While running for president, Barack Obama said electricity prices will “necessarily skyrocket” under his energy plan. As gasoline reaches unaffordable heights for many Americans, never forget that the Democratic Party wants to inflict painful energy costs on the country. It’s in its political DNA.
As of Thursday, the average U.S. price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.32, the highest ever recorded in this country. A month ago, it was $3.48. A year ago, about six weeks after Joe Biden took the oath of office, it was $2.82.
Recent projections that the U.S. average would peak at $4.25 a gallon

President Joe Biden, sorely in need of an alibi as oil and gasoline prices soar and wreak havoc on the economy, now blames Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the spike in energy prices. In fact, surging oil and gas prices are the inevitable results of Biden’s own foolish green policies.
“Putin’s war is already hurting American families at the gas pump … I’m going to do everything I can to minimize Putin’s price hike here at home,” Biden told Americans Tuesday, as he imposed a ban on Russian oil.
Later, he doubled down on his claim.

The best thing about Joe Biden’s presidency is his penchant for short speeches. It is unclear if he has the stamina for the marathon orations of his predecessor, but certainly the American people do not. The dismal ratings for this year’s State of the Union Address bear that out as they did for Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress last year.
Who can blame them? The American people have endured much lately. One might not know that from listening to Biden’s remarks on March 1st where he evaluated the state of the union as “strong.” But leading societal indicators suggest a different adjective – “Hobbesian.”

The COVID pandemic unleashed Big Tech censors in a big way. Day after day, a handful of 20-something Silicon Valley leftists tweaked their algorithms to block, demonetize, and de-platform anyone who dared say anything that wasn’t in sync with government talking points, on the grounds that such “misinformation” posed a serious threat to public health. [snip]
So now that COVID is fading from the public’s list of concerns, we can all go back to normal, and socia
l media platforms will once again live up to their promise of being the online public square, open for the free exchange of ideas. Right?

That gasoline prices are becoming unaffordable to many Americans is becoming old news. What got us here, though, is a story unheard by much of the public. It starts and ends with green politics.
As gasoline reaches prices that made it a luxury good during President Joe Biden’s year in office, the White House is considering asking the Saudis to produce more oil. At the same time, the administration apparently wants more oil from Venezuela, which is languishing under a dictatorship that’s squarely aligned with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Iran, a member in good standing with the axis of evil.

Americans are deeply unsettled by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade neighboring Ukraine, a just-released I&I/TIPP Poll shows. The March public opinion survey shows Americans fear a widening of the conflict could lead to the involvement of U.S. troops and even the use of nuclear weapons by Putin’s Russia.
President Joe Biden’s White House and its supporters in Congress are telling a story of America boldly stepping up to lead Europe in its response to the threat of an aggressive Russia. It’s been repeated by some in the mainstream media.
But a solid majority of Americans are focused on something very different:

If Google, Facebook, Twitter, and the rest of the Big Tech bullies insist on stopping “misinformation,” why aren’t they censoring President Joe Biden for his repeated flagrant lie about the economy? You know, the one where he claims we were in a state of crisis when he came into office, from which he and his $2 trillion “American Rescue Plan” saved us.
Biden says it over and over again. Here’s a sampling over the past year:
“We’ve turned the tide on a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. And families are beginning to be able to breathe just a little bit easier.”

We listened carefully to President Joe Biden’s Tuesday night State of the Union speech for what he plans to do about our growing inflation disaster. We were not impressed. Apart from paying lip service to inflation’s impact on working families, Biden’s proposals will, if anything, make the problem far worse.
Biden’s senatorial career goes all the way back to 1973 — by coincidence, the very beginning of the 1970s stagflation, marked by soaring energy prices, roaring inflation, falling real wages, rising unemployment and a dramatic decline in productivity.
Sound familiar?

"Few pieces of legislation have done more in a critical moment in our history to lift us out of a crisis.” That was how President Joe Biden, early in his State of the Union address, described the $2 trillion “American Rescue Plan.” It’s hard to know where to begin in unpacking why this is so incredibly wrong.
But Biden himself provided one answer by spending much of his speech talking about how he’s going to fight rising inflation. The very inflation that the “American Rescue Plan” unleashed.
Put another way, what Biden said is that Americans need relief from Biden’s “rescue.”

Word has come tumbling out that Russian Vladimir Putin is descending into madness. Is it too much to ask true Russian patriots to rid the world of this tyrant before he does further damage?
Putin apparently thought Ukraine would be a summer’s evening stroll, that within days, if not hours, his forces could overrun the country with minimal resistance.
Instead, his campaign met stiff and heroic resistance from the Ukrainians and President Volodymyr Zelensky, who inspired a nation and a world watching when he declined the Biden White House’s offer to pull him out. He didn’t need a ride, he said, he needs ammunition.

Joe Biden capped off another rotten week of his sinking presidency saying he hopes his legacy “is that I restored the soul of this country.” His dementia might be relatively new, but he’s been a raging narcissist throughout his public life. Who does he think he is, Barack Obama? Or maybe even the Almighty?
In an interview Saturday, Biden also said that he wanted to be remembered for returning “some decency and honor to the office” and bringing “the middle class back to a place where they had real opportunity.” We might take on those delusions another time, but for

Yearning to breathe free has become an offense in Canada punishable by arrest. The extreme measures taken by boy Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in breaking up the truckers’ protest should appall every person in this country. But one group of Americans overwhelmingly approves of Trudeau’s jackbooted crackdown. In another time they’d be called the agents of tyranny, but for now they’re still known as Democrats.
Rather than sitting down with the truckers demonstrating in Ottawa to civilly discuss their grievances and seek a peaceful end to their takeover of the capital’s downtown, Trudeau instead launched “an unprecedented violation of civil rights.”
