In 2020, according to exit polls, Joe Biden won the Catholic vote by five percentage points over Donald Trump. But Biden “has lost significant ground with Catholics since his election,” reports Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics. Citing “findings in the latest survey of Catholic voter mood by RealClear Opinion Research in partnership with Catholic-themed television network EWTN,” Crabtree writes that now “just 47% of Catholics approve of Biden’s job performance, while 53% disapprove.”
Biden remains popular with Hispanic Catholics — “Biden’s approval rating among Latino Catholics stands at an impressive 59%,” writes Crabtree — but his support among white Catholics has sharply declined and stands at a mere 36 percent.

Was it Pelosi who recently said something akin to "I'm Catholic when I am in the Church"? I think that revels the attitude of many categories of "cafeteria" Americans these days.

As a Catholic, I find it hard to understand how anyone could vote for people like Biden and Pelosi loudly espouse opinions that go against very clear and basic Catholic teachings.

I didn't know Catholics were a voting bloc. I didn't get the memo. Americans with any brains are abandoning Biden and the radical Democrat party. Sad thing is, half the radical demands have at least the implicit blessing of Pope Francis and many of the American bishops...and one wonders why church attendance is falling.

Attended an 8:30 a.m. mass this morning and an eleven o'clock mass last Sunday - so early and later. At neither mass was I impressed with the number of those attending. My daughter guessed last Sunday it was because there is an 8 a.m. mass at that church, and most probably a lot of people went early and then went to the Cape. Nah. I think Catholics are deserting their faith. Forget about Biden who seems to have already deserted his.
In politics and in the Church, we need a reshuffling of those at the top. Retire those in both institutions who are not faith-filled - especially, in the Church, and maybe we could finally have the new springtime they promised us.

FTA: "...Biden remains popular with Hispanic Catholics — “Biden’s approval rating among Latino Catholics stands at an impressive 59%,” writes Crabtree — but his support among white Catholics has sharply declined and stands at a mere 36 percent."
"Hispanic" and "white" are not a dichotomy.
Also, if they broke the artificially-constructed ethnic/race/color group "Hispanic" (aka "Latino") down into its more realistic component parts, I don't think Mexican Texans would be at 59% approval for Biden.

There are Catholics who faithfully follow their church, and then there are catholics who could not find their local church with a GPS system. The former do not support Biden, the latter are irrelevant.

As a Catholic i can say that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are not Catholics in spite of what they claim. They are Baby killing Apostates. Their religion is the Democrat party, Their God is money. Their saviors are the ignorant cult members whop still vote for them.

None of this polling makes a distinction between nominal Catholics (CINO's) and those serious about observing their faith. The prevalence of the former in the U.S. explains Biden's relatively high approval rating within the "Catholic" voter category.
