The average American was unlikely to see mainstream scientists challenging COVID-19 conventional wisdom outside of Fox News until recent months, when New York Times columnist David Leonhardt started shifting the Overton Window for elite discourse on pandemic policy.
That troubles the three dozen scientists, academics and journalists who gathered in D.C. last week to discuss censorship in science and ways to push back, perhaps through alternative institutions such as the nascent University of Austin.
President Trump's former COVID advisor Scott Atlas cohosted the "quasi-kickoff" of Hillsdale College's Academy for Science and Freedom, which he called a "seed" to be followed by larger meetings and smaller working groups.

In October 2020, prior to the election, Hunter Biden’s laptop was left unclaimed at a repair shop and turned over to the FBI. Yaacov Aplebaum has covered at length the Biden family corruption, their crooked international dealings, pornographic images of Hunter and others, evidence of Hunter’s drug use and the coverup of his and the Biden family’s corruption which he found on the laptop and elsewhere on the internet. (Warning, images in these reports are not for the faint-hearted.)
The New York Post, without all these sordid details and photographs, reported the story in that same month before the election. But in the face of widespread denial the story got

Stan Evans helped build the conservative movement by founding the American Conservative Union, the Conservative Political Action Conference, and establishing the National Journalism Center. He was, in addition, a tremendous journalist and thinker. His book “The Theme Is Freedom” should be a conservative classic, Steven Hayward observes in his new book “M. Stanton Evans: Conservative Wit, Apostle of Freedom.”
What also made Evans so very unique was his tremendous humor that he used to undermine progressive moralizing. Hayward notes that a standard liberal critique of America was to say that any country that can land a man on the moon can enact x progressive policy.

After pressure from Maryland parents, Democrat Delegate Sheila Ruth (Baltimore) has announced that she will not longer push the bill she initially sponsored to collect information on households homeschooling their children.
• Why the bill is dead: Ruth’s office has been inundated for weeks by irate parent’s calling and emailing to voice their opposition to the proposed legislation.
• What she’s saying: “There’s no technical reason that I can’t withdraw the bill, but right now, given the toxic environment around this situation, the best possible outcome for everyone is for this bill to die a quiet death … Introducing the bill may have been a mistake

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper—authors will go anywhere to flog a book—William Barr said he would back a candidate other than Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination.
The former attorney general, whose new book is “One Damn Thing After Another,” explained: “Yes, I think the coming presidential election would be a good opportunity for the Republican Party. The progressive left is showing a sort of totalitarian temperament.
“I think the Republicans can win a decisive majority, but I don’t think we can do it with Trump. He’s just too divisive a candidate.”
I wanted to dispute Barr. (Snip) I have lost respect for the man.

According to President Biden in his State of the Union, the war between Ukraine and Russia is a “fight for freedom,” a “battle between democracy and autocracies.” Those countries opposing Russia’s invasion are a “coalition of other freedom-loving nations.”
Perhaps for Ukraine, the war really is about freedom (though Ukraine is neither as free nor as democratic as Western media portray it). But for the Globalist American Empire, the crusade against Russia has nothing to do with “democracy” or “freedom.” (Snip) The battle against Russia is a new frontier of American policymaking: It is the globalization of BLM tactics and “cancel culture.” It is George Floydism converted from domestic cudgel

For months, defense attorneys representing the men accused of conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020 have built a convincing case of FBI entrapment, filing dozens of motions in federal court detailing how the government concocted the plot with at least a dozen FBI undercover agents and informants.
But District Court Judge Robert Jonker wanted to delay presenting that trove of evidence at trial for as long as possible. (Snip)
Jonker’s plan, however, didn’t make it past the first morning break.
After it became clear during opening statements that the defense could not argue their case without explaining the deep involvement of the FBI’s confidential human sources, Jonker reversed his ruling,

The Biden administration is offering nearly $1 million for groups to investigate alleged human rights abuses in Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, an effort that will delegitimize Israel, according to sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.
The State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) is soliciting nonprofit groups to apply for grant money up to $987,654 to "strengthen accountability and human rights in Israel and the West Bank and Gaza," according to a grant notice first posted online in mid-February.
Groups applying for the grant money will investigate alleged crimes inside Israel and these territories and "collect, archive, and maintain human rights documentation

My brother-in-law long hosted a radio show called “Whad’ya know?” The answer to which was always, “Not much.” I feel that way about the Russian attacks on Ukraine. It’s not that I haven’t tried. I’ve read everything I consider reliable on the subject and can’t begin to answer if the Russians are bogged down or simply regrouping. If they or the Ukrainians will win this fight.
(Snip) I know that we've been bombarded by propaganda on both sides, and the Ukrainians have been particularly effective in making Putin the world’s pariah and his country along with him, despite the fact that thousands of Russians taking great risks are openly protesting

The first white horse, pestilence (virus); the second red horse, war (Ukraine); the third black horse, famine (fertilizer shortage); and the final horse, death.
Stunningly, in this monologue Mark Steyn takes a tour reminding viewers of the past two years of western government action, while connecting the corporate mandates from the World Economic Forum. That outline is brave considering the mention of the totalitarian shift amid New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Europe, and the United States when attached to the WEF is normally a third rail of discussion.
(Snip) What we are seeing is a full-blown alignment of interests between globalist government and their partnered multinational corporations and financial institutions.

During an appearance on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) warned the turmoil in the world, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, was underway, there are still unresolved issues about President Joe Biden’s business dealings with Russia and China.
Johnson described Biden as “dramatically, seriously compromised.”
“That’s my concern,” he said. “We don’t know all of his foreign financial entanglements. We’ve certainly shown the indication of the advanced web of them. But I’ll tell you who does know: Russian intelligence, Chinese intelligence. Is that why he lifted the sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which again was one of the factors emboldening and tempting Putin to invade Ukraine?

As many governments are gradually being forced to pull back from covid restrictions, we have been searching for the direction of the next global assault on individual freedom and the sovereign constitutional republics of the world, including the U.S.A. We have discovered the next move of the global predators—already in progress—in their escalating assaults against individual and political freedom.
The next big assault on human freedom involves a legalized takeover of national healthcare systems by the World Health Organization. This stealth attack—with its initial plans already backed by many nations—will begin full implementation in 2024 if it is not quickly recognized and fought!

Some of the older people here who remember Stan Evans will appreciate this. Evans was a great figure in conservatism, starting when there was no movement at all, and he did a lot to create the movement. He believed we needed both freedom and virtue, was very much against big government and unnecessary adventures abroad. He was smart and very funny. I saw him speak a couple of times and he could have been a stand-up comedian. I'm going to get this book.
