The law of unintended consequences comes

Most private businesses sell their goods or services to whoever is willing to pay the money. Thats how one becomes successful and makes a profit. As soon as a business makes a public political or social stand, they lose customers and therefore income. Thats about as basic as it gets. These colleges teaching the kids that social justice is a virtue are dooming the businesses foolish enough to hire them.

Disney is afraid of the LGBT zealots. They prefer their support more than they do their customers who do not want their children exposed to all this sexual/gender nonsense. When you have a group of vicious vindictive and strident individuals that you know will come down on you hard, Disney wants no part of it. It also could be that the entire upper echelon are personally committed to supporting and advocating the grooming of innocent young children, but what about the Board and stockholders? No reasonable person believes their vigorous opposition of the Florida Bill protecting children from information that they do not understand or do not need is appropriate. Children need to learn the basics at school and leave the matters relating to sex/gender for parents. Our kids are suffering academically and these supporters of abnormal lifestyles want to turn the classroom into a woke indoctrination center using material totally inappropriate for young children. This is child abuse in its most scurrilous form. Injecting confusing sexual material into a child’s mind is grooming and Americans reject it because they know it is totally inappropriate and harmful. Disney has gone to the dark side and I don’t believe that parents will continue to support a business that has strayed so far from its founding, clean wholesome entertainment. It’s a matter of principle now and going after children is the hill that most of the American people are willing to die on. What an absolute cockamamie decision by Disney! Live by your sexual identity, die by your sexual identity. We are more than that but the left cannot and will not rest until they believe “breeders” as they call us not only accept anything they promote but must celebrate it. I don’t think so. Parents will do what they need to do to protect their children. Starve the Mouse.

How about the "unintended consequences" to Adult Females, who thanks to the trans movement, have literally lost their sexual identity. We need a new name for "women" that the alphabet people with male anatomy can't co opt. Maybe: "Uterus-arians". But I'm not a gynecologist... This will surely help us to respect a woman's rights. By reducing her to being merely a walking uterus. Thanks Disney!

Disney had a gold mine for decades and they blew it. They had a place that kids loved and had parents believing that it was okay to spend hundreds of dollars on walking cartoons and childrens' cruises. They foolishly went woke due to the mental illness of pedophiles and the woman who runs the place and the state of broke is right around the corner. Soon their Gay Day will be the only profitable one of the year.

The very concept of "unintended consequences" has been frequently misapplied to mask genuinely nefarious intent. This is a far more proper use of the term. Unintended yes, unanticipated no. They have carefully performed the risk assessment of being canceled by the left for failing to goosestep to VonWokenstein's march, opposed to the suffering the backlash of the deplorable smellies. I believe that assessment may very well be flawed. The behavior of the left has been fairly consistent for quite some time, at least predictable through linear extrapolation as it has been steadily rising. The backlash of non-left has been far less predictable, and has only begun.

It is incomprehensible that a corporation that has marketed family friendly entertainment for decades would turn on their customers in such a disgusting disrespectful way. Catering to the loud, obnoxious 5% of the population who insist that small children be taught gay sexuality and transgenderism when parents of all political persuasions are solidly against it has exposed Disney’s true agenda. This is rather heartbreaking.

Yes they may be afraid of all the lgbtxyzdwkdiu0ogm+7 zealots but it is not from the outside, it is from the inside. Disney attracts these deviant types like flies to roadkill. Living in Orlando we are familiar With Reedy Creek. Our Governor has hit on a wonderful idea. Disney is as dangerous to families as the FBI/NSA/CIA/EPA/DOT/DOJ is to the political process and everyone else in the country. A thorough housecleaning is in order for these types in management and production influencing positions. Disney has forgotten who their customers are.

One suggestion: Make Disneyland just for gays and those that support that lifestyle or want their children exposed to it. Make Disney World unindoctrinated. See which has the most support. Disney has their chance to please both groups. (Fits right in with California being the land of fruits and nuts and Florida a more conservative state.) By the way, why are the Disney characters wearing clothes if sexual orientation is now their main focus?

