So what did we learn from the final “cliffhanger” season finale of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the Capitol? Of course, the cast hopes to be renewed for another season and promised to be “baaack!” in September. Well, first, the Democrats of both parties are interested only in convincing people not to vote for Trump again. They’re not so much interested in improving security at the Capitol or improving communications or lines of cooperation among security agencies involved. Even the handling of the six permits issued by the U.S. Capitol could be improved, but that’s not interesting.

A previously unnoticed Proud Boys member, Robert Fussell, has shredded conspiracy theories about January 6 pushed by the House January 6 Select Committee and federal prosecutors
Journalist Carter Walker of Pennsylvania’s Lancaster Online newspaper punches far above the paper’s fighting weight. Walker reported on July 7 that Robert Fussell revealed himself to be the third Proud Boys member that the federal prosecutors were trying to find in their conspiracy theory of a “seditious conspiracy.”

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin suggested that abortion bans in some states could actually violate religious beliefs in a column on Sunday.
Rubin introduced the subject by referencing a lawsuit brought up by the Jewish Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor against the 15-week abortion ban in Florida. The congregation argued that Jewish law "does not consider life to begin at conception or at 15 weeks" and refusing an abortion could violate their beliefs.
Though Rubin questioned whether this would sufficiently infringe on "First Amendment rights and the state constitution’s free-exercise clause," she still considered the issue "important."
"In any event, this is an issue the forced-birth crowd should care about."
