I hate that I even have to write this article given my distaste for Dr. Mehmet Oz. It’s my opinion that Kathy Barnette has crossed a line in Pennsylvania, and we need to talk about it.
Barnette, who is running for the GOP Senate nomination in the state, has been locked in a fierce battle with Oz and Dave McCormick, the latter of whom has moved into third place in most polls. Now, she’s letting it be known that she will not support any of the other Republicans if she loses the primary. This is a big red flag ...

I live in PA. I voted for the persons who I think will have the greatest chances to win in Nov. My personal values are not as important as getting GOP to win.
A GOP contented loser is not winning.

It takes a committed team to win at sports, politics, and in business.
She is not a team player. Good for her that she made that clear before the election.

Barnette probably needs to be vetted more thoroughly. Democrats will gladly spend millions of dollars digging through her background if she's the nominee. The other two candidates are far from perfect but would have fewer surprise revelations.

So, that leaves Oz the rino,
or, McCormick the Blackrock-esque hedge fund dude.
Some days there's just no right choice...

I’ve made it no secret that I’m not a fan of Oz, and in fact, I’ve been largely complimentary of Barnette, but this changes things for me. We need nominees who understand the power dynamics at play and are willing to do what’s necessary to ensure victory. This isn’t middle school, and no candidate, even if they lose a primary, should just take their ball and go home.
Her admirers laud her talk. What she says, how she says it. She is a media person - talking is what she does. We haven’t the foggiest notion what she would do. This is not a good sign. If I were in my late Mother’s and her family’s home state, I could not vote for Barnette...

That she wanted to have a statue of the obama family (yes, the entire family) erected would be enough to make her a no for me.

Democrats are trying to select their preferred Republican candidate; in this case it's Barnette. They did this regarding John McCain and Mitt Romney. The New York Times gushed that McCain was by far the best Republican in the race. The day after he got the nomination, the Times skewered him with 1,000 cuts.
Barnette is a pretender. Last heard, she won't release her NGB Form 22 (from the National Guard). She's probably hiding something in that Form that will prove she's been lying again and again about her military service.

The GOPe strikes again. Barnette was in the race while McCormick & Oz were in Connecticut & NJ. My opinion is they are lashing out since they were so blind. Sands is fuming because she looks like the definition of a "Karen" and sounds nasty too. Guess you still can't just buy a senate nomination! Go Kathy B!

I agree w Bonchie. The most important pro life vote in the Senate is the one for majority leader.

Re #8, how do the “real” conservatives justify that? Sounds like they are afraid of an Oz they know so will jump in bed with a Barnette who is virtually unknown except that she is able to say all the things they want to hear. She has DONE NOTHING.
Wow. How proud they’ll be when she wins and can make all her real dreams come true. Obie and Mooch will be so proud.

She won't support them because she's not a Republican. Greg Kelly exposed her a couple days ago with a video she posted a few years ago. She said she's been a life long victim of racism and this country is systemically racist. She is a Democrat plant.

Why is it a big red flag?
Consider Oz who is Turkish, Muslim, dual citizenship, served in the Turkish military and Erdogan is practically a terrorist.
Consider McCormick, who last I checked had some deep ties to Communist China.
If I were Barnette, I wouldn't promise to support them either!

Someone's pushing her and it isn't good. Her ads were all over Harrisburg talk radio today, multiple times per hour.

This PA race is interesting. Oz is every bit the chance voters would risk with Barnette. BTW, Jeb Bush took his toys and went home after Trump beat the pants off him. Nobody went after him one time for not being a team player. George Pee Bush never has received scorn for running against a hard-working, true conservative Republican INCUMBENT Attorney General. The TX GOP leaders harrumphed all over the place at Colonel Allen West challenging our (weak) incumbent Governor Abbott. The GOP has one set of standards for the Ivy League friends of theirs they want in their club and always another for the less wealthy, less well-connected they do want in their Senate.
Those who think Oz will sail to easy victory in the general might have a surprise coming too. I am not a huge Barnette fan but I have read there are not a few PA conservatives who love Trump but dislike yet another Senate seat being bought because they can. The Republicans must win and there are again no courageous choices we can have a lot of confidence in.

Sigh…I don’t know what to think about this race. We have enough RINO problems in NE.

Anyone still wondering why PDT came out against her last week? He took a lot of flack for that but, as usual, it appears that he’s right.