The following excerpt from a 01/04/94 LA Times article explains everything about the soul of the Disney Board of Directors and their officers: "Walt Disney Co. Chairman Michael D. Eisner didn’t get a 1993 bonus check--largely as a result of problems at the Euro Disney theme park--but he still took home $203.02 million. . . . According to Disney’s annual proxy statement released Monday, almost all of Eisner’s total compensation in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30 came from the $202.3-million profit he made when he exercised options on 5.4 million shares at the end of 1992 in anticipation of higher taxes from the Clinton Administration."

There is a question I need to ask and maybe someone on this thread will have answer. Given the subject of transgenderism, who pays for all of the medical costs? I knew at one point how expensive the costs were and if someone wanted to pursue this, it usually was out of their own pocket. The expenses weren't just financial because it included time as a cost. So, if someone could answer, it would help me to understand. . .

A brilliant chess move by Governor Ron DeSantis! Love this guy. The concept of creating special enterprise zones by the state government is a great idea as it basically cuts all the bureaucratic red tape and allows a business to quickly & efficiently build something large that will ultimately benefit both the business itself and the local people ... thus ... in the long run .... the state as well. Thousands of jobs were created with this exemption and those weekly salaries were given mainly to locals as was the purchasing of building material. Makes sense in the long run. However, it was never expected that the corporation benefiting from this special state aid package and carve out (in this case: Disney) would then turn around and bite the hand that is feeding it! It is not any of Disney's business to say that their "corporate policy" is to have a law, that was passed by elected representatives and signed into force by an elected governor, overturned by a judge or somehow repealed. Excuse me? Your job ... Mr. Mouse ... is to shut up and entertain people. That's it. Lose of this special tax-exempt status will crush Disney and trash their corporate debt. Someone with green eye shades in the accounting department better wake up and quick!

Today, unquestionably serious cardiovascular, thrombotic and neurologic adverse events related to the vaccine have occurred around the world. The FDA’s own vaccine adverse event tracking system (the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System or VAERS) shows substantial and serious risks from the vaccine, even though the FDA only collects an estimated 10% of all adverse events. Still, federal agencies and manufacturers aren’t officially warning the American public about these risks, despite having been privy to this information for almost a whole year. Why? Because it would counter the narrative that taking endless vaccines and boosters is your patriotic duty.

Lately, when we think about what’s happening to America’s military under Biden, we’ve been focusing on the Pentagon’s obsessions with race, LGBTQ+++ issues (especially transgenderism), women’s rights, and political “wrong think” (i.e., conservativism). That obsession has consistently put progressive social policy ahead of military cohesion and readiness. While many have criticized the current enthusiasm for judging the past by the standards of the present (and condemning those past leaders who did not meet them), few have noted how many currently dominant beliefs are totally disconnected from reality and have a profoundly destructive impact. I propose to discuss two of them here: ideas about the nature of mental illness which have produced what Charles Krauthammer called “an army of broken souls foraging and freezing in the streets” and the conviction that our planet is in existential danger from human-induced climate change. The latter has led to a wholly unwarranted, hugely expensive crusade to eliminate fossil fuels.

Former Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Iowa later this month, another key indicator he's pursuing a 2024 presidential bid. Historically, the Hawkeye State has held the first-in-the-nation presidential contest, the Iowa caucuses, which have launched and killed many a presidential campaign. Pence will headline the annual Story County Lincoln Highway Dinner in Ames on April 23 and pay a visit to the state's ultra-conservative 4th Congressional District earlier in the day, according to The Washington Examiner. This week Pence also launched a policy platform - the 'Freedom Agenda' -

Back in 1967, the Reedy Creek Improvement District agreement was created to lure Disney to Florida. The agreement allows the district governmental powers to facilitate recreational projects and tourism. Florida's legislature felt that it would benefit the state if recreational organizations had the power to act as their own government in areas like property development, water control, public utilities, law enforcement, and fire protection. The mouse eagerly took the cheese, and today most of the land is owned by Walt Disney World. It's been a pretty sweet deal (snip) Now Florida legislators are threatening to pull those special privileges if Disney continues to strike at HB1557

