Greenie policies have destroyed Sri Lanka and Pakistan, and they destroy pretty much any economy wherever they go. The revolt has now hit the Netherlands. According to RedState: You won’t see it on any of the alphabet networks, but a protest movement is exploding in the Netherlands after the government moved to shut down farms in order to “fight” climate change. The contentious move, pushed by the World Economic Forum, was enacted as part of an EU agreement that seeks to limit the release of nitrogen. The Dutch have certainly earned their reputation for being stubborn. Imagine insisting upon growing enough food to feed your families and countrymen. If we were to dump piles and piles of horse and cow manure on Washington, who would notice?

Green technology is no longer unproven. It's been proven to be unreliable, fiscally unsustainable & underwhelming. Tell a green that their windmills kill millions of birds and the American Eagles and they'll give you a blank stare. God Bless the Dutch farmers!!! Funny, the communists always thought that the people would revolt for them but it's MAGA and the Candian Truckers and the Dutch farmers revolting from the government & social elitists.

Maybe to fight climate change the Netherlands can remove all their dikes and let the sea re-claim half the country and the rest can go back to peat bogs which can absorb CO2.

we have been fortunate to date. China, India, Japan, S Africa, Germany and many other countries have suffered or are suffering blackouts due to switching too much power generation to unreliable green sources. It will like happen in TX and CA before the summer ends. NPR recently excitedly reported that California operated several hours soley on wind and solar recently - which was a flat out lie. And what happened when the wind laid down and the sun set? Battery power provided 2% of kali energy needs for 4 hours.

I once dated a Dutch gentleman. He was born on a rubber plantation in the East Indies. (Ever play Monopoly in Dutch?) He was LAPD and a good cop. He knew how to handle people without confrontation. Yes, he was stubborn and unmovable. He was the only beau I remained friends with, and unfortunately he died young in his 40's in a mountain auto accident. I'm glad he didn't live to see his beloved Netherlands under fascists rule. Up the rebels!

There is a senile old political goat fronting our nation who is afraid of a former barmaid that promotes the green movement. The only thing I want to ask is how do we get our money back from the dark hole called renewable green energy which is anything but renewable or cheap. How do we get ourselves into these situations that suddenly take over? We cannot become a nation that runs on batteries and abandon the only true gift of fossil fuel.

The Dutch & EU Government is determined to starve and freeze their populations to death. They are not permitted to produce food using safe modern methods. They would rather people starve than grow fertilizer/pesticide needy produce and have methane producing livestock. Maybe we should all just eat weeds, seaweed, grass and dead people. Then, we can't use plentiful fossil fuels like natural gas, oil, or coal to heat homes or produce electricity. Even clean nuclear power is bad. Undependable solar and bird killing wind turbines take up more land and produce a fraction of the power. They are not much good in the winter when covered with ice and snow and people are freezing. On the bright side, the people may have already starved to death before they freeze to death.

Most of us would agree with many of the aspects of Western leftists’ utopian objectives: A world at peace, disease, and starvation eradicated, and humanity living in harmony with Mother Nature. It all sounds wonderful, no doubt. Just about every person on the planet would love to see an end to war, though once established utopia may look very different depending on one’s views on religion and governments’ roles. Seeing an end to global hunger and sickness has been a common goal of societies for all of human history [snip] For each of these aspirations, a key difference between leftists and non-leftists tends to be a fundamental understanding of human nature.

In a time of global energy instability featuring an embargo on Russian energy, the EU’s wealthiest nations have embraced coal as a savior like the Peanuts character Linus grasping his blanket. Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands are planning to utilize their coal plants to make up for a shortage in power from gas plants. Although many gas drilling projects have been resurrected around Europe, electricity from gas plants is set to decrease due to the Russian ban.

Believe it or not, overturning Roe v. Wade may not be the Supreme Court’s most dramatic decision this year. Instead, its ruling on West Virginia v. the Environmental Protection Agency could prove far more consequential. It could literally upend how our government works. For the better. The case brought by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association before the Supreme Court presents the following, limited issue: “Whether the State’s denial of petitioners’ applications for concealed-carry licenses for self-defense violated the Second Amendment.” That’s a pretty tight question. Basically, it asks if New York has the right to deny a concealed carry permit to an otherwise law-abiding citizen. We already know (District of Columbia v.
