The Supreme Court ruling Thursday that reined in the Environmental Protection Agency‘s power to regulate climate change was a win for conservatives who have long sought to shrink the “administrative state,” a power federal agencies wield over large swaths of the U.S. economy and everyday life.
But environmental experts and advocates have warned that it could have far-reaching implications for both combating climate change and how the federal government sets other regulations.
“The court has placed its thumb on the scales — an anti-regulatory thumb — that’s going to make it much more difficult for agencies to regulate,”

Agencies' business is to enforce laws passed by Congress. SCOTUS didn't put their thumb on the scales. They observed the EPA was messing with powers reserved for Congress, and slapped THEIR fingers.

#2. They say “harder to regulate” like it’s a bad thing.
We’re supposed to have a government “of the people”, not government fiat.
About time.

This effectively causes a goobernment shutdown. Now that unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats, can't dictate policies and destroy our lives without Congressional legislation, nothing will be done by our goobernment. The only way to start goobernment operations is for Congress to actually do its job. And we all know Dracula in sunlight has a better than our Congress actually doing its job.

Five great rulings in one session. Truly historic.
Thank you, President Trump!
1. New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen, - carrying a gun is a constitutional right.
2. Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, - abortion is a matter for the states.
3. Carson v. Makin - states may not withold tuition aid from religious schools.
4. Kennedy v. Bremerton School District - a coach can pray in public after a football game.
5. West Virginia v. EPA - Executive Branch regulatory bureaucracies cannot legislate.
More history in those five rulings, released in a couple of weeks than happens in most decades. Excellent news.

Long overdue. The question now is whether the administration will heel, or ignore.

Many of us have long stated that there is nothing in the constitution that permits (or forbids) Congress to delegate its authority to the administrative state. The Supreme Court is now stating that legislating being performed by the administrative state (at least by the EPA) needs to be performed by the legislative branch of government. This is a big win for the people of the United States of America.

The Left wants Govt agencies to, in essence, make laws. The S.C. said NO WAY.

I hope the SCOTUS conservative justices have hired plenty of private security. Many, many Marxist wingnuts would jump at the chance of killing them now.

Re #15, I was discussing this on the phone this AM with a friend, and he is worried that there will be a real effort to assassinate one or more justices by the extreme leftists now.
I hope he is wrong, and I hope that there is good security in place for the justices.

For decades, progressives have been getting things that they couldn't pass legislatively through a corrupted SCOTUS that decided that THEY were the ultimate authority. FINALLY we have SCOTUS justices that say, "Enough!". The People's elected Congress should pass laws for the important things they want. It they cannot muster the political strength to do something, the People have NOT given them the power to do so and so it should NOT be done, no matter how much the losers whine. Chucky Scummer only needs to win enough votes in Congress to pass the legislation he wants. If he can't, he should shut up. It is the failure of the dems to make their case and get elected. That is because the case for what they want is irrational and for the most part, the American People aren't that stupid.