Detroit—New vehicles sold in the U.S. will have to average at least 40 miles per gallon of gasoline in 2026, up from about 28 mpg, under new federal rules unveiled Friday that undo a rollback of standards enacted under President Donald Trump. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said its new fuel economy requirements are the strongest to date and the maximum the industry can achieve over the time period. They will reduce gasoline consumption by more than 220 billion gallons over the life of vehicles, compared with the Trump standards. They're expected to decrease carbon dioxide emissions—but not as much as some environmentalists want—and raise new vehicle prices

The White House refused to rule out President Joe Biden issuing a presidential pardon for his son Hunter Biden or for his brother James Biden as federal investigations continue over their foreign business dealings. “That’s not a hypothetical I’m going to entertain,” White House communications director Kate Bedingfield said during the daily press briefing when asked about a potential pardon “I don’t have anything to add from this podium. Bedingfield was reluctant to address any aspect of the Hunter Biden story, after CNN, The Washington Post, and the New York Times recently published stories about the federal tax probe

President Joe Biden released a video Thursday to encourage millions of insecure and vulnerable teenagers to embrace the elite claim they can transform into a popular “transgender” person of the opposite sex: I want you to know that your President sees you. Joe, Kamala, Doug, our entire administration, sees you for who you are … deserving of dignity, respect, and support. But we know it’s hard when there are those out there who don’t see you, don’t respect you.Biden also threatened the loving American parents who disagree with their teenagers’ claims to be members of the opposite sex, saying:To parents of transgender children, affirming your child’s

Back in 1967 when Disney World was just a gleam in Mickey’s eye and states around the country were vying for Walt Disney’s approval to build his second theme park, the Florida legislature passed the Reedy Creek Improvement Act, which gave the Walt Disney Company a special carve-out, making it a self-governing enclave. The Act gave Disney “the ability, the power to build a nuclear power plant, an airport manufacturer, distill and distribute alcoholic beverages and lots of other things,” said Dr. Richard Foglesong, author of Married to the Mouse in an interview with a Florida TV station last year.

A Navy fuel ship will be named for the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in recognition of her efforts to advance women's rights and gender equality, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro said Thursday. The future John Lewis-class replenishment oiler — a ship that transfers fuel to the Navy's operating carrier strike groups — will be the eighth such vessel to be named for an historic figure who fought for civil and human rights. Others include former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, abolitionist and women's rights activist Sojurner Truth, gay rights icon Harvey Milk and civil rights leader John Lewis.

Former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin announced she's running for a seat in the House in order to combat the 'far-left,' who she said is 'destroying the country.' Palin has joined a crowded field of nearly 40 candidates looking to fill the seat vacated by the late U.S. Rep. Don Young, whose death last month threw Alaskan politicians in a frenzy. In a statement, Palin said: 'Public service is a calling, and I would be honored to represent the men and women of Alaska in Congress, just as Rep. Young did for 49 years.

In the eight child-porn cases that came before her court, former D.C. District Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson heard horrifying details of “sadomasochistic” torture of young kids—including “infants and toddlers”—yet challenged the disturbing evidence presented by prosecutors and disregarded their prison recommendations to give the lightest possible punishments in each case, according to transcripts of sentencing hearings obtained by the Post. In some cases, she even apologized to some of the kiddie-porn perverts for having to follow the statutes, which she called “substantially flawed.” Over and over, the records reveal, Jackson made excuses for the sex fiends’ criminal behavior and cut them slack in defiance of investigators

Open borders advocates – including those who serve in the Biden administration and on Capitol Hill – have been demanding that President Biden end Title 42 since the day he took office during a full-blown pandemic. Title 42 is a public health provision that was invoked by the Trump administration in 2020 at the onset of the COVID pandemic, allowing for the expedited removal of people crossing our borders illegally. While it is impossible to quantify a negative, it is reasonable to assume that preventing significant numbers of people traveling in large groups and coming from countries where
