Now that Twitter is under new management, there are increasing calls for billionaire owner Elon Musk to move the company’s headquarters to a red state. That idea probably won’t sit well with many of its San Francisco-based, progressive-posturing employees who reportedly are melting down over the visionary and often eccentric entrepreneur’s stunning $44 billion purchase of the influential social media platform in the name of free expression.Parenthetically, the pro-censorship political/media establishment, as well as the blue-check brigade generally, are also experiencing a collective panic attack over the acquisition.

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter shows America needed “rules of the road for big tech.”Melber asked, “You have warned about the growing power of big tech. What do you see in Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter?”Warren said, “I see that we need to make two big changes. The first one is we need a wealth tax in America. Let’s talk about how Elon’s purchase here was subsidized by tens of millions of people who have paid their taxes every year. The second part is we need rules of the road for big tech.

President Joe Biden has reignited the fire among already outraged parents after claiming their children don't belong to them 'when they’re in the classroom.''They’re all our children,' he said Wednesday, addressing educators at the 2022 Teacher of the Year ceremony hosted by the White House. 'They are not somebody's else children. After Musk’s blockbuster deal to buy Twitter, the next obvious question was “What happens next?” Was Musk going to come in and completely clean house, kicking out all the woke staffers and leftwing leadership? Or was he going to take a more hands-off approach to the transition, allowing some of the worst offenders to remain in their roles? I think we are starting to get an answer to that.
In the last 24 hours, Musk has offered criticism of Vijaya Gadde, who is currently the top lawyer and head of the content moderation division at Twitter. She was responsible for not only banning Donald Trump but also censoring

A Delaware court ruled in favor of defendant Elon Musk on Wednesday in a shareholder lawsuit over Tesla's $2.6 billion acquisition of SolarCity.
Tesla shareholders alleged the company's acquisition of the solar installer amounted to a bailout, pushed through by Musk who sat on both company boards at the time. The shareholders also alleged that Musk controlled the board of Tesla, even though he appeared to recuse himself from some deal negotiations concerning SolarCity.
Had he lost, Musk could have had to pay upwards of $2 billion. The matter could be appealed to the Delaware Supreme Court.

Wisconsin 10-year-old Lily Peters was sexually assaulted after her strangling death at the hands of a boy four years her senior earlier this week, prosecutors revealed in a harrowing bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Judge Benjamin Lane agreed to prosecutors' request to set bond at $1 million and ordered the defendant to avoid contact with minors, except his siblings, so long as such contact is supervised.
Prosecutors identified the suspect through his initials and only as a 14-year-old boy and alleged that the eighth-grader admitted to physically assaulting the child before strangling her to death and then sexually assaulting her.

Technically, there’s nothing illegal about that. There is one small legal issue, though: as The Epoch Times reports, Durham has outlined evidence that indicates the “joint venture” between the

Maybe that’s why a home in Fairfax, Virginia recently sold despite a potentially transaction-killing quirk.

After the deed was done, five more cash offers followed.
Most notable about the house: It comes with someone already living in it.

A garbage man in Utah was filmed last week taking an American flag out of the trash and folding it neatly when he thought nobody was looking.
Don "Munch" Gardner, a Marine Corps veteran, was secretly taped honoring the flag by Huntingdon, Utah resident Brooke Cowley, according to Fox 13.
"I was a complete idiot! I was cleaning our porch while the kids did an Easter egg hunt. I threw away our flag and pole because it had broken and ripped," Cowley wrote on Facebook. "Then I witnessed our ‘garbage man’ stop get out of the truck, unhook the flag and take the time to fold it!"

With inflation the worst it’s been in 40 years, can a significant recession be far behind?
Deutsche Bank certainly thinks a major recession is in the offing. At the beginning of April, the multinational investment and financial services bank originally forecast a mild U.S. inflation. But on Tuesday, its team of economists wrote in a report to clients, which was titled “Why the coming recession will be worse than expected,” “We will get a major recession.” At issue is the rampant (and completely predictable) inflation caused by Big Left’s disastrous COVID-19 response. Shut down businesses and industries? You disrupt the supply chain and create shortages.

Conservative users who have been long oppressed on the platform for their so-called “hate speech” are making a triumphant return and even big names like Tucker Carlson and Mark Levin are popping back up on the site.
Back in March, after Twitter suspended the Babylon Bee for “hateful conduct,” which was just a harmless joke about transgender US Assistant Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine winning the site’s 2022 “Man of the Year” award, they also banned Tucker for supporting both Babylon Bee and Charlie Kirk, who pointed out that Levine had “spent 54 years of his life as a man.”

The pain at the gas pump shows no signs of abating, and the Biden administration seems to want to make it worse. The White House announced on Monday that it’s reverting back to the Obama administration’s policy of opening only 52% of Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve for oil and gas leases. Under the Trump administration, 82% of the land was open for drilling.
The National Petroleum Reserve is an area of about 23 million acres in Alaska, which the Harding administration set aside in 1923 as an oil reserve for the U.S. Navy. It’s now under the control of the Bureau of Land Management,

President Joe Biden is banning traditional incandescent lightbulbs in a push to be more energy efficient, but critics claim the switch to LED alternatives will prove costly for poorer Americans.
The Department of Energy (DOE) adopted two new rules Tuesday that strengthen energy efficiency standards for lightbulbs and will effectively phase out the sale of traditional bulbs by next year.
However, consumer analysts allege that not only are LED bulbs more expensive, costing nearly $4 each as opposed to $1 for an incandescent bulb, but are often not stocked in stores in lower-income communities. Around 30 percent of the two billion bulbs sold in the US every year are incandescent.

The April 27, 1972 edition of Inside Report, the long-running syndicated column by ace political reporters Rowland Evans and Robert Novak, came two days after McGovern won his party’s presidential primary in Massachusetts. The column chronicled the consternation of establishment Democrats over McGovern’s insurgent effort to capture the party’s presidential nomination.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said over the weekend that we’re going to have to “put up with inflation for a while longer,” which means that she has now held just about every possible — and almost always wrong — position on an issue about which she is supposedly an expert. Is it any wonder nobody trusts elites anymore?
Yellen was on CNBC over the weekend and, when asked whether inflation had peaked, said:
“Well, it may have peaked, but … I think the shocks emanating from this unjustified attack on Ukraine will prolong inflationary pressures. So, the outlook is uncertain.
