That gasoline prices are becoming unaffordable to many Americans is becoming old news. What got us here, though, is a story unheard by much of the public. It starts and ends with green politics.
As gasoline reaches prices that made it a luxury good during President Joe Biden’s year in office, the White House is considering asking the Saudis to produce more oil. At the same time, the administration apparently wants more oil from Venezuela, which is languishing under a dictatorship that’s squarely aligned with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Iran, a member in good standing with the axis of evil.
“Joe Biden is frantically searching the globe

The price of Premium here in the FL Panhandle has gone up 50 cents in less than a week. It’s time to saddle up, ride north and put things right....this current batch of Yankee clowns have no clue what they are doing.

I think that they know exactly what they are doing. They are pushing their agenda against fossil fuels by forcing us to buy electric cars. It is the same mind set of those who mandated vaccines and masks on the public. They shut down businesses; they put people out of jobs; they forced people to stay home and stay away from family and friends; they made sure kids did not learn to read, write or do math; they made sure they brainwashed students of K-college to support their Marxist doctrine; they nearly destroyed America. We have to fight back. Vote the Communists out in November!!!!!

Note also the irony of the current situation. The dems have labored mightily to foist the fallacy of global warming onto this nation and the world. It is a lie and a poison pill for the US because our economic success is closely associated with abundant energy availability. The dems pushed it to establish more federal control over the Country, which is always their goal; power and money. They have always been able to sell their agenda because the associated painful costs have been bearable.
But now, the costs are skyrocketing and compared to just a couple years ago, it is painful and obvious. While the American people support the concept of environmentalism, every time you attach a high personal cost to it, they reject it. Now Americans are being forced to live it and they DON'T like it. Further, they are discovering, as opponents to Green policy have always told them, that the costs of energy are not just felt at the gas pump and in heating your home. These costs ripple across ALL business, raising costs to produce products and triggering inflation not seen in 4 decades since the hapless Mr. Peanut was president.
Further, this is not a policy that has been pushed only by Uncle Joe. The WHOLE DEM PARTY owns this, similar to the way they owned BO care but it is much more impactful.
Finally, Biden is forced to beg Putin, in the middle of a cruel and unnecessary war, to please, please give us more oil; when we have plenty of our own but the dems won't let us use it. The dems vilified Russia while Trump was president to make him look bad. Now, Putin launched a war. Biden is begging him for oil. This creates enormous cognitive dissonance in Americans. It also brings into clear focus WHY the US NEEDS to be energy independent. To carry out good international policy, we MUST NOT be dependent on ANYONE else for our energy.
Dems created the Green "crisis" for political expediency. Now they are wrapped up in the obvious high costs of their fraudulent policy.

Cap and Trade raises its head once again folks. A price cap for gallon of gas is most certainly on their minds! I remember Kruggie talking $4.00 permanent price cap for a gallon of gas during Obama regime. Would be a safe bet they are thinking of double that amount. Who is ready?

Remember this inflation touches Duce Biden's supporters too. They will soon tire of FJB just like we are. This just might be the two-edge sword that strikes the 'green deal' because people won't forget. I sure miss mean tweets and $1.89 a gallon gasoline about right now. Let Brandon Go.

The obvious problem now is that they have the forces working against each other, always a recipe for disaster. The elites want the dirty work to take place in other countries but they are simultaneously pushing Climate Change related changes on the dirty countries to attempt to clean them up, The costs in the whole process just get higher elsewhere. The endgame objective is to replace gasoline with electricity but that electricity will be as high or higher than gasoline because non-nuclear produced electricity is all about fossil fuels. Solar and wind were always non-starters and always will be.

I agree number one! I live there also. These idiots lost the global warming argument for going green and are now creating a intentional artificial shortage to justify the same ends. You know the old communist way “the ends justify the means” even if it kills America.

The price of oil (and thereby gasoline) is spiking due to the traders' concerns over supply disruptions (sanctions on Russian oil exports).
Therefore, the price of oil and gasoline will stay high, maybe go higher, until those concerns go away.
Meanwhile, Biden wants higher gasoline prices so EV cars are more competitive, and he is wealthy enough that those prices are incidental to his cost of living.
Frankly, my dear ones, Beijing Biden just doesn't give a darn.

Waiting for some reporter to ask the Green politicians for details. How is powering the world's largest economy with windmills and solar panels going to work?
