Macarena had just put on a pair of skinny jeans when her phone rang.
On the other end of the line was an employee from BI Inc, the private contractor tracking Macarena’s whereabouts on behalf of US immigration authorities. The employee had received an alert that the ankle monitor Macarena was wearing had been tampered with, Macarena recalled them saying.(Snip)The US government program was launched in 2004 as a “humane” alternative to detention for immigrants waiting for their cases to be heard in court, a surveillance system that was supposed to keep track of people in the program while helping them access social services.
Sickening. Get the hell out of our country you free loading bums!!

Well, you wouldn't have to be constantly afraid if you'd stayed where you belong in the first place.

Government regulation of the border is insane.
Why allow illegal immigrants in to begin with if valuable resources have to be used to maintain their presence?
I just don’t get it. Don’t break the law and you won’t have this problem.
I understand that the Democrats want to get as many voters inside the country as possible, but I wonder if they recognize that because the rest of their platform is so ridiculous even new immigrants will eventually turn on them.
Interesting times we live in.

Oh, spare me, Guardian newspaper. You have horrendous problems with immigrants whose cultural norms are different than most Brits. Watch Tommy Robinson's movie about all the preteen and teenager girls who were molested and raped for decades in your cities and towns, and how difficult it was for those young girls and their parents to get justice. Then, write about our problems with immigration.

Being bothered with a phone call while you're pulling on your skinny jeans (and receiving loads and loads of free stuff)? How inhumane! Maybe everyone else should just stay where they are since this place is so cruel!

Trying to pluck at heart strings. If this article was meant to elicit sympathy ... mission failed. I would love to see an honest report on all of the damage these millions of illegals have done to our country, our society, our education systems, our counties, our towns, our neighborhoods, our pocketbooks, our families. THAT would really get the sympathetic response they're looking for.

Why should they be any different than those of us who were born here? Big Brother (Obama) created that massive "database" and along with Big Tech have be watching us all for years.

None of this story adds up. Since when are illegals locked up? They are all released and given free flights to Red states.

Take their ankle monitors off and put them in jail as had been done in the past. Let them see how prison guard surveillance compares.

Illegal aliens SHOULD have a terrible life here. Go back to your own country, you are NOT welcome here.

England and Germany are bound to have a 9-11 event at some time, as they have opened the floodgates to thousands of middle eastern terrorists. If you are here illegally leave now! Otherwise I hope you cower every day knowing you are a criminal.

Calling them 'immigrants' makes this article null and void.

I sure hope they’re constantly scared so much so they go home where they belong.

Planes leave for destinations around the globe from hundreds of American airports daily. Fear ought to motivate relocation, if anyone is indeed fearful. $2.2 billion buys a load of one-way tickets.

If they came here illegally, they SHOULD be afraid! Some countries would simply put a bullet in their heads as invaders, which is what they are.

Cry me a river! If they don't like the ankle monitor or other monitoring in order to remain in the US, too bad. They are always free to go back to their home countries where they are free to live unmonitored nd do whatever they wish. They chose to be in this situation. Suck it up and live with it. It could be worse. We could have sent you to some nice Mexican cartel property to await your illegal immigration hearing.

Ankle monitors inconvenience illegal aliens who are here working under the table and "accessing social services" such as free school and healthcare services for their children, and food stamps and other benefits gifted to any of them born in New America. The only solution I see is to cancel this cruel $2.2 billion monitoring program and return the victims to their homelands, posthaste.
