During a portion of an interview with NBC News aired on Monday’s edition of “NBC Nightly News,” Hidalgo County, TX Sheriff Eddie Guerra (D) urged the Biden administration to reconsider its decision to rescind Title 42 and said that Border Patrol told him to have his officers ready in case ports of entry are overwhelmed and this means “deputies dressed in their riot gear with their shields and their helmets and batons to keep the crowd at bay.”
NBC News Correspondent Julia Ainsley introduced her interview with Guerra by saying, “Migrants who cross through the Rio Grande Valley come through this bus station in downtown McAllen. And officials here worry

In for a penny, in for a pound. And for Howitzers and more too: It’s a significant move, one that may escalate matters with Vladimir Putin. Ukraine’s unexpectedly robust defense has had one unfortunate effect, which is that they have run out of heavier artillery ammunition necessary to stop and then to roll back Russian invaders. Over the weekend, that supply issue became critical, especially with the looming Russian offensive in the Donbas region.
It looks like NATO has run short as well on the Soviet inventory:
There is growing concern about the need to get more ammunition — and in particular artillery ammunition — to Ukrainian forces more rapidly

We’ve talked about the change of ownership of CNN and how the word was that they would be changing things to move CNN back to its roots of being a news organization, the way it was decades ago.
Now, David Zaslav, the Warner Bros. Discovery head who is taking over the conglomerate that includes CNN and a variety of other entertainment networks, is speaking out on his intentions. He sat with Oprah Winfrey this past week, outlined some of the changes that would be coming, and bashed “advocacy networks.”
The CEO told Winfrey that CNN needs to be about reporting and truth and facts.

illionaire Elon Musk would cut the salaries of Twitter's board of directors to zero if his ongoing attempt to purchase the company succeeds, Musk announced Monday.
Musk offered to purchase Twitter and take it private for $54.20 last week, and Twitter's board is working to fight off the buyout. Board members currently make between $200,000 and $300,000 salaries, equating to an annual cost of roughly $3 million for the company.
"Board salary will be $0 if my bid succeeds, so that’s ~$3M/year saved right there," Musk tweeted. Twitter's board adopted a so-called poison pill last week in its effort to ward off Musk's offer.

The largest American airline companies and Amtrak said they are dropping requirements to wear masks after a federal judge overturned the Biden administration’s mask mandate for air travel and public transportation.
American, Delta, Southwest, United, and Alaska Airlines all said on Monday night that passengers could fly without masks, with some pilots announcing the policy change mid-flight. U.S. district judge Kathryn Mizelle ruled Monday that the mandate violated the Administrative Procedure Act, and hours later a Biden administration official told media outlets that the mandate “is not in effect at this time.”

It was a tough day for Joe Biden at the Easter Egg roll on Monday. As we saw, he was ordered around both by the Easter Bunny — who turned out to be one of the people from the Comms department, Meghan Hays — and by his own wife, Jill, who was instructing him to “stay” after they were done reading and to “wave” from the balcony with the two Easter Bunnies. While they’re trying to wrangle him away from more gaffes, the effort to “handle” him makes him look even worse and then the handling gets reported instead. So I don’t think it helps him much. But Joe Biden had another

Hunter Biden showed up at the Easter egg hunt at the White House this weekend. FOX News reports: Hunter Biden, the president’s embattled son, was spotted during the annual White House Easter Egg Roll in Washington, D.C., on Monday. This is what happens when corrupt politicians steal the White House. The American people have no idea who is running the show behind the scenes of the Biden regime. Americans know that the Bidens were involved in Ukraine in financial deals in the past so does this still continue? We know that Hunter Biden was on the Board of a Ukrainian company along with his friend connected to John Kerry. They made millions being on the Burisma Board despite knowing nothing about oil and gas. They did not even speak the native Ukrainian language. Twitter has another potential suitor as it mulls whether or not to accept Elon Musk's offer to buy the company.
The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, said that buyout firm Apollo Global Management is thinking about participating in a bid for Twitter. The firm could support Musk or another firm such as private equity firm Thoma Bravo, which is reportedly interested in acquiring Twitter as well. Musk, who is one of Twitter's largest shareholders, offered to buy Twitter for $54.20 per share. The offer would value Twitter at $43 billion. Some analysts, though, think that it's unlikely that Twitter will accept Musk's deal.

We all get that political strategists like to cheerlead for their party. Some might even say that it’s their job.
I, however, think that a good strategist is willing to see and speak the truth. If their party is failing, they aren’t doing anyone any favors by pretending things are going well.
Which brings me to Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday and gave the most laughable assessment of the upcoming midterms I’ve seen.
According to Brazile, the GOP is “essentially running on fumes” from allegations of voter fraud in 2020, while Democrats “are running on the economy that’s roaring back” and “fighting inflation.”

There’s not much he can do to curb inflation.
There’s not much he can do to stop migrants from reaching America’s southern border. Or to reduce crime, or to make vaccine resisters get shots that would hasten the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
There’s not much he can do to compel cooperation from defectors within his thin Democratic congressional majorities.

