Poland and Bulgaria announced Tuesday that Russia is cutting off their gas supplies after Russian President Vladimir Putin said "unfriendly" countries are required to pay for gas in rubles. Russia's majority state-owned energy firm Gazprom sent a letter to Poland state-owned energy company PGNiG saying that gas supplies will be completely suspended by Wednesday. PGNiG also said its subsidiary GAZ-SYSTEM is affected by the decision.Bulgaria's Ministry of Energy said in a translated statement it "received a notification that the deliveries of natural gas from Gazprom Export will be suspended as of April 27, 2022." Bulgaria receives 90% of its gas from Gazprom, the BBC reported.

Maybe Poland and Bulgaria should cut off all gas from Russia? Tell the Russians to go to hell.

Ultimately, Russia desperately needs the revenue from gas and oil sales. Their economy runs on selling raw materials and energy, not products.

Russia is plainly and simply a 19th century gangster country. Why any other nation still does any business with them of any kind is beyond my comprehension. They are completely untrustworthy 100% of the time, and viciously brutal 90% of the time.
Those countries that still depend on Russia for any vital resource or service are complete fools. And their citizens are going to suffer...or die...for their stupidity.

This would all be a moot issue if that fool, Joe Biden, had not on his first day in office, destroyed our energy independence and ability to supply our allies with oil instead of them being held hostage by Putin. By that one act, he put in place the atmosphere that gave Putin the leverage he needed. What was an irrational and spiteful decision made by an illegitimate thief has the power to spark a world war. Biden has caused complete chaos in the world and effectively put us all at risk.

I have a simple question that I'd love for somebody to answer. Where are Poland and Bulgaria supposed to get the Rubles that Mr. Putin wants them to pay with?
Maybe they will have to buy some gold and transfer that into Rubles. Just asking!!
Or pay the corrupt Putin with the gold!! Just asking!!

Except for the fact that Russia has historically produced some of the best artists and music composers in the world, the country has reduced itself to that of a giant gas can. Have any new inventions, innovations, technologies, and intellectual property come from Russia lately?...please wait, give me a minute...still thinking.
And now the russkies forego critical revenue by suspending energy sales to some EU customers. What sense does that make.

Since they aren’t selling their oil to Poland and Bulgaria, they are probably selling it to China via a deal made by Snorter Biden with 10% for The Big Guy. Which is why The Big Guy shut down American oil production on his first day in office. He and Putin are in cahoots and all of the “he’s a war criminal” talk from Joe is said with a wink and a nod to Putin. It’s all theater, but a play which is costing thousands of lives and over a trillion dollars for Ukraine.
I’ll remove my tin foil hat now.

As to other countries should cut off supplies from Russia, the US imports a huge volume of fertilizer and, as far as I can tell, still some oil from that country.

When President Trump left office, the United States was producing more oil and gas than we needed for the first time in decades. If Biden had not trashed this with his war on fossil fuels, we could have helped mitigate the problem of Russia cutting off gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria. But, we can not do this. Biden has returned us to needing to import oil and gas to meet our needs. He has put us in the position of having to beg Iran and Venezuela to sell us oil.
Way to go Brandon!

Biden and Blinken started this war by putting wokism into Ukraine, along with NATO. Russia is having none of it in their back yard. I agree with Russia on the issue, as I want none of Biden or Blinken either. Frankly, I would repudiate any debt this pair runs up, and let the world know it.

During the Cold War, I realized that the Soviet Union was really nothing but a Mafia with a flag and a military. Post Cold War it has become even more obvious to be such. The "Oligarchs" were mostly former KGB officials who made off with specific sectors of Soviet enterprises, such as Oil, Natural Gas, Mining, Lumber, etc. All under the control (ultimately) of Vlad Putin, the "Godfather" of Russia.
