Back in 1967 when Disney World was just a gleam in Mickey’s eye and states around the country were vying for Walt Disney’s approval to build his second theme park, the Florida legislature passed the Reedy Creek Improvement Act, which gave the Walt Disney Company a special carve-out, making it a self-governing enclave.
The Act gave Disney “the ability, the power to build a nuclear power plant, an airport manufacturer, distill and distribute alcoholic beverages and lots of other things,” said Dr. Richard Foglesong, author of Married to the Mouse in an interview with a Florida TV station last year.
eff around and find out... as the less obscene saying goes.

This sounds like a hell of a good idea. Why does Disney have its own city-state within the state of Florida? I’m guessing that back in 1967, nobody could imagine how big Disney - and Disney World - was going to get. It’s time to bring them back under the umbrella of state and local laws that govern the rest of Florida.

No, back in '67, Disney had such a good reputation that they were considered an improvement over local politics.

Disney has become it's own deep state for pedophiles and those that cover for them. End their self-governing status.

I wish Native American Reservations were put under State jurisdiction. Let's just say that it's high time everyone became an American.

If Disney has decided that their theme parks will be homosexual indoctrination camps for kids now, revoke all special statuses and slap a XXX rating on them so that nobody under 21 can enter!!!!
Sadly, Disney Land is in Cuba-fornication, so they will probably give them more tax breaks and goodies based on how well they indoctrinate the kids out there. But at least Florida is still a sane and moral state!!!

If he is indeed balking at this action because he doesn't want the GOP to lose the Disney donations, then DeSantis is not as principled as I had hoped.

Lifetime boycott of Pedoland. Cancel their streaming services, burn their VHS tapedtheir and DVD's, and never take your kids there. Sell their stock if you own any but before you do show up at their annual stockholder's meeting and sign up to speak and turn the wrath of God upon them.

The way is clear let the LBGTQXXLSMFT+-/ crowd have Disney. They love it, they can have it.
The rest of us will take our kids and grandkids to places, events, and amusements that make no attempt to groom them into confused little deviants.
Please folks, leave Disney in the dust in your rear view mirror.

Disney has chosen perversion over decency. Let them live with this decision. However, Americans who disagree with the direction they have taken have an obligation to basic human decency to leave Disney in the dust and never look back. Disney has wormed its way into the hearts of the people because they, at one time, offered good clean family oriented entertainment. Now that the public is hooked, they have taken a deep left turn into sexualized content of which they freely and proudly admit on video. Now that is brazen! We must as parents and grandparents take a stand for basic decency and the protection of children from this vile corporation by speaking up and doing the right thing. Make Disney’s brand synonymous with child grooming. Give them what they want. Let the less than 3% keep the doors open. I am not one for canceling but if there ever was a good reason to cancel anyone or anything, Disney just gave it to us on a silver platter.

Disney like most liberals is being hypocritical. The corporation is expanding business into 10 anti gay countries that, many, if not all, have antigay laws on the books. Where is the employee’s outrage? I’ll tell you - too busy being out raged about a state law that has nothing to do with being anti-gay but supports parental rights in their children's education. Disney has a theme park in China. Never hear anything from Disney or their employees about how their citizens are treated and killed if they cross the communist propaganda line. I wish Disney would leave their California bull crap in California and trying to ruin Florida.

Nothing that has come out of Disney since the 1990's is pure. Now we know everything was tainted and, like all perversions, it got worse and worse.
If you must show your youngins & grandkiddies this dreck stick to the much older stuff.
I personally wouldn't go to their "theme" parks if it was free ... and now we know the not-so hidden theme! Anytime a product has a message I avoid it.

Can't believe Disney is so stupid, actually verbalizing what they have actually been doing on the quiet for the last number of years..........now it is out in the open! Also, can't believe they, like any other number of companies I now boycott (hi there Coca Cola and LeBron James and cohorts for $ AND bowing to the mob) are letting a very loud yet insignificant number of activists (and that includes those in the News on air etc.) to dominate them.

FTA: "There’s a reason that DeSantis is tiptoeing around the issue of Disney self-governance: The Walt Disney Company is the largest GOP donor in the state of Florida. For that reason and others, the author of Married to the Mouse thinks the threat by Republicans to revoke Disney’s self-governing status is political “March Madness.”
I immediately wondered about the seriousness of this, which is disappointing if DeSantis is playing a game by threatening, when the circumstances appeared to warrant immediate action and not a wet finger in the wind.

Disney World, Disney Land, same old same old. But here's an idea for D.W. in Florida; take down the children's icon Mickey Mouse and put up a huge statue of the late Larry Flynt.

After DeSantis is finished with Disney, he can then do the same for the rest of the country with the radical bully globalists.
It's interesting how he has become the frontrunner fighting to save the Children in his state. His leadership is what will help us defeat the demons on the Left.
Keep Ron DeSantis in your prayers.

All that American parents and grandparents know...is...something's not right in Mickeyland...and WE will not support the indoctrination of our youth...so California's Disney staff can demand all day long...it means nothing to WE the people...WE have plenty of ole Disney movies in our private film libraries...and can plug in Cinderella free from gender confusion...she falls in love with a prince and lives happily ever after. the end!!

This started years ago when they started LGBTQ days at Disney parks. It has only grown from there. Disney Land also has its own carve out and it is very difficult for the city of Anaheim to investigate because of Disneys protection. The headquarters is in Burbank, which pulls from Hollywood and all of its "genders". I have a friend who works for NBC and he said the worst thing to be it a white, straight, male. Promotions are non-existent for them. Its time Disney felt it in the pocket book. They have a board of directors and if the stock continues to fall, this management team will be replaced. Let them go work for Disney China and try this crap. Enough is enough. With all of their new mark ups and charges, it costs and average person $800.00 a day to visit their parks. Between, parking and uncharges, food etc, why give them the money. They were the first to let their long time employees go during Covid and haven't helped them at all. Time to boycott Disney!!
