US Attorney General Merrick Garland said he is open to prosecuting Trump for his ‘role in January 6.’
Merrick Garland was asked by NBC’s Lester Holt if indicting a former president would “tear the country apart.”
“Look, we pursue justice without fear or favor,” Merrick Garland told NBC’s Lester Holt in an interview that will air Tuesday night.
Right.“We intend to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible for the events surrounding January 6, for any attempt to interfere with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another, accountable,” Garland added. “That’s what we do.”

Don’t go, Boss! That’s my strong advice to President Trump as he prepares to deliver a speech in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday at his alleged “think tank,” the America First Policy Institute (AFPI). Yes, it is important for President Trump to have a well-credentialed stable of policy experts capable of both building a 2024 platform and finding solid MAGA talent to populate a new Trump Administration. But the AFPI Trojan Horse—whose leadership is now bragging about how it will staff Trump’s “shadow cabinet”—is decidedly not that.

President Joe Biden said Monday that Republicans who voted against banning assault rifles are not on the side of police in America.
Speaking virtually to attendees at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference in Orlando, Florida, Biden said that Republicans who refused to ban so-called “weapons of war” are not telling the truth when they claim to support law enforcement. In particular, Biden called out Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott (R-FL) for refusing to support Democrats’ gun control efforts.
“Being a cop today is a hell of a lot harder than it’s ever been,” Biden said during his speech.

Kamala Harris opened up a roundtable meeting Tuesday afternoon with disability advocates by announcing her name, sex, gender identity and what she was wearing. The event was to mark the 32nd anniversary of the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act.(Snip)Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote her own parody introduction: I am Marjorie Taylor Greene. President Biden is working to name a monkeypox coordinator to confront mounting infections and calls from lawmakers and activists for a stepped-up federal response. White House officials also are deliberating whether to declare a public health emergency over the outbreak to cut red tape and improve data collection, according to the Washington Post, which first reported on the deliberations.
It is not uncommon for the White House to name a “czar” who coordinates the response to major health threats.(Snip)The U.S. has recorded 3,500 cases of monkeypox so far. Many of the infections, which feature a painful rash with lesions, have affected men who have sex with men

By now, you will have heard that Bruce Springsteen fans have been apoplectic over the news that tickets for his 2023 tour are in some cases going for $4,000 to $5,000. Ticketmaster, which is at least one corporation that the cultural elites do not seem to oppose, has defended the move by stating that it is part of its “dynamic system” allowing it to price “platinum” tickets on a system based on supply and demand. No need to find a scalper outside the venue. You can find one in just a few clicks. But as Bobby Olivier pointed out at NJ.com, back in 2009,

Just one-fifth of New Hampshire voters want President Joe Biden to seek another term in 2024, and his support within his own party has fallen sharply since last summer, according to a new poll. But likely Democratic primary voters in the key first-in-the-nation contest appear to show early signs of favoring an alternative to Biden: Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. The new Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, found that only 31% of Democrats want Biden to run again, down from 54% in June and 74% in July 2021. “President Biden is increasingly seen as

A poll conducted by University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics shows nearly one-third of American voters believe they may have to take up arms against the United States government.
The poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted from “May 19 to May 23 among 1,000 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.53 percentage points,” The Hill reports.
“Republican pollster Neil Newhouse and Democratic pollster Joel Benenson with input from students at the [Institute of Politics]” conducted the survey.
On July 24, the Hill reported the pollsters found that “twenty-eight percent of all voters, including 37 percent of gun owners, agreed ‘it may be necessary at some point soon

President Biden warned oil companies last week that if they don’t do more to help address rising prices, he will revoke their drilling permits on federal lands.
While touting that gas prices have fallen to below $4 at 30,000 gas stations across 35 states, he said more needs to be done.
"First, we’re going to look at ways to increase oil production from the existing wells and permits that exist today," he said. "The industry has more approved permits for production on federal lands than they can possibly use. That’s a fact. Let me say it again: They have more than they can use.

Fox News declined to air former President Donald Trump’s Tuesday speech at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) summit, despite airing a speech by Vice President Mike Pence hours earlier.
Although the network skipped Trump’s speech, Fox News aired former Vice President Mike Pence’s speech at the Young Americas Foundation’s national student conference just hours before Trump spoke.
Trump’s speech at the AFPI summit, organized by former senior officials in his administration, marked the first time the former president had been in Washington D.C. since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021.
Fox News’s decision to skip Trump’s speech comes as Trump and Pence are drifting apart

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) resents former President Donald Trump for stealing her political inheritance of policy leader of the Republican Party, Johnathan Tobin penned in Newsweek on Tuesday.
Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, has grown increasingly fixated on fighting Trump because the former president has reshaped the Republican Party toward American First principles and away from the uni-party establishment, Tobin asserted.
“[H]er animus toward Trump is rooted in resentment for stealing the GOP out from under her and other members of the old establishment,” Tobin wrote.

In an interview Monday on The HillTV's Rising, Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that he "didn't recommend locking anything down" through the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fauci is, of course, free to claim what he wants and spin history however he pleases, but he's not entitled to his own facts.
“First of all, I didn’t recommend locking anything down.”

I've been stocking up for months! When this Administration could care less about a baby formula shortage, high inflation, empty shelves, and high gas prices, the last thing they are going to care about is our animals! Heck, they don't even care about US! Start stocking up!
