The U.S. has been feeding the Ukrainian military with real-time intelligence on Putin's war plan, which allowed Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the invasion. Ukraine's successful attack on the Russian IL-76 transport plane near the Kyiv airport in February was conducted after receiving info from the U.S. in an unprecedented intelligence-sharing operation with a non-NATO partner, former and current U.S. officials told NBC. Two such planes were brought down around the same time. Details on which of the two aircraft were shot down thanks to US intelligence have not been shared.

One of the reasons many Republican and independent voters alike are so attracted to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is his propensity to go bottom-line and say exactly what he thinks when he thinks it, in common-sense, everyday language, with zero sugar-coating tossed in to soften his message. Desantis’s recent comments about San Francisco provide a perfect example. During a discussion with supporters on Monday, the popular governor addressed concerns about whether new Florida residents from Democratic states could change the political demographics of the Sunshine State. As reported by The Washington Examiner, DeSantis assured the gathering that Florida has actually seen a greater surge in Republican voters than Democrat voters.

Ari Melber hosts a show called The Beat on MSNBC, and like many of his ideological comrades, he is Very Concerned™ about what might happen to Twitter with Elon Musk at the helm. In what has to be the most stunning lack of self-awareness and cognitive dissonance perhaps ever committed the world wide web, Melber took to the air on Monday to express his fears about the demise of fair play on Twitter. Melber worried that one person owning all of a site like Twitter wouldn’t have to be transparent, and that person might even be able to *gasp* secretly ban politicians they don’t like, or outright ban them, or even *second gasp* “turn down their reach.”

Twitter placed a temporary ban on any new product changes to prevent employees "going rogue" following the acceptance of billionaire Elon Musk's $44 billion offer to buy the platform, Bloomberg reported. The company will not allow any changes to the platform unless they're business-critical and approved by the vice president, people familiar with the matter told the outlet. The ban is in place until at least through Friday, Bloomberg reported. The move was taken in order to prevent any employees, upset by the decision, from "going rogue", one source told the newswire. Twitter declined to comment on the Bloomberg report.

Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter already has produced at least one liberal casualty. Shaun King apparently quit the platform after having claimed earlier in the day that Mr. Musk wanted to buy the platform to advance “white power.” “At its root, @ElonMusk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It’s about white power. The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech,” King tweeted just after 9 a.m. Monday, as rumors were circulating of the imminent purchase. In another tweet, the Black Lives Matter activist noted that Mr. Musk

Big Tech suppression of right-wing content is obvious to anyone paying attention but is difficult to prove. We see the evidence on our Twitter and Facebook feeds, but the driving forces behind what pops up on our devices are the clandestine algorithms that are meticulously maintained and well-guarded by the information gatekeepers at these leftist companies. The results we see are hidden within the programming used to spit out what we consume on these sites. Censorship, however, is different from suppression, though equally problematic. And censorship is measurable. A terrific recent examination of this issue by The Media Research Center focused on the censorship of unfavorable content concerning President Joe Biden

The Supreme Court on Monday looked poised to side with a high school football coach who claims he was unfairly suspended for praying on the field. The Bremerton School District in 2015 suspended coach Joe Kennedy, claiming his postgame prayers were designed to cause a spectacle. Kennedy pushed back, claiming he was exercising his First Amendment rights. During Monday's arguments, the justices seemed to take Kennedy's side. Justice Brett Kavanaugh pushed back on the district's characterization of Kennedy as an attention-seeker and said it's hard for a head coach to do anything discreetly during an athletic event. Justice Samuel Alito took issue with the district's rationale for suspending Kennedy.

From Breitbart News, April 19: RIVERSIDE COUNTY, California — Four times as much fentanyl is flowing across the United States-Mexico border under President Joe Biden compared to two years prior when former President Trump was in office. The U.S.-Mexican border exists in name only. Joe Biden erased it. His is a wanton act of disregard for the welfare, safety, and security of Americans. Impeachment is a must, should Republicans take charge of the U.S. House next January. Biden’s actions amount to willful dereliction of duty that constitutes “high crimes.” Ranking Biden administration officials running national security or law enforcement departments and agencies are culpable, too.

The Biden administration’s chief medical adviser made last year what C.S. Lewis might have called a “lunatic, liar, or lord” statement when he essentially claimed to be the embodiment of science. (Hint: he’s a bit of the first, all of the second, but wants to be the third.) Five days ago, this man went even further, declaring that the executive branch should be free to act outside of boundaries put in place to prevent an all-powerful presidency. He’s a menace. We’d all be better off if he were a Washington Nationals batboy rather than a powerful government functionary and influential media darling.

Barack Obama recently took to the stage at Stanford University to lecture an audience on the perils of disinformation. But it was Obama himself who used the occasion to spread lies and misinformation. This shouldn’t come as any surprise. In 2013, PolitiFact awarded Obama its Lie of the Year award for repeatedly promising the American people that “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” (snip) Would-be totalitarians like Obama don’t want to prevent the flooding of the public square with raw sewage. They want the exclusive ability to flood the public square with sewage and prevent its cleanup.

Twitter employees reacted with shock and dismay Monday as a new reality sank in: Elon Musk — the world’s richest man, free speech defender and strong critic of Twitter — would be the company’s new owner. On Twitter, in private messages and in interviews with The Washington Post, employees expressed fear about Musk’s $44 billion takeover. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, along with board chair Bret Taylor, held an internal town hall on Monday afternoon in which the leaders tried to assure anxious staff but offered few direct answers. A central concern was that Musk would attempt to break down safeguards to protect everyday users that staff had built over many years,  CORRECTION*

The United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) is scheduled to hear a case on Tuesday that will decide whether President Joe Biden illegally terminated the Migration Protection Protocols, known as former President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” program. In 2019, Trump instated the Remain in Mexico program that helped effectively eliminate the policy of Catch and Release at the U.S.-Mexico border. Rather than apprehending and releasing border crossers into the U.S. interior, the program required officials to return border crossers to Mexico while awaiting their asylum and immigration hearings in U.S. courts.

In its 2022 report, the commission also points to Russia, Iran, India, Nigeria, Syria and Vietnam among 15 nations the State Department should designate as being of “particular concern” to the United States because of their egregious repression of religious liberty.

It’s costing her a major endorsement just weeks before the primary. “It’s hard right now to even find law enforcement. One of my clients -- I’m actually doing an American Rescue Plan project in a municipality. Prior to the ‘racial uprisings,’ they would get roughly about a hundred applications,” said Democratic candidate Michelle Long Spears on April 19 at a forum.