This week another possible example of what might be turning into a trend showed up and it came from NBC News. Recently, Twitter pulled out a nuclear option called a “poison pill” that would flood the market with new shares of Twitter should any one person acquire more than 15 percent of the company, effectively making the current stocks worth far less and stopping a hostile takeover from happening.

President Biden's approval rating among Hispanics has plummeted as the historically Democratic bloc's support for Republicans continues to increase, presenting an electoral problem for Democrats, whose immigration policies have fueled much of this shift.Only 26% of Hispanic voters approve of Biden's job performance, compared to 54% who disapprove, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday.
Perhaps most striking, the poll found a staggering 41% of Hispanic voters "strongly disapprove" of Biden's handling of the presidency, while just 12% "strongly approve."
Hispanics represent the country's second largest voting bloc by ethnicity.

While sometimes you get a little truth from the liberal media, such as when CNN polling guy Harry Enten said how “really, really, really bad” the polling numbers for Joe Biden were — indeed, the worst ever for anyone at this stage of their term — a lot of the liberal media is still an acid bath of people hidebound to push the Democratic narrative to do what they can for Joe Biden.
One of the worst shills for the Democratic narrative is CNN’s John Harwood. But his excuse for Joe Biden — the latest Democratic talking point to excuse his failures — isn’t going to help him.

The Biden administration, like all political enterprises, loves to take credit but is loath to confess mistakes. Biden is currently looking for someone, anyone, to take the fall far escalating gasoline prices. A favorite scapegoat is the oil and gas industry.
According to many Democrats, the industry is a blight on humanity that must be canceled. High oil prices fit the DNC playbook, so be prepared to view morose montages displaying diabolical men drilling dirty oil wells. In an odd turn of events, these diabolical oil executives are being scolded because they aren't drilling oil wells as quickly as President Biden would like.

As President Biden’s approval rating continues to plumb new depths, even some members of his own Democratic Party have begun to ask the once unthinkable: Will Joe Biden last through his first term in office?
Such a question might have seemed a bit over the top, as Biden only entered office in January of 2021. But, after a year of record inflation and gasoline price hikes, devastating COVID lockdowns, a surge of illegal immigration, the botched departure from Afghanistan, and growing questions over the 79-year-old president’s mental fitness, a surprising number of Americans now think Biden won’t last even another two and a half years

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) suffered backlash online, with some accusing the congresswoman of anti-Christian sentiment, in response to her remarks over a video of passengers singing Christian music on a plane.
In the now-viral video, captioned “Worshipping Jesus 30,000 feet in the air,” passengers are seen singing a popular Christian worship song from within an airliner, though its full context is unclear.
The Minnesota Muslim congresswoman, responding to the clip, wrote: “I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?” [Video]
According to TMZ, the clip was originally posted by Jack Jensz Jr.,

For many years, I made my living writing TV shows for Disney. I was proud of my work, considering it a privilege to make kids laugh all over the world. (snip) I grew disillusioned with kids’ TV and walked away from the field.
Every kids' TV writer knows that when crafting a story, you have to be careful about “modeling behavior.” Whatever kids see, they imitate, so you should “model” positive traits in your scripts, particularly when writing for pre-schoolers. (snip) So Disney’s recent commitment to “add queerness” wherever possible can’t be explained as just trying to teach tolerance and inclusivity.

As BLM-Antifa thugs ramp up activities ahead of the midterms, the hypocrisy and mammoth overreach of the Justice Department’s investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, riot is coming into focus. The first acquittal of a Jan. 6 defendant who was “waved” into the Capitol by cops is the latest sign that the so-called “armed insurrection” is not living up to the Democrats’ hype. After the biggest probe in FBI history, not one charge of insurrection has been brought against any Trump supporter at the Capitol. We are reminded with sickening regularity of the double standard of justice applied to BLM–Antifa’s insurrectionists,

In case you need more proof that the conspiracy theory about Donald Trump that obsessed the press and congressional Democrats for four years was made up by Hillary Clinton and her campaign, here comes another piece of evidence: John Durham reveals that the “a secret Trump server is communicating with a Russian bank” claim is bunk.In a new filing, Durham reveals that the CIA concluded that cellphone data and Internet traffic provided by Clinton attorney Michael Sussmann was “not technically plausible” and “user created.” Just like the Christopher Steele dossier, they made it all up.

If you are skeptical of claims that an ascendant ruling class has been hard at work transforming the country into a single-party surveillance state in which only approved speech is permitted, your doubts should be allayed by the hysteria that greeted Elon Musk’s offer to buy Twitter. His proposal to pay $54.20 per share — 38 percent higher than its closing price on April 1 — was eminently fair. Yet it has been portrayed by our self-appointed patriciate as a dangerous power play by a sinister plutocrat with fell designs on democracy.

Last month, Gazi Kodzo, the leader of the extremist sect the Black Hammer Party, led a small band of followers on a protest march through downtown Atlanta, threatening Mayor Andre Dickens and the Atlanta Police.
He announced that he was armed with “a lot of guns” and had security for anyone who tried to shut him up. “Kill the police!” Kodzo shouted into a bullhorn as a follower with a cell phone camera beamed the march to the group’s YouTube channel. “To get free, you’ve got to kill the pigs.”
