panic among Democrats and a deluge of dire predictions about the demise of democracy.

The biggest threat to any Democratic Republic or any other form of representative government is the criminality of the Democrat Party and other such.

Wow, SCOTUS may restrict the legislative actions of a lower court, how novel an idea. Judicial bodies have no business being legislatures, they are judicial not executive nor legislative bodies. It's not rocket science.

The correct ruling by the Supreme Court would be that the state Supreme Court CAN rule a redistricting map unconstitutional, but can NOT replace such a map with one of their own. The state supreme court may only send the map back to the legislature to be redrawn.

Keep this in mind - when the left uses the word “democracy” it is code for “democrat party power”. If you remember that, everything that they do becomes clear.

The PA Supreme Court is corrupt and fully owned by the Democrat Party. They ruled against redistricting by the Republicans, and imposed their electoral district map. And they ruled against the Republican legislature when it sued the Democrat Secretary of State and Governor Wolfe, who were unilaterally making major changes to election laws without legislative law, as requires by both PA and US Constitutions. If not for the PA Supreme Court, the Democrats would have been unable to steal the 2020 Election in PA.

"Threats to democracy" are of zero interest, since we have no democracy. A threat to the republic would be a big thing. Democrats are the biggest threat to our republic.

Lindsey Graham accused Fulton County DA Fani Willis of “playing politics” with her subpoena in an investigation of the 2020 election. Yesterday, a judge agreed with Graham in general about the Democrat DA’s bias, if not specifically in regard to the subpoena for Graham. A Fulton County judge blocked Willis from investigating a leading GOP candidate in an alleged “fake elector” scheme, because Willis not only endorsed his Democratic rival at the same time she launched the probe but also held a fundraiser for him a few months later: A judge ruled that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her staff cannot question Georgia’s Republican pick for lieutenant governor

Author Jeffrey Frank has written two biographies of American presidents, one about Harry S. Truman and another about the relationship between Dwight D. Eisenhower and his Vice President Richard Nixon. He draws on that knowledge of history to argue that President Biden is doing a poor job preparing VP Harris to succeed him. Vice President Kamala Harris, who was a first-term senator from California before entering the White House, hasn’t been given the sort of immersive experiences or sustained, high-profile tasks that would deepen and broaden her expertise in ways Americans could see and appreciate. In the modern era, of course, a 68-day trip for a vice president would be laughable.

Hollywood comedians seem to have forgotten how to be funny when it comes to liberal politicians. Jimmy Kimmel, for example, has long since given up on the concept, becoming instead simply a mouthpiece for the Democrats and whatever their latest narrative is. He even “interviewed” Joe Biden where Biden descended into delusion, pushing false claims on his show. But Kimmel had former Saturday Night Live legend Dana Carvey stand in for him and Carvey was willing to mock Joe Biden with some real comedy when Kimmel is not. First, he did some of his funny old impressions like George H.W. Bush (“not gonna do it”) and the Church Lady.

A federal appeals court overturned a ruling by a lower court to allow Georgia’s heartbeat law to go into effect immediately. Normally, the law would not go into effect for weeks after the ruling but the court issued a second order allowing the law to go into effect immediately. The law is one that is from 2019. It had been banned from taking effect until now. It is one that states that abortions are not allowed once a heartbeat is detected. This can happen as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. There are exceptions for rape and incest, as long as a police report is filed,

Has Joe Biden become so unpopular that late-night comics might actually move away from their clapter production and start being funny again? Bill Maher made this transition months ago, but the rest of the late-night comics have been as loathe to target Biden for pointed political jokes as they were with Barack Obama. Or so it has seemed, anyway; late-night TV comedy has been pointless for well over a decade as it went from being funny to being didactic. However, it appears that Joe Biden’s infamous fist-bump with Mohammed Bin Salman shook loose some ancient instincts on CBS’ Late Night.

It’s being called the Great Realignment. Allahpundit mentioned it yesterday at the end of this post. In short, the most recent NY Times polls shows that Democrats have more support among college-educated whites than they do among minorities. In a piece about this phenomenon for Axios, Josh Kraushaar writes:Shifts in the demographics of the two parties’ supporters — taking place before our eyes — are arguably the biggest political story of our time… Democrats are statistically tied with Republicans among Hispanics on the generic congressional ballot, according to a New York Times-Siena College poll out this week. Dems held a 47-point edge with Hispanics during the 2018 midterms…

The Democrats badly need to consolidate their 2020 gains in Georgia. Their tiny majority in the U.S. Senate may well stand or fall based on the fate of Sen. Raphael Warnock’s reelection bid. Moreover, they want Stacey Abrams in the Governor’s Mansion because they need to control how the Peach State’s election integrity law is enforced in 2024. Considering her frequent denunciations of the statute, strict adherence to its provisions would hardly be her top priority as Governor. It appears unlikely, however, that Georgia’s voters intend to entrust her with that responsibility.

Don’t go, Boss! That’s my strong advice to President Trump as he prepares to deliver a speech in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday at his alleged “think tank,” the America First Policy Institute (AFPI).
